January JellyBean mummies

Emily, how did you put the pic up without having to go through attachments?

I used photobucket to host the picture then added the img code in here :)

Hospital went well, the surgeon/dr decided that hes not going to do anything with his cheek now, he's going to see if they disappear on their own, if not he will see Oliver again in September

So much for 5 hours between his feed at night, last night it was every 3 hours, if that!! Mummy was not happy!! Knackered today.

On a better note, my tommee tippee electric steriliser broke, so they are going to give me a refund, we went to mothercare to get another one and it was around £21 in the sale. I hope they give me the rrp for the refund, that would be cool. Just got to hope this one doesn't break now! better keep the receipt this time. :dohh:

i didn't have to wait- shortly after posting and trying for a nap I heard a fart and nappy being filled from the moses basket - several changes and dramatics and failed nap attempts he is now asleep in my arms - am in need of a nap myself!!

hx
awwww bless him! Does anyone elses LO fart like a grown up? Its like a firework party in his nappy and i have to tell people its not me lol:blush:

Yes!!! Me and OH were having mummy and daddy time last night, then from Oliver's crib we heard this massive fart! kinda killed the mood a bit with me in hysterics laughing. Hes more of a farter than a burper :haha: Bit like his daddy really

Alex slept about 9.30 until 1.45am then was fussing on wards and we were up at 6am with what I think was bad wind for him :(

He was in with me constantly fussing!

Meadowhall ok for me unless you want to meet in Notts? Name a day and will check my diary ladies xx

When we up for the meet?
:

If your meeting at medowhall can I join you please? :flower:

good luck at the hospital tomorrow Ollie, Joe loves baths too although he prefers to chill out rather than splash, i do encourage him to splash but he loves relaxing in there

Joe only woke once last night for a feed! He woke at 2am and then again at 7am, so proud of him!

Well done Joe! Izzie seems to b going backwards with her sleeping she has been only waking up the once for the last few weeks and now she wakes and won't go back down for hours. It only been since Tuesday night so hopefully it won't last x

Hi ladies. We had a good night. Sleep from 9-1, feed, up at 330 feed then up at 6 feed and didn't bother going back to sleep. I know I said before but his sleep sheep works wonders!!! Off to BF group today. Xo

We bought the prince lionheart slumber bear yesterday and it was great for his day nap. The womb sounds sent him straight off.

OK so those interested in meeting, is a weekend or week day better and is Meadowhall ok or do we need a play centre/soft play etc? x

Im easy on the day I dont drive so somewhere with public transport is good.

if meadowhall is a good location there is huge monkey bizness with lovely sofas and ok food and drinks very near by on the centertainment park. Good if anyone is bringing other children??

x

Any where around medowhall is good for me. I would prefer a week day if possible. X

Just got back from BFing group. Kieran gained 11oz this week!!! I'm so happy!! He weighs 8lbs 7oz now :happydance: and the lactation consultant is not concerned about his upper lip latch. I just have to keep working at gettin him to flange it out.

Any tips for getting a 2 week old into a sleep routine? or not bother? he really is touch and go with staying in his moses basket - sometimes we get 4 hour naps, mostly it's between 30 mins to 2 hrs. He could sleep easily on us but trying not to get in to bad habits.... also how do you stop the rocking/nursing to sleep so they drop off in their cots by themselves??

I'll post in baby club too but thought that we're all at similar stages.....

Hmmmm he is a bit young to be falling asleep alone I think.... some dont learn that until 6 months odd, some do. Its hit and miss here as Alexander sleeps well some days, not others. Bath, same covers/sleeping bag, sing same song etc.... just something you do every time. Also lights out helps us here. xx

Hey girls anyone Want another baby? She is going in a carpark if not! She is fussing and feeding and ragging my nips for hours now, she thrown up a load once already and I feel like I've been mauled by a tiger not fed a 3 week old baby!

I've finally got her to take a dummy and she's settled and nodded off, not ideal if she needs to build my milk supply but she been awful scratching and pulling and wriggling and snapping when latching on. I've plenty of milk it's not that she's not getting enough! Anyone else had this? What a horrible evening its been! X

Am really NO expert - struggling with getting to know Ollie myself but am reading the "Baby Whisperer" and just read the bit about baby body language - she suggests that wriggling and messing with hands ( scratching and pulling etc ) is more a sign of LO being overtired/ over-stimulated - as I said am really no expert :)

You might be right with that, she always cluster feeds but not usually like a wild animal. I have a 4 year old who constantly pesters her and wakes her uo so she was probably very fed up yesterday. he started again tonight so i put him to bed early and we just sat feeding quietly and so far so good! Thanks for that! x

Hi everyone, I have given in and resorted to using a dummy. She had fussed all night and wanted a bottle to chew on the teat so my mum said to try a dummy and she has taken to it so well. I am really scared about her becoming too reliant on it though. I also don't want to be up and down all night putting it back in.

Do any of you guys use a dummy and when do you give it to LO? Do they sleep with it?

Lucy x x

i tried joe on a dummy last week sometime but he didnt really take to it, we tried it again yesterday and he seems a lot more relaxed with it, we gave it to him at night time, he doesnt sleep with it though, just has it til he is relaxed then doesnt seem to need it after that, i must admit he has had it a lot today and we've had a really chilled out day today!
got another day on the childminding course tomorrow but ive got Malibu for when i get home! Delivered a few Avon books tonight, there are 140 houses in my territory!!!! Didnt realise there were that many, will have to see how it goes.

hb1 i reckon alex is overtired too now you say that as Caine is constantly waking him from naps all day :(

Luckystarr sometimes i have to keep putting it back in, sometimes he spits it out when he drops off xx

Sar you have me wanting a Malibu now! just so happens i have some downstairs, and coke too! hmmmm should i have one tonight or save it until i go to a wedding tomorrow.

Ahhhh stuff it! i've sent OH downstairs to get me one!! He's been having a bottle of beer each night this week, its only fair that i have some Malibu and coke :haha:

Oliver has a dummy, he doesn't have it that often, just if hes overtired and fighting not to sleep. Like tonight, he's been wingy and wouldnt go to sleep, as soon as i gave him his dummy his eyes started dropping and he was off to sleep before i knew it. It fell out not long after which woke him up, but i think he was that tired he didn't really care and drifted back off again.

mmmmmmmmmmm i had to have a malibu tonight just to check it was ok for tomorrow ;) it was lol
ive been given another night off, OH doing night feed/s tonight, he only woke up once last night, wonder if he will do the same tonight
