Abigail Zoey was born May 4th at 2:48 pm weighing in at 3lbs 14oz. She was 7 weeks early due to my having problems with my cervix as well as type 1 diabetes almost my entire life. My water broke two weeks prior to having her and they tried everything to delay labor until she decided she wasn't having it anymore and they induced my labor after 2 days of continuous contractions with nothing stopping it. She was a vaginal birth but got stuck in the birth canal due to her trying to turn and came out shoulders up and down instead of face down.

she was in the NICU for almost a month and finally came home weighing in at exactly 4lbs 2oz. she was so tiny that i was almost afraid I'd break her but that never stopped me from holding her every chance I got. she was and still is mine and her father's miracle baby. here she is when she was first born and now. she is now almost 5 months old and thriving. luckily, she had no BIG health issues when born and is healthy as can be now.

welcome Abigal and mummy, she is a wee cutie - love the daddy's girl pic x

haha.....he does too. we have it framed on the wall. there is no one who she loves more than that daddy of her's. i spend all day every day with her but he got the first smile. i felt jiffed. lol.

I think our preemies are absolutley amazing fighters and adorable xx

Sweetness, she is gorgeous. Can I ask, what was the tube thing taped to her head for?

that was her iv because she was so active that she kept ripping it out of her foot and hand. they finally had no choice but to put it in her head which really upset me because the day she was discharged, they went to take it out ( i was never there when they changed it ) and they ripped her hair out of her head. she had a head full of hair when she was born but now its thinned out im guessing from being pulled out.

Benjamin and Joshua were born at 31 weeks and 3 days by emergency c-section after I developed pre-eclampsia.

The first two are when they were on CPAP before being ventilated and the third one is of them in their cot together at about 3 weeks old!

So sweet! I love the fact they are in the cot together!

Yes our Abby knocked hers out a few times too. Luckily she came off it before it became a huge problem. Her feeding tube never stayed put either!

I wouldn't worry about the hair, most of her birth hair has fallen out now anyway and a new crop of hair is coming through. The front top bit is definitely the last bit to come through but is starting to make an appearance.

they are too precious! amazing what little fighters they are at such a young age! they let them stay in the same cot at the hospital? is that a normal procedure?

two bumps, your boys are just too cute and have come on great already, LOVE that they're sharing the cot very adorable, you must be so proud x

All gorgeous of course!

Hi scsweetness86, yes it seems to be in the SCBU the boys are in, although a friend of mine recently had twin girls at 30 weeks but at a different hospital and they didn't allow it there so I guess it must differ at each hospital!
