January JellyBean mummies

Well done Joe thats fantastic letting your mummy get some sleep.

Sarah good luck with your course xx

Jolene I guess with colic you know it goes by 3 months but reflux can last longer. Not sure whats best. Jacob is all mucousy but the doctor said that can be caused by reflux

Oh, I see :( I hope you find something that works for the little guy fraggles!!!

just a quickie, joe only woke at 3am last night then 6am, got my course today, will catch up tomorrow xxx

SNAP!! :haha: I was expecting him to wake up at 12 for his feed but he slept through, i gave up waiting and went to bed at 1 :happydance:

Well i feel that we are going to have a grumpy day today. Despite Ollys great night he didnt take his bottles down too well. He keeps choking, not burping and then being sick later on. Hopefully it will get better today. Hes been a bit moany too this morning, although i have had a couple of smiles.

I changed his seat over in his Bugaboo Cameleon yesterday. It was driving me mad that he wouldnt sleep in his carrycot when we were out so ive changed it to the bigger seat, parent facing and in the lying down position with his snuggly footmuff. He seems to fit it okay, hes lying flat but on a slight incline. He seems to love it, hes fallen asleep in it twice already and was happily chilling in it this morning while i was cleaning and sterilising his bottles

Thank you for your encouragement ladies, it really helped. I am feeling much calmer today and was able to sleep better last night.

:hugs: hope you can find something that helps Jacobs reflux soon. Poor little guy.

Has anyone used biogaia probiotic drops for LO? We used them when he was brand new as I ha antibiotics during csection so my chance of getting thrush was increased but haven't used then since. We talked abou them at breast-feeding group and they also recommend them for colic, reflux, gas etc etc. They are quite pricey but I recommend giving them a try. Just remember to refrigerate them. In Canada you can get hem at shoppers and in he UK They can be ordered from PCP Direct ( i have some on order for when we go over!)

Not heard of the drops but anything to combat thrush has to be good. Thrush bloody hurts.

Hi ladies now my bnb account has been sorted and I can use the site as normal I thought I would do an intro about myself for the front page.

Im Rachael, 27 live in Cheshire with my fiance Luke who Ive been with since December 06 and we are getting married 10/11/12 in Aruba. We have 2 gorgeous little girls, Phoebe Louise born 16.10.09 who has a severe Lactose intolerance and Jan jellybean Hayley Anne born 19.01.11. I'm a currently a stay at home mummy after being unfairly dismissed whilst pregnant and I am breastfeeding Hayley. I love watching OBEM, any hospital/medical programme and Chuggington (with Phoebe of course).

YAY for babies sleeping. Avery went 4 hours between feedings last night. When she takes all 4 ounces, she can sleep for 4 hours.

Just printed out a 20% off Carter's coupon, going shopping. Plus I need to get my son a Boy Scout uniform. How did my son go from a baby to an 11 year old graduating to Boy Scouts.

Sounds like there was some good sleeping babies last night! yay! x

I seem to have a sleepy baby today. He's feeding and sleeping. Hope he keeps it up this evening as id love a soak in the bath later.

Wish i had a sleepy baby today.

Sounds odd but i think Olly is teething. Not cutting any teeth but he has some of his back teeth there looking like they are about to pop out. Hes been dribbling the last couple of days and likes chomping on fingers. I panicked myself last night when i saw these white lumps on his gums, then i ran my finger over them, they are definitely teeth

Pinkemily- teeth already wow!!!

Speaking of do you all do mouthcare on your babies?

Soak in the bath? whats that? I'm lucky if i get a quick shower, washing my hair is a total luxury at the moment! I envy mums with relaxing evenings, its my worst time of day, though to be fair Corey is now in bed and Fearne is feeding lots but not constantly like last night! Maybe I could wash my hair tonight :haha:

Hope you got your soak honey x

Its not impossible its teething Emily, some babies are born with teeth and my friends LO had first teeth just before 3 months! x

I don't its not something I did on my son either. He didn't cut his first tooth unil he was 15 months old though so started brushing round his gums to get him used to toothbrush at about 7 months. Wonder wether Fearne will be as late?? Was starting to wonder if he even had teeth when we got past first birthday! x

emotional day - Ollie had a bad night last night after having a couple of fab days and nights - so after a 10 - 12 sleep he was up till 2am, then awake again at 3.40 then since then he was up every hour - OH took him at 6 so I could get some sleep ( we were meant to be going to my mum & dad's today and I was going to drive with OH in back with Ollie as my first drive out ). Up again at 8.30 to feed him ( he hadn't settled for OH in that time!! ) and he's been fussing ever since - using me as a dummy - me getting fustrated that he won't settle - coupled with hormones I've been a little weepy...

Plus - got all packed in to my car and had to jump start it ( haven't driven it since xmas!! ) then it won't go - seems that the hand brake has seized up - so that'll need fixing next week - trip to my parents cancelled - we're both shattered and that was the last straw!

Been driven to ordering a takeaway - bleurgh!!!!

Olly wouldnt go to bed :( After an hour of screaming i brought him downstairs and put him in his pram, he went straight to sleep but keeps waking up every 10 minutes. Hes usually so good at going to bed. Ive only just put my tea in the oven, washed and sterilised Ollys bottles, emptied the dishwasher and filled it back up again with the dishes that OH has left around since he woke up, hes gone back to work now. I think its going to be a bad night for me, and im all on my own until 6am

I dont do any mouthcare on Olly no, i really hope these teeth stop coming through. Maybe thats why hes being a pain in the bum. Hes just waking up again now, my tea is beeping in the oven. arghhh!

Awww Emily, hope you get some rest soon xxx

dont like to boast but Joe has gone to bed again really really nicely! I just put him in his crib and turn the mobile on and sit with him for a while then come down stairs and he just goes to sleep! Wow cant believe it, just hope it lasts!!!
