:happydance: well done Joanna! :happydance:

I've been to bf group today, Fearne not feeding much today she struggling to breathe with all the thick green goo coming from her nose when she sneezes, its never ending! No wonder she not feeling so hungry with all that in her! Least she well in herself, no temp and no crying! x

Hope fearne feels better soon do you have one of those sucker things to get the snot out of her nose I found them really useful

I am soooo peed off!!! We've had problems with our neighbours upstairs since we moved in as they have 2 kids around 6 & 8 and they run around constantly. That and they have the sub-woofer on their tv full blast so it vibrates throughout our apartment. We have complained three times now and went in to speak to the manager who assured us she would meet with the neighbours and sort it. Anyway she never did so I emailed her to complain again as on saturday & sunday nights they had their tv on full blast until midnight. She rang john and said she thought it was all sorted (useless cow) but she is now meeting them on friday. Well for the last hour from 6.15am one of them has been playing music full blast above the bedroom waking not only me but disturbing Holly too. Tried to call patrol to ask them to knock on and get them to turn it down, but they dont cover our building after 6am and the management office isnt open until 9am. So if I want some sleep it will have to be on the sofa, but I can still hear it in my front room!!!! Its just not fair, I bloody HATE this place!!!!!!! :growlmad:

Lisa :hugs: hope you get a bit of peace and quiet soon. I know how miserable it is having horrible neighbours x x

Abstersmum, fab news!

Jo, hope Fearne is better soon. Phoebe's been a bit snotty but nowhere near as bad - I guess it's due to having kids at school, they come into contact with so many germs earlier.

Sarah, thanks for updating! Hope you can find somewhere soon with a more understanding landlord.

Wow, I've managed to get on here twice in one day lol. Bet I pay for it tonight though! Off to put dinner on before Phoebe wakes up x x

Well Michael and I have survived our first night at home. Got a couple of blocks of three hours sleep which makes me feel instantly more human having hardly slept in hospital. So nice to have my own bed back. I have decided to bottle feed with being on my own - we learnt how to breast feed in the hospital and I'm glad he has had his colostrum but feel bottles will work best for us. He is quite windy so also been using infacol. Did anyone else's newborn have explosive nappies when they first started to digest? He seems to poo a lot! His jaundice is starting to clear and think my stitches are getting a bit better too. He's asleep on my bed right now but going to try giving him a bath when he wakes up - his first one! Wish me luck girlies :winkwink:

I would take Holly up there screaming and ask them to turn it down. Maybe if they see shes screaming they will realize you have an unhappy baby and be more respectful! Hope you get it sorted out!

Finally have a chance to come on the computer and happy to have moved over!!

Bf has been quite an adventure for me but I have been determined when Rhys was born he was tongue tied so he had a hard time latching on plus he was delivered by forceps because he wasn't turning and nobody knew how big he was going to be. Since he was delivered by forceps they said he had some forcep trauma and had clenched jaws... Not easy to Bf when he won't open up! Lol. Had so many lactation consultants try to help me and they came to the conclusion that because my milk wasn't in was another reason he didn't want to eat it wasn't enough for him, my little ham from the start.

All is well now and my little man likes to eat!

thanks hun, I did have one of those for Corey but that was nearly 5 years ago and have no idea where it could be. Don't know if it would suck the mucous up really its really thick and green, surprised she not really ill. Dr not concerned about it either!

Hope the meeting she has with them gets them to show a little more consideration! some people are so selfish, just a shame they live above you :hugs:

Thanks, and yes I agree its the bugs and dirty hands of all the rugrats who have been touching her, not only my son but my two nieces, my friends two girls, and anothers 3 girls. I hate it when the grown ups let them touch her but feel bad to tell them to get away from her!

Finally have a chance to come on the computer and happy to have moved over!!

welcome over Tara! xx

forgot to say both Fearne and me are about to get a bath, we are both soaked and covered in milk, not quite sure what happened but my usually non leaking boobs have gone mental this afternoon and its gone through my breast pads and soaked my top and bra.
Also at each feed Fearne is getting dripped on the minute she pulls off so she is also soaked! My boobs aren't even engorged to explain it, very weird!! lol

Has this happened to any of you other bf moms? x

I haven't leaked through any pads yet but they do fill up pretty quickly my poor boy gets a milk bath at his feedings! He gets lazy and lets it poor into his mouth, lol.

Well it turns out hubby saw the parents leaving for work at 6am when he left so its either the childminder or the older kid! Anyway, lets hope fridays meeting sorts it out.

I not bathed with ALex yet, (normally I am in with Caine :dohh: ) must try it as he screams blue murder every time I do it!

covered in breast milk? No idea what that's about... just kidding.

I'm always covered in breast milk (would abbreviate it to bm but that could mean other things. lol) I've given up on nursing bras around the home as they're too much bother and I seem to always leak through the pad and bra. It's me and a pajama top as of late, and boy, when my milk lets down, it's not just drips but a waterfall. Doesn't make sense to me, since i'm not engorged per-se, and I pump often so I know I'm not full. I like to think of it this way, and I say so to Madison: "Wow, even my boobs love you so much, all they want to do is feed you whether you're hungry or not!"

The boob milk is starting not to bother me so much though. If I showered every time I got covered, I'd never be out of the bath. Enjoy your bath with your lo. They LOVE them, as it reminds them of the womb. I'm so fascinated by it. I'll take Madison in, and only support her head while the rest of her body floats, and watch her relax immediately and sometimes try to swim! Isn't amazing our babies' instincts?

This may sound daft as I have never done it before but don't the babies like the bath a lot colder than you do? I really want to bath with Toby but think it will be too cold for me.

Also today my boobs have been killing me after every feed I have done. I am trying to alternate boob and bottle and when I do consecutive bottles I try to pump the missed feed. However I have been getting pain today after either the pump-only managed once- and feeding him. He's also been mega fussy latching on but he has been fussy all day really. think it might be the onion gravy from last nights tea as hes been very gassy.

Anyone else get food that triggers there little ones to be extra gassy or fussy?

xxxx

I don't have the gassy problem at the moment but I found out my little man doesn't like chili! I had chili for dinner the other night and he wouldn't breast feed after that meal.

Hey ladies. Not sure if ive posted this or not so im giong to post now...sorry if its a repeat.

I FINALLY stepped on teh scale yesterday. I was kinda scared to after taking my post baby pics as i still think i look aweful. I am now 1 pound less than pre pregnancy weight! How is it possible that i weigh less than when i got PG but im fatter? I still have a huge saggy belly. Its soo gross! I cant wait until after my 6 week check so i can start doing sit ups and work out. OH wants me to call around about gym memberships as he put on a lot of weight during my pregnancy too....only thing is I had a baby and lost the weight and he didnt. he looks like he could push out a baby any day now....LOL

Happens too often... lol... especially after this last growth spurt! I was leaking like crazy...

I haven't leaked through any pads yet but they do fill up pretty quickly my poor boy gets a milk bath at his feedings! He gets lazy and lets it poor into his mouth, lol.

yup! here too! Sometimes I have to place a towel/washcloth under LO cheek so that she's not completely soaked after her feeding..

I wish my LO enjoyed her baths! She screams like crazy for the first few minutes.. and by the time she's calm, we're already done and time to get her out the tub! :dohh: I haven't tried bathing WITH her yet... I would feel like a total loser if I'm in there with her and she's still screaming
