Join away Squeal Sorry to hear about your scare I've spotted a few times now and had some cramping and It was VERY stressful the first time it happened cause you just don't know whats up! I ended up calling my Douala and she said its normal for how far I am though, this is the time your uterus starts stretching and raising up. So now I don't worry so much. Every now and I again I'll see a little spot, and the cramps come a go. But it all makes since, Dang uterus is the size of a grapefruit now, I can see how that could be a little achy! HAHA!

My nausea is starting to get better..now i really only get nauseas when i'm hungry.Only thing is yesterday and today my breasts have been SUPER sore..i'm not sure why.Can't wait for next week i get my next scan

so I went in today and had my "official" pregnancy test done so I can get on insurance Was very uneventful. lol can't wait till the 1st to hopefully get some more in depth stuff!

Wow, 2 apnts pigboo? what are they gonna do at them? You'll be a busy girl!

yeah. i didnt think it was like that. the first was just kinda a meet and greet with the doc and they got all my info. then the second (which is tomorrow) is an ultrasound to find out how far exactly i am. then i have a nurse app on the 30th so she can go over all the what to do what not to do while im preggo. then dec 6th is the testing appointment. like blood and all the ucky down under stuff.

Well I feel absolutely awful. I have a really bad cold, I was sick four times this morning, sore throat, chesty cough, blocked up etc and just can't keep a normal temperature. It's going to take a while to get over with being PG too. Work sent me home today.

My breast soreness has gone atm too I hope everything is okay and all this coughing hasn't hurt the baby.

I had my booking in appointment today with the midwife so got loads of information and blood tests taken. I just need to wait for my scan date to come through now.

oh no I'm sorry your sick squeal. Hope you feel better soon... and I'm sure the baby is fine... our bodies are pretty good at making us feel awful and keeping baby safe even without additional ailments. lol

so in the UK do most of you go through midwives as oppose to OB's? or is it a personal choice?

I just had a look at a book the midwife gave me yesterday and it says we will only be referred to an OB if there are concerns or previous complications in pregnancies, so otherwise it's all mainly the midwife.

I had the day off work today to try recover, think it's helped, I've spent most of the day in bed.

I got my 12 week scan date through too - 16th December so can look forward to that.

My Aunt gave birth this morning, 25 minutes and my Gran ended up delivering her as the midwife didn't make it in time!

OMG! Congrats to your aunt and go Grandma! lol Thats very interesting about the midwife. In the USA we have the choice, unless we have a high risk pregnancy than we have to go through a midwife. I'll be going through an OB, I don't mind hospitals and having it all covered if need be.

Well I am having a june baby. The ultrasound said I was 12 weeks 4 days and edd is june 3rd. Will post pic soon.

I've had my booking in with the midwife too now, & had bloods taken, I'm seeing the midwife again at my place tomorrow morning to talk thru everything.. So I've been hoovering & scrubbing like a demon! Anyone else worry about what the midwife thinks when she comes round or just me being paranoid! I'm sure she won't have White gloves with her! Lol

12w Scan is booked for Tuesday afternoon, I'm really looking forward to that too. Because of my age (35) I'm worrying about the downs risks, & having the extra tests.. Anyone else thinking about this too?

well I am going with a midwife now but they don't come to your house here, I'll go to the clinic she works at. But I'm sure I would be uneasy if she did come here cause my house is an awful mess since I feel crappy and too tired to clean... I'll just wait for the nesting to kick in... lol

I'm in prime age to conceive (be 24 when the baby comes) so I'm not too worried about tests... so far I've been feeling fine and my family hasn't had any history with birth defects. I AM worried though cause, well as I like to put it, "wouldn't be surprised" to see two babies on the ultrasound next Friday... Hopefully its just a fluke and not that old fashioned mothers intuition... :O

My Aunt is 38 I think and her little girl is perfectly healthy so FX'd your LO will be fine too. Even at my age (21) and the risk being so much lower, it's still a concern for me too, I am going to have the scan and blood test just to offer some reassurance, if they're offered then you may as well take them.

Let us know how the scan goes mine seems so far away! Once we get into December it should hurry along.
