June...here we come!!!

Hi ladies :hi:

Is this a topic for ladies who are ttc there first baby this month??? I am currently trying with Pcos. My cycles are irregular but since I started metformin two weeks ago I have had my first natural period! And I'm on cycle day 7 and af as just finished, so we will be trying, I don't even know when I would need to test

Welcome to the group, we are glad to have you join this journey with us!

It is definitely stressful and emotional at times but that's why we are all here, for support, venting and questions we may have along the way.

Today has been more miserable than yesterday. I am having serious pain in my right hip and lower right back. I've never had a UTI or kidney stones before but I'm thinking it might be something along those lines. I also have a slight fever, 99.7 but nothing major. Got some cranberry juice so plan to drink that and increase my water.

I woke up with the pain so took the day off work. We made an impromptu decision to come up north to my mothers since it will be a while before we can make the trip with all the things we have going on. Sometimes a girl just needs her mom.

Welcome sarahlou!

Regarding when to use opks and how many to use. I usually do 2-3 Times a day. One with fmu, then later in the afternoon around noon, then again in the evening around 6. Sometimes I skip the evening one. Hope that helps:)

Thanks for the warm welcomes and replies :flower:

I'm going to try it this way I will do both including first morning :flower:

Also, if your cycles are long I would start testing around cd12. That way you don't waster a lot of tests.

I am not sure but I think I ovulated on CD11, not CD9 so I might only be 6DPO. Also, since I'm on progesterone I'm not sure how reliable my temperatures are. But we'll see!

I have recently run across some things online that may indicate the same cough syrup we take for cm can be used to boost male fertility. I am still trying to find more info but my husband is going to start taking it tonight.

Ok now I came across something that said black coffee before BD can help make the boys speed up. My husband will not like that. He is not a coffee drinker.

Hi floridasian :hi:

Im currently CD 9 and im not sure if im due to ovulate in the next day or two, because my opk tests look stronger than I have ever had now there negative again :dohh::shrug:

Plus my CM is like slippery and watery and when I wipe there is some egg white cm too but its cream in colour... sorry tmi ladies

These okps are frustrating me  Here is my picture of opks.

SarahLou, those OPK's are not quite positive yet . OPK's need to be positive when the test line is the same color or darker than the control line. But since you have watery CM I'd BD anyway. They might turn positive very soon! Good luck!! :)

I'm worried because it's slippery like water to touch sorry tmi

Me and the OH have been BD since af stopped so trying to just stick to every other day anyway at least

Floridasian me too! So glad to see them! The last cycle I did with the ovidrel shot to make me O I never saw a temp spike. On that same cycle I did start my period right at 13/14dpo. So will see if on cd14 if no af I will test.

SarahLou,

I often get fertile cm a few days before a pos opk. Here is the way to think of it...sperm can live in our body for up to 5 days. So it is better to have them there waiting for the egg. Having the cm early on helps them get there a day or 2 before the egg.

I hope this explaination helps. :)

I feel so restless. I really do not have high hopes for this cycle. So I am ready for my appointment on the 16th then move on to another IUI. I am still conflicted on what I want to do. I can't decide on 1 or 2 more IUIs before IVF. I really did not want to be in the process for more than a year & that mark is coming up FAST! So I think if I do 2 more IUIs, then IVF if needed, that will put me right at the year mark. Sorry...I know I keep talking about this & people are probably tired of hearing my indecisiveness...but I am just feeling anxious these days...and I feel like I do not really have anyone else to talk to besides you guys. I hope this next week goes by fast.

I also have no clue on my dpo...but I am going to treat this cycle as if I O'd on CD 14. I plan to do a test on Sunday...since it is Father's Day.

Beaglemom - don't worry about going back and forth. It's a BIG decision - physically, emotionally, and financially, and not one to be taken lightly so it's only natural to be unsure about it. Maybe you'll get lucky this cycle - who knows!

Hi girls, I've been MIA all weekend, but I have checked in here and there to read and stay caught up. I wanted to say welcome to SarahLou also! You found a great group here.

AFM, just been anxiously awaiting for this morning to get here, so I could do the hcg quant. They usually call with same-day results around 3:30 or so. So I guess I'll know then. I've def been more hopeful for this IUI than I originally thought I would since I'd been so focused on the IVF instead. But ALL the odds were def in our favor once the IUI rolled around, so it got me pretty excited. So I will be more bummed than I originally thought if my blood test today is neg. But that's okay... I'll be able to shake it off pretty quickly, and just continue the plan and be on our merry way to IVF, with egg retrieval being in about three weeks. It's really helping a LOT knowing that's right around the corner!

I forgot about your early blood test. How accurate would it be at your dpo? I have never had a blood test before. Everyone tells me to wait until a pos hpt. But I know you are doing it so you can be more cautious on your next set of meds.

I think with the 2 eggs you have a great shot this time, as well...especially since you guys kept up with the BD schedule.

Thanks...I just think I will feel so much better after my next doctor appointment. I just really want to talk to her & also discuss my husband's count. I am so confused by it. I think if there were a way to "chart" men, we would be more confused than seeing a woman's chart. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. Last time his count dropped from 44 million to 11 million. So the 11 million was the lowest count so far we have gotten...but his post wash was 9 million which was more than double the last post wash count. Makes my head spin to think about. But we plan to add in the cough syrup for him. I told him about the coffee thing...he hates coffee, so instead we will use one of the 5 hr energy drink shots. I told him to just use it a few hours before we BD so he won't be up all night. He has taken those before for work & they actually helped out his performance in the bedroom. So we will see how it makes the boys swim.
