January JellyBean mummies

Hey girls anyone Want another baby? She is going in a carpark if not! She is fussing and feeding and ragging my nips for hours now, she thrown up a load once already and I feel like I've been mauled by a tiger not fed a 3 week old baby!

I've finally got her to take a dummy and she's settled and nodded off, not ideal if she needs to build my milk supply but she been awful scratching and pulling and wriggling and snapping when latching on. I've plenty of milk it's not that she's not getting enough! Anyone else had this? What a horrible evening its been! X

Happens to me ALL the time... I think LO has reflux though as she fusses quite a bit when she eats  and she's still eating every 2-3 hours :dohh: I've tried expressing milk and giving it to her in a bottle, it only helps because she drinks it faster so its less time for her to have to struggle.

How much expressed milk are your LO's eating right now?? Sarai won't take more than 3 oz.. is this enough??

Does anyone elses LO really like the bath? Oliver didn't really like it at first but tonight he was loving it, splashing and smiling away!! He's all lovely and clean now ready for his trip to Alder Hey tomorrow. He was born with cysts under is cheek so they are going to scan it tomorrow to see what type of cysts they are, then in a couple of months time they will drain them and inject them with something to make them go away for good  We arent in any rush to have it done as he will need to be put under general anesthetic and as hes grown up hes grown into it so it doesnt really stand out too much.

Heres a pic of him and his chubby left cheek

So I dont know what to think now. Last night was good and I drank half of my Timmies. I drank the other half this morning and he is rught screaming again tonight. Not sure its the cappacino now. How could he handle half of one last night but not half of one from this morning? God I hate this!!!!!

Sorry Jojo :hugs: Mackenzie also did that but thankfully that stage is over and now it feels so long ago. Hang in there. Last night she was restless and wanted to drink every hour but I'm sure that was because of the heat. It was terribly hot yesterday, we were all walking around the house in our underwear, lol.

He's so cute Emily. Poor little guy to have to go through all that.

Emily, how did you put the pic up without having to go through attachments?

good luck at the hospital tomorrow Ollie, Joe loves baths too although he prefers to chill out rather than splash, i do encourage him to splash but he loves relaxing in there

Joe only woke once last night for a feed! He woke at 2am and then again at 7am, so proud of him!

Mine ( also Olliver :) ) seems to - not at the stage of smiling and splashing but he stops crying when put in to the bath.

Good luck for the scan :)

Ollie's been a little restless today - from reading through today's post I'm not alone!! I have cut out a lot of caffiene but used to be a tea-head before going off it when pregnant ( used to knock out 10 LARGE mugs a day!!! ) and have only just re-discovered it again - tried to have just one cup a day and thinking that even that is too much for Ollie - gutted as I LOVE tea!!

Got discharged from MW today and went for 2nd proper walk with pram so baby steps in the right direction.

Hope everyone's well :)

What about decaff tea? That's what I drink. :) x

I might do actually - might keep my fluid levels up for BF - I drank that while ttc - just went off all tea when pregnant - it wasn't a caffiene thing - just tea....

Am really NO expert - struggling with getting to know Ollie myself but am reading the "Baby Whisperer" and just read the bit about baby body language - she suggests that wriggling and messing with hands ( scratching and pulling etc ) is more a sign of LO being overtired/ over-stimulated - as I said am really no expert :)

PS - after trying to get Ollie to sleep ( he only did 2 - 2 hour sleeps last night ) I now have one massive left bb and am desperate for him to wake up and feed!!! Isn't it always the way!! Have skimmed some off with the breast pump ( as was in danger of being engorged!! ) but don't want to pump too much and mess up the supply/demand thing.

He'll probably wake up then never go back to sleep for the rest of the day - aaarrrrrgggh - guess I need to catch a nap now before chaos ensues!!

Hey ladies!

Beginning of March is fine for me too. I love making plans. Are we still planning on it being at Meadowhall?

Lisa of course we will do one when your here too hunny! Loking forward to meeting you.

hb1 hope you get some relief soon hun! Huge boobs were the bane of my life too when bfing, specially in the mornings.

Well another night in the moses basket and it went ok. Toby went down after his bottle which he had a little earlier than usual at 10. We put him down at 10:30 not totally asleep and he nodded off and slept till 3:50am!! He was changed and had a bottle then wouldn't go back to sleep so I laid him next to me and cuddled him till he dropped off although he fussed for a while and kept grunting and kicking. He slept so much yesterday I think he thought it was awke time hehe. At the time I was cursing him as I wanted to get abck to sleep but in the cold light of day its not half as bad as being awake all night!! Think he must have dropped of about 5 ish and I then woke back up at 10 past 6 and put him in his basket and then he woke up when jacks alarm went off just gone 7. So not a bad night at all really but whenever I am up in the night it always seems for longer than it actually is. I feel bad having a moan about his little hour of awake-ness as I know some of you are having it much harder!!

We've got a quiet morning this morning then I'm out this afternoon meeting up with some work people which should be nice. Toby has been snozzing on me in his baby bjorn but I've just put him in his seat and covered him up and hes not asleep but hes quite happy with his dummy in to doze lol. I should probably go get dressed as hes gonna want a bottle soon!

xxxx

Indeed i am. Although yesterday he was really fussy about an hour after his bottle and I was curious so I let him latch on and he got some milk out and fell to sleep. To be hnest we are much happier on bottles! xx
