June...here we come!!!

wow - you guys are moving fast.

Erin great numbers - here's hoping you see that BFP soon!!

AFM - finally taking the IVF class tomorrow. Now I have to go find all my questions that I had written down earlier...

So I played around with my chart a little bit and it looks like FF is treating watery CM the same as EWCM, because if I remove the watery CM data from CD8, FF changes my o date and give me dotted cross hairs for CD11.

I'm still confused when I actually o'ed, but I started the P yesterday. We'll see what happens I guess!

Erin, glad you got some good P results! I woke up drenched in sweat last night and someone said that can happen when your P is high, that makes me feel like the suppositories are helping.

beaglemom, my girlfriend used femara alone (never triggered or had IUI), and she said her O was always very uncomfortable. She was on the same dose as us. She said it was uncomfortable to walk sometimes. But I have the discomfort with the Femara and the trigger together. After both my IUIs for me, it was pretty bad. Btw, so happy you probably have this extra day and didn't miss it!! I'm sure DH won't let you down tonight knowing you guys got an extra chance! :)

Michelle, so sorry for the painful IUI! So far, my IUIs have only been done by my RE, and they were painless. For me, the discomfort comes after the fact, when I think my O must be occurring. Don't worry about just one egg! My RE said they only ever look for one or two anyway, because it only takes one egg to get prego. It's probably a good strong one. :) GL!

Bluebear, how nice that the cough syrup seems to be working! It helped me too. I was on clomid at the time though, and I had actual hostile cm. The cough syrup only gave me a tiny bit of stretchy CM, but it def got rid of the hostile stuff for sure, which i was excited about. Since I've been on Femara though, no hostile CM at all. i'm so glad it worked so well for you!

Hi to everyone else!! Hope you're all having a great day!

AFM, I went in today for my P test. This time they tested it at 5dpo (my chart says 4dpo, but there was that whole 2-eggs-2-different-days thing). They did it earlier than the standard 7dpo because I'm supposed to start the Lupron this week, and they have to make sure my P is good. My number was 38.7! Just to give you an idea... last cycle, at 7dpo, my number was 21, and they said that was good. This time at only 5dpo, its already 38.7. So that must be what happens when there are two follies releasing P...? That's the only thing I can think of. Anyway, I start the Lupron tomorrow. The nurse said they will do the hcg quant at 10dpo, so that's even better than the other nurse said. I know they think I'm crazy paranoid since they've told me time and again Lupron doesnt affect implantation or anything at all... but they're being very sweet about my craziness. :winkwink:

When you were on Clomid, when did you start taking the Mucinex? On day three of taking Clomid for the first time, and have thought about maybe adding Mucinex, or something similar, too.

Thanks!!

Amy, when I was using the cough syrup, I started around CD 10 I think. You can also use generic robitussin. Just make sure the only active ingredient is guaifenesin. I think what I bought was for cough only...but check the label. I got mine at Rite Aid & it was only like $3 a bottle. Much better than the $10+ name brand mucinex is.

Erin, there is no need to feel crazy. We are not doctors & we need to know what is going in our body. Don't worry, crazy will come naturally once you are a mom...aren't all moms crazy? Mine def is!

I took an opk just to see what it said. It was negative, but it was very diluted. I had gone to the bathroom around 4:45 (couldn't wait until I got home from work). Then before leaving gulped down the water I was drinking so it wouldn't be left sitting there all night. Then bathroom as soon as I was home about 30 minutes later. So I will test again the next time I have to go. Even if the opk is negative, does not mean tonight can't make it happen. My surge may be over or I may not have had one yet. I haven't been testing. I would have still not tested had we not skipped so many days.

You can do exactly like beaglemom mentioned or start a week before expected O. I had really crappy hostile cm from clomid so I started the robitussin cd8 to get a jump ahead of the clomid (I was taking clomid cd 5-9). I O'd around cd13 when on clomid, so since I'd usually start the rob. on cd8, I guess I was taking it for 6 days. Honestly, I got pregnant that month... It was the first month I was bumped clomid up to the standard starting dose of 50mg, and I think it may even have been the first month I drank the rob. and used Preseed. I'd have to go back to my charts and see. But I really think it helped for me because before that, I had really thick cm from clomid that I can't imagine sperm being able to swim thru! And like beaglemom said, you can get generic really cheap, and make sure the only ingredient is guaifenesin (it's actually the one for only chest congestion).

Thank you both so much! This is super helpful! I will look for a generic at the store tonight.

I've been debating about when to start OPKs and sort of landed on CD14. My doctor said I can expect to ovulate around a week after my last pill (so, CD16), but I've also read 5-10 days. But since it's my first cycle on Clomid, I'm worried I might ovulate earlier on it like you (CD13), so maybe I should start sooner?

I tend to be an early ovulater when not on meds (which is why I got on meds to begin with), and the clomid did push it out, but only by a few days. Since I was afraid of still O'ing early, I started OPKs on cd12, and sure enough, positive. Just be sure and wait three days so you don't get a false pos. Clomid can cause that, so Drs recommend waiting 3 days after last pill. Do you have some cheapies? They're the best to use just in case you don't O until your Dr says because you may go thru a lot of them. And then when you get what looks like a pos, you could use one of your good ones to back it up if you need (I sometimes have difficulty interpreting the lined tests for sure, so I used the CB digi opk with the smiley to make sure). :flower:

Thanks Erin for clarifying the kind of cold medicine. I was too lazy to check my bottle in the other room...lol!

Amy, you should also look in to conceive plus or preseed lubricant. It can be very useful especially when on clomid. It can be bought at Walmart, some drug stores, or amazon. It runs about $20 a tube, but it lasts a good amount of time.

I am reading Infertility for Dummies. I love the books that are not all bogged down with technical jargon.

beaglemom I knew they were low! So glad someone else agrees. This was by far the lowest number. It was 13 million then I think 18 million. Now 4 million. So crazy! I just keep thinking about the very few that have good morphology, 4%. If you think of the 4% of the 4 million that's not a lot at all. I sound so doubtful but I have been with this RE for 6 months and am still not pregnant. And with all the things that are less than perfect with this IUI I just don't think this is it. But watch this one will work lol

I can't remember for sure...but isn't the morphology higher in the washed? I mean, isn't that the point? I was so excited when our last one was 9 million. He had 40 million/4 million washed the previous 2 cycles. So I asked for the prewash number & when they said 11 million I was so shocked. I was upset at the low number but amazed how many made past the wash. A lower prewash than ANY of the previous IUIs or SAs...but more than double the post wash count (which is all that matters). it is so random & bizarre. And the worst thing is not much to help it. I wish months ago I had asked about clomid for him. It is supposed to help. But at this point, I don't see the point. But I will try to remember to ask the RE about that when we go in on the 16th. I want to discuss my fertility plan & if we need to move to IVF.

I didn't know about the morphology being better after post wash. I hope your right because that makes me feel better. I felt the same when I saw that number just pure disappointment. I was going to ask him today how many more IUIs before we move on? I have already one two others pre-surgery. So maybe 1 or 2 more and I'm done for a while.

Thank you! I'm also on clomid so glad it Worked as the clomid was causing me to become very dry! Hope your okay x x

Sarah have you tested? I'm anxious to find out if you got a BFP or not!

Thanks for thinking of me Floridasian!

Yeah tested today and yesterday. No luck. According to my usual cycle length, AF should have shown yesterday but looking back at my old charts (I only fully charted 2 months) I think I usually have a 14 day LP, and today is 13 DPO. And no sore boobs, so I'm expecting AF will probably show Saturday. I'm feeling ok about it. Not having symptoms anymore so I feel like I can mentally/emotionally just move on to next month and have high hopes for the RE.

Sorry for the BFN, Sarah. I was so hoping that this would be it for you. Your chart is just too pretty to be a BFN chart!

There is still time left for a BFP though. If not, hopefully your RE will be able to provide some answers.

Sarah, your chart is looking great like floridasian said! There is still time for a bfp this month, you might just be implanting a bit late. Hang in there! :dust:

And, I am the SAME way, I use the digi smileys because I just can't do the lines. But great idea, I will get a few cheapies for the first few days and switch to digis when I see some progress.
