Iui/ ivf february and march?

So ultrasound went awesome today! Lots of eggies on both sides :) ( about eight on my right around 8mm and six on my left with three that are over 9mm and will probably end up being the dominant follicle). They also counted any tiny follicles that would be there for growth next month and I have about 30 on my right and 18 on my left so no shortage of eggies for IVF next month if we need it. I would be THRILLED if we get a couple eggs that reach maturity this month for our last go at iui and especially since they are growing on my left which is the side we got pregnant with Elizabeth
Fingers crossed ladies!! :)

Sounds like a great day at ultrasound!! Thats alot of good eggs.... do you have to go back soon for more scanning?what cd are you?

I need a ticker to figure out what cd I am on..haha I always forget!

Lol I know what you mean. I go Friday and will be day 10. Hopefully we will have an iui by mid next week... Day 14 or so

So will you be doing iui on valentines day?? that would be nice.

I remember seeing on FB a saying that if your birthday is nov3-7 ( guessing dates) that you were a gift to your dad or something like that on Valentines day..hahaha

I'm in the 2ww and so glad i don't have to drive to clinic anymore...driving 3 hrs round trip in winter sucks. ( they were calling for snow squalls on my iui day...so scarey that i could have missed it.)

Chill billy that's insane that you drove 3 hours for the clinic trips!! Where do you live in Ontario? I'm glad you were able to make your iui though :) how many days are you in the 2ww?

I should probably have our iui sometime around valentines day but because we have had a stillbirth we are induced at 38 weeks so it would probably be a Halloween baby :) anytime is good for me though!!! Healthy and happy is all you can hope for :)

My drive was only 1.5 hrs one way.... but when you're only there for a 5 min scan and a 5 min blood test it sure does suck..LOL I usually hit up a few stores as I live in a very small town just north ( 35 kms) of Huntsville. I'm used to driving tho...but its the impending snow storms that can ruin everything.
When I was there last Sat for iui, they were waiting for a girl from sudbury... which is 3.5 hrs one way.. She was late.and doing something for IVF... So everyone was waiting for her. I would have stayed in hotel for sure.

Halloween ( or just before) for me as well.... when AF shows I always check my next due date..haha gives me something fun to think about.

and very true.....happy and healthy for sure!

Thanks for your support Angelmom, it really is so frustrating. I was hoping to have an IUI at the same cycle that I have my HSG but I think it is not meant to be. They didn't accept the public hospital bloodtest results (for me) or DH's SA Results. It is so frustrating. Cos all the test results came back normal, this could be our month...Well We ll try IUI in March hopefully.. If no luck then take a break for a few months and try IVF in the summer. I am so happy for your eggies Angelmom I can't wait to hear you get ur BFP :)

redder- so upsetting when cycles get cancelled... I had to go on birth control due to a cyst.. and then had cycles sept til jan cancelled due to high fsh leves as well as last 3 cycles i ovulated on my tubeless side. Its so frustrating.....
Spoil yourself this time and be positive that next cycle will be a good one!!!!!

angelmom- good luck at ultrasound!! hope you have some good eggs cooking in there!!!

Thanks Chillbilly. I am emotionally spent right now. We had a better chance this month since I had HSG, Bloodtest confirmed I ovulated last month( it doesn't happen very often), DH's SA was average. So It is so frustrating. Sorry to hear you had a similar experience. I actually took 2 days off :winkwink:

No problem redder and I think your plan for iui in march and IVF after a break sounds awesome. I honestly feel great after having my cyst month off... Forced me to take a break and unwind for a few weeks. Just soak up the relaxation time, have a couple glasses of wine and prepare for the the fatigue you will have in a couple months while in your first trimester :)

Chill billy I live only an hour away from you! We are just north of orillia :) I'm glad you got to the clinic safely and are staying sane for the 2ww! It's difficult but keeping busy always worked for me :) my husband and I have been going to the gym a few times a week to unwind, destress and play some basketball together. It's been an awesome way to reconnect and focus on the things we can do without having a little one at home

Redder- I'm pretty sure you are extra fertile for 3 months after HSG... so don't think its over yet!!!!! I can't believe March is just around the corner....and good news is when you get pregnant, you won't be huge in summer...silver lining.

Anglemom- I think we goto the same clinic in Orillia.
I live in a very small town ( pop 800) and closest town is 35min drive away so hubby and I dont get out much. Plus I hate winter so all outdoor activities are cancelled until spring! haha I actually tried cross country skiing at Arrowhead park...fell hard so many times I felt like I had whiplash..and every muscle in my body was tight and sore..then I got sick for 2 weeks.... So I am staying indoors..hahaha plus I had 8 yr olds passing me..that was embarassing.

Chill billy we definitely do :) I absolutely love our clinic and the girls :)
I know what you mean about cross country skiing... I'm brutal at it! Walks on a beautiful winter night are just as good :)
Are you taking Prometrium supplements after your iui?

They never told me to take anything after iui.. ( Don't even know what Prometrium is?) I'll have to google it....
and yes we have some great girls at the clnic...even tho Donna is on holidays til march... Glenna is doing a great job as she has only been there for 2 months!
much better then the clinic in Barrie.... I was told it is aweful there. When ultrasound was moving I had to go up to North Bay for my scan. So glad I didn't have to go to barrie!!!

Hubby and I try to get outside and go for walks.... we live "in the bush" so only 5 houses on our road.....and lots of forest, but snow is too deep and no snow shoes... But it sure is nice and quiet.... hard to go out when its -15 or worse..haha

Prometrium is just a progesterone supplement... I only get it bc my dad is an OB and gets samples. It's quite expensive and not necessary unless you have had miscarriages.

And yes I live the girls and Glenda is rocking the clinic! She's doing an awesome job :)
It must be so tranquil on the bush..., you should invest in some snow shoes for walks! Sooo much fun :)

I googled it right after I saw your post!!! haha gotta love google!
I have had 2 M/C.. but one was ectopic( but in my uterus..implanted way to high) and other was a Missed MC.. I didnt know I was preg til 8ish weeks. No Dr. after care so not sure if I have low progesterone.
I'm going to ask about it tho'

So is anyone else still on this thread..Hope I'm not a thread killer.haha

did anyone see the Drs show today... about twins, triplets, quads, and sextuplets?
scared the hell out of me..haha I had 2 follicles pop this cycle so I've been thinking about twins...
I keep joking with husband that if each egg splits we could have 4...bahaha

I'm hoping for 1....2 would be a blessing but the high risk pregnancy would be terrifying!

I didn't get the episode but I'm sure you would be fine :) all pregnancies are a risk and we just have to let go and hope everything goes well :) I'm sure it will :)

So tommorrow is the half way point to testing.....time is going by way to slow!!!!!

How is everyone one else????

I had an exciting nite...waiting in emergency to have my thumb looked at. I was pushing a package into recycle bin and cut my thumb on an open can.... gushed blood as I ran it under cold water..... the flap of skin ended up closing on way to hospital ( 35 min drive) so they just glued it....
Now i have a huge gauze wrap on it...so its 4inchs long compared to other thumb..haha
my dogs are obsessed with it.LOL
so I am now a lefty!!!
I had just watched the movie contagion so I was watching other ppl in waiting room..looking for coughing, or any other signs of contagious disease...LOL
what a night....

Sorry about your thumb :( I was at the clinic for my blood test (Rubella and Blood Type ) also DH 's SA is on Wednesday. He is stressing out.. I am praying for good results...I was hoping to have IUI this month but I am afraid it is not gonna happen. SA results take 2 weeks I will be 4-5 DPO by then. Seems like we will take another break before our first IUI. Fingers crossed for you ladies...All the best :)

redder- sorry to hear the tests don't line up with you potential IUI date... maybe a natural cycle will work for you....Count on next month for iui and have a fun month!!!

I got pregnant the month before we were supposed to start fertility treatments....a stressfree cycle is key... take it easy hun and if not then even better chance with iui next time...

and fingers crossed for SA.... did they give you instructions for a good sample? ie clean out the pipes then let it build up for 3 days??

Thanks for the tips ;) Nope they didn't give us any instructions. They just gave us a questionnaire and a sterile container...

Redder- good luck on Wednesday and I completely agree with chill billy... Have a stress free cycle and just have fun! :) much like chill billy I conceived my daughter the month before we were moving onto IVF. I seriously think the fact that I had come to terms with moving onto IVF and my stress was down significantly really helped.

Chill billy- how are you feeling? Do you get to tear Friday? Will you just test at home or blood test?
