January JellyBean mummies

Ethan was born on the same day as my little one! :)

Had a really good day again today. Toby has been so chilled out to the point where he has just slept and ate. Went into town this afternoon, fed him a ff before we left and woke him for a nappy change a few hours later in john lewis. He stayed awake then and I thought we would make it home to bf him (i had a bottle with me just in case) but walking back to the car park eh started yelling for a feed so had to dive into costa coffee to give him the bottle. They were really lovely in there and couldn't do enough for me! But then the little monkey only took 2 ounces (hes been taking around 4ish sometimes 5) and fell back to sleep. Ah well I got a nice coffee whilst I was there hehe!

We got home and he stayed asleep till his daddy got home at 7:30. Then hes satyed asleep on and off and had a feed. Hes waking up now tho. Lol!

In other news I am really enjoying a little glass of red wine right now! Yay! Cheers everyone xxx

Awww Lisa big hugs hunny :hugs: I don't really know how you feel but can jkind of relate when I went travelling to australia for 4 months I got really homesick. Used to make me cry about what I was missing out on. Hooray though you will be back in our time zone for a little while next week!! xxx

Awww Lisa it must be really hard for you :(

How long you back for and is it Wigan you going to?

he sounds a bit like Ethan. There are too many similarities between the too lol

smiffy and coleman, how come your tickers arent the same, they are a day out!

We will be splitting our time between Leeds, where my family are, and Wigan where OH's family and all our friends are.

Awww bless you Lisa. It must be so hard. :( big hugs. xx

Bryce is being a bit of a nightmare tonight and taking an hour or more to do each feed. We have got my in laws coming today and I am going to feel shattered! :'(

hi smiffy, i got in contact with our local surestart and meeting her next friday... after i posted replying to your post i said to Joe, come on we have to go out, so im gonna start going to clubs and things, there is a swimming one but im worried about getting changed afterwards, obviously i would get Joe changed but then he would have to sit and wait til i got dressed, just think he would scream the place down or something but its something i really want to do as he loves his baths

Mackenzie doesn't enjoy her baths. She doesn't mind being in the water but putting her in and taking her out is always a huge fuss. She hates having her washed too and cries as soon as the water touches her hair. :(

Thanks for the upkeep on the front page!!!

Eloise is starting to play up and every time I put her to bed for her afternoon nap or at night she keeps getting out of bed and shouting "i'm awake!" :growlmad:

That's so cute Naomi, but I'm sure it's not so cute when you're exhausted or need a break

Well, oh's parents have just left and now I cant stop crying. Its so f*cking hard. Its not that they've left as we will be seeing them in just over a week, as well as everyone else at home, its more just a reminder of how far we are from everyone and how much I miss being home. I am dreading when I have to say goodbye to everyone when we come back to US as we may not be home again until Holly is 9 months old. I hate hate HATE it and want to scream. Its awful as we came out here for OH's job and I end up feeling so resentful that he 'made' me come out here and now I'm stuck out here hating it, but it's not his fault and so then I feel terrible. Sorry to rant at you guys but its so hard, if I ring home I end up worrying my family and so feel like I have nobody to talk to. I just want to go home so badly I can't even tell you.

I'm sorry Lisa :( I couldn't imagine being without my family. Try not to think about having to leave them already, you're not even there yet (easier said than done, I know) Not long now...

By 8 this morning Mackenzie was already on her 3rd babygro! I'm sitting here in my underwear because the one nappy she dirtied went all up her back, through her gro and all over me. :dohh:

oh no Jolene what a start to the day!

These babies like to challenge us! Holly projectiled all over john last night, and the sofa, about 30 mins after she'd been changed for bed! :dohh: Fortunately I was asleep at the time! :haha:

:haha: but did he wake you or did he sort it out himself?

Well Michael and I have survived our first night at home. Got a couple of blocks of three hours sleep which makes me feel instantly more human having hardly slept in hospital. So nice to have my own bed back. I have decided to bottle feed with being on my own - we learnt how to breast feed in the hospital and I'm glad he has had his colostrum but feel bottles will work best for us. He is quite windy so also been using infacol. Did anyone else's newborn have explosive nappies when they first started to digest? He seems to poo a lot! His jaundice is starting to clear and think my stitches are getting a bit better too. He's asleep on my bed right now but going to try giving him a bath when he wakes up - his first one! Wish me luck girlies :winkwink:

Morning all gosh geeling fragile this morning I learnt my sensor monitor works as the alarm woke me up last night. I was in tears  not sure if he was holding his breath but it was long enough to trigger the alarm.

Hello ladies, sorry it's taken me a while to arrive! I've been reading on my phone but don't usually get time to reply :(

So are we all here now? Congratulations to everyone I've missed and welcome to all the new babies x x

Fraggles, must have been frightening :hugs: Glad all is well though x x

Sarah, the front page looks great! My daughter's name is Phoebe Josephine Zia if I may be updated please x x

Well, Phoebe hates the school run, screams every morning and afternoon :( So I bought a dummy yesterday and was going to try it this morning. And guess what? She fell asleep almost as soon as we went out the door :dohh: Things are good otherwise though, feeding going well although it feels like nothing's getting done atm lol. My big kids are good with helping though - most of the time anyway!

Hope everyone is well and will try and catch up properly later x x

He cleaned it up all by himself! Bless! He's pretty good though, he learnt fast when I had my c section and he had to do everything for a few days.

Well lil miss just went 6 hours and got up at 4am! :happydance: Cant believe how much better I feel. Think I've just managed to get her back down so off back to bed! :hugs:

Toby has been fussy this morning! Not screaming or anything but he has only just gone down after being awake pretty much all morning. We fed in bed again laying down and he was feeding for pretty much 2 hours from 6.30-7 then he fell asleep so I put him back in his bed and then he woke again at 8.10 and fed again till nearly 10! And he was wide awake the whole time and evry time he lost his latch he got all frustrated! Silly little monkey. I got up and dressed and then dressed him and by the time we came downstiars he wanted a bottle lol. He's taking lots of food today. But he took that in chunks too, 2 1/2 oz then dropped off and woke up 20 mins later still being cuddled and had the other 2 1/2oz.

HV been this morning and combi feeding obv agrees with him as since friday hes gone up to 7lb 14oz!! That's 8 oz he's put on! Little hungry horace, he's gonna be a right fatty lol. Keeping in the same centile apparently so all good.

Gah hes waking up now! Haven't bveen able to put him down this morning!! So much for grabbing some lunch!

xxxx

front page looks great!

Susie, have you thought of feeding expressed milk? that way LO doesn't have to latch but gets your milk. I find it's really convenient to just heat up the milk when she gets hungry... better than having to worry about mixing formula. Just an idea though.

:hugs: lisa. You'll be home soon enough.

I know there's more I want to type, but she's finally drifted off and the clacking of the keys wakes OH up, so I'd better try to get back to sleep.
