Is this a positive test? Its weird/smudged?

Ok.. I am trying not to take this to mean anything, but I've never gotten any color on the test area of my tests before. I know a line is a line but this line is smudged a little horizontally which isn't a 'normal' test so I'm afraid its invalid.

Please help!! I'll be testing again tomorrow morning (if I can bear to wait that long) but I need some feedback before then to stay sane.

I know what you mean about it being smudged but I still see a line. It looks promising honey. Hope it's the start of your BFP FX'd x

I can see a clear vertical line on both so i would say its +, have you got any more that you could use?

I found these cheapstick tests tended to leave a visable white line.

Im sorry but I think the dye has run from the test strip which has made the postive strip more white n promanent. Have you saved any of the urine from your first bathroom visit?

hun pls dont get to excited yet these test are NOTORIOUS for this happening, iv had this happen over 5 times and each time it was really a neg, if u ask me they should be took off the shelves for this reason
either way test again (maybe try a more reliable test) it could well be ur pos and u just got unlucky with a dodgy test , let us know how u get on huns.
sorry if this sounds blunt but i do not believe in saying its ur BFP wen theres a chance it could NOT be, test again then go from there babes

i can only see the smudge in the 1st pic, but on the tweeked one i can also see a faint vertical strip in the right place so fingers crossed for you. xx

the smuge is just where the dye hasnt settled lol if you left it few mins til its gone white you should maybe see a faded line looks like how mine did when i 1st dipped it should lay it flat and leave it, looks + tho x

I doubt the line would have picked up any dye if there wasnt HCG present, ykwim? I think its positive.

I think it looks like a Bfp and the dye has run....I had it twice and finally caved and bought a whole host of tests and got my +ve.Good luck!

It look like the the pee is still running through it..but even so I can see the line clear as day honey..

The test was definitely dry by that point. It looked exactly the same at the 5 minute mark, but I kept waiting for it to clear.

Charliemarina - wish I had seen your post last night! I don't want it sugarcoated so I appreciate your bluntness. I had this happen once before but with that test I had tossed it in the can before the time limit then noticed a pink smudge later... but that one DEFINITELY had no vertical line through it so this one still seemed different and I figured I had caused it by disturbing the test before the time limit was up. I've used probably 30+ of these tests so thats not a bad failure rate if it is an invalid.

Incidentally, this morning that pink smudge is totally gone.. I can kind of see some color where the line is supposed to be, but it requires a lot of squinting.

BFN this morning
My temp dropped a little further, looking pre-AF to me.

However my spotting still isn't here and usually arrives 10 or 11dpo and now its 12 and its not here.. not sure if I fixed my spotting issue or if there is reason to hope.

The only other thing I can think is that my pee was actually a lot darker when I took that weird test yesterday than it was this morning... both very strong yellow, but the one from yesterday was REALLY strong yellow.
Only have 3 tests left and don't want to run out in case AF is late...

aaarrrgghhhh i hate them tests so much huns, sometimes that red dye can get stuck for hours then all of sudden clear up, keep testing hunnie could end up with a beaming BFP tomorrow morning, keep us updated xxx

Well I talked to the doctor, and they consider it a positive. I mentioned how my pee was a lot darker with that test than with my negative this morning and they said that can totally cause the negative this morning.
They're going so far as to prescribe me the progesterone suppositories since my levels have been low after ovulation. So they consider me pregnant.

I'm not counting it for sure until I get a better test result though! No spotting still which is a great sign for me.
