Thanks Jade. I managed to express 1/2 ounce yesterday and was so proud of myself and then I read your post about Alex drinking 5 ounces!!! That sounds like a lot of work, lol.

Jolene it takes a few days for body to catch up to pumping/feeding demand. My pumping varies from 1-6oz each side.

Laura how is quinn today?

does anyone else lo got twitchy/jolty especially when tired, my other son had fits when he was a baby and its reminding me of that, lots of people commenting on it too!

Gah feel poo today. So tired but Im crap at sleeping in the daytime and usually end up feeling worse for it. So I am relaxing by catching up with you lot. Toby went down well last night as usual and slept for 5 hours till 4 but after that he was really unsettled in his sleep when I put him back down and from about 5:30 onwards he was grunting and making lots of noises but he wasn't awake. But cos of all the noies I was trying to wokr out what was wrong and so didn't get back to sleep till I pulled him out at half 6 and changed him and laid him on me to try and settle him down. Think it must have been wind cos he burped when I picked him up but he didn't cry at all. Then after his morning feed when he woke up in our bed at about quart to 8ish he wouldn't stop crying! Even during the bottle and nothing would soothe him. His daddy got up and wrapped him up and took him off me and managed to calm him to sleep for a short stint of about half an hour then he was awake again but ok! We then bathed him and he had another bottle and since then has been his normal chilled self. Little monkey ahd me worried!!

We're waiting for him to wake up for his bottle now so we can go out to the shops. Hes due anytime otherwise we would just go out with him!

How is everyone else? Would love to know how to get a baby to sleep more than 4-5 hours even though I feel lucky he does that sometimes lol! Sarah Toby doesn't twitch or jolt really he tends to have a very pathetic crying session when hes properly knackered and seems to not be able to work out how to drop off!

Sarah Isobel twitches not her whole body just a body part at a time she kind of judders. The hv said a lot of babies do and it's because their nervous system is immature and still developing x

Quinn wasn't as bad last night but was still screaming on and off for an hour or two. he slept almost all day so i was expecgtinghim to be awake most of the night but he was not. Does anyone elses babies seem to sleep litterally all day once in a while? Quinn is usually awake for a good 3 hours in the morning but not yesterday.

So tonight will be the true test of no coffee. Ive not had any in 2 days now but the night i went out he had my pumped milk from when i was still drinking coffee so we will see how tonight goes.

Im off to take my mom and Quinn to London (an hour away) to buy a computer so he will probably sleep for the whole trip! Hope he has a good awake time today thou.

I can express about 4 off each when full

It gets better the more you do it hun. And also depends on the time you do it too. Ie: middle of night hormones are peaking!

I used to love expressing when Caine was at peak BF and be getting like 10oz off

hugs jade hope you both stop arguing soon, its valentines tomorrow! Joe been very unsettled today hardly drinking or sleeping in his basket, ive resorted to holding him so he can have a decent sleep, OH is cooking Jamie Oliver Fish pie and it looks brilliant, ive managed to crack on and do the ironing this morning while OH took Joe out in his buggy for a long walk along the seafront.
My other son has been to his dads this weekend and im still in my PJs, went on my childminding course yesterday and wonder if thats why Joe is being funny!

Where does everyone's LO's nap during the day? Kieran currently only maps on me in his sling which I love but it's hard because I never get anything done. His nursery is upstairs so I dont think I want leave him on another level while I am downstairs. Any suggestions?? It is also very bright in our lounge which doesn't help.

joe naps in his moses basket in living room but he is getting too big for it, will start putting him upstairs in his crib soon,
He has been a nightmare today, wont feed, wont sleep. crying a lot i wonder if he is coming down with something.grrrrrrr

Alex does not like his moses basket anymore he naps mostly in the day in his chair/bouncer (the vibration button does wonders) or on my bed xx

he has finally gone to sleep on daddy after a bath!
first time today he looks relaxed
I know i keep going on about it but just wondered what you would do if you were still bleeding 2and half months after c section! would you go to drs or would you think its normal, is it possible to have an infection? its not smelly or anything, yesterday was quite heavy and today just brown gunky discharge! Ive had to wear pads ever since he was born, getting sick of it now and when it did go for all of a day or something we and it came back really really heavy!

Hi everyone! Had a brilliant day today. My husband and I took Eloise to the cinema for the first time to watch Yogi Bear and she loved it! She got a bit bored after an hour but, was so proud of her being such a good girl. Bryce slept through the whole thing!

He is getting into such a good routine! He goes down at 19:00 after his bath and sleeps until 23:00 and then 2:00, or sometimes 4:00 and then up at 7:00. He has a wakeful hour in the morning and a couple before his bath, and is smiling and cooing so much now. Especially when I kiss his cheeks! Lol



Sarah, I would talk to your GP, I thought you were supposed to bleed less after a c section. I only bled for about two weeks. X

I would prob go to dr 6 weeks is ok ive heard but over 8 is too long i would think

I just stopped bleeding maybe 4 days ago from my c-section... doctor said it was normal to bleed 6 weeks.. I'm not sure about after that. It doesn't hurt to call and ask! But brown blood is usually a good sign

Sarai jolts quite often... she'll wake herself up from a good sleep with a giant arm jolt She STILL wakes up every 2-3 hours and I wish I knew how to fix it! Its really starting to wear on me.. *sigh*
