June IUI Anyone else?

So I had my cd3 ultrasound on friday (it was really cd2). Everything was fine and I am all set to start menopur on tuesday the 15th, it will be cd6 when I start them because I was told that my meds would probably arrive on tuesday because I ordered them online. well I got them yesturday. but I will be starting on tuesday anyways. The nurse said it would be ok if I started the meds later since I never get cycles on my own. So I will be on 150iu for 3 days then 75iu for 3 days then I have an ultrasound on the 21st.

Good luck! So jealous of you starting already lol

I have a confession... I was supposed to take provera 10mg for 10 days but I wanted af to come early so I took 20mg for 5 days and got af on the third day after stopping provera. My doc has no idea. but that is why I got it early

you're giving my ideas! That's what I'm supposed to do...lol

I have my appt tomorrow fx everything goes great :)
I'm thinking af should arrive May 26 so iui should be around June 8th?
Not sure if the fs Errol change my Meds but the last 2 I did with clomid

waiting- how did the appointment go?

finally have an idea of everything. I'll be going in to get blood work done on May 30th, then start provera that day. I expect AF around June 7th, and we start the IUI process that day. Kinda tempted to start provera now... haha someone talk me out of it!

Don't start it early because then when you go in for your bloodwork your progesterone will be high making them think that you ovulated or could be pregnant.

I don't know if any of you will be on menopur or merional (they are the same thing) but I thought that I would warn you if you are. go slow when doing the injection because it does sting and it stings more the faster you go. I also found this out last time I used menopur, it can give you a false positive pregnancy test so do not test while doing injections. I did even tho I new that there was no way I was pregnant and it just led me to be really confused.

today is day 3 of injections

No-regrets- I laughed at the provera! Still laughing! I took 10mg daily a couple of months ago and was suppose to take it for 10 days and I doubled my dose too! I started AF on day 5 of taking it. Lol! U sound like me! Lol! Goodluck to u!

AFM- I'm waiting on AF to start my iui cycle, shouldn't be too long. I'm seriously thinking about injectable cycle. Either way, I decided this will be my last cycle trying. I saved my ovidrel from this cycle for my next. I'm beginning to think both tubes are blocked and I'm waisting my time. Will be my 3rd iui and just finished my 4th round of clomid. Gets old crying month after month. Goodluck to everyone!

Have you tried femera yet? It didn't work for me but neither did clomid but I have heard of it working for alot of women that ovulated on clomid but didn't get pregnant. It might be worth a try to change up your meds. I think it improves egg quality if I remember right, without the effect that clomid has on your lining.

I was just looking up femara. I think gonal-f is too expensive. My insurance doesn't cover any of this. I think I'm going to call the doctors office here in a little bit and figure out what to do next cycle. I'm 11dpo, AF should be here by Saturday

I used ivfmeds.com my doc called it in and I got my meds really fast like within a week. they are so so much cheaper than getting meds from the pharmacy. I am from the US also and although ivfmeds is out of the UK my doc had no problem using them.

I don't have any insurance coverage either. I think femera cost me around $300ish for one cycle I got it at the walmart pharmacy

Sorry I didnt check back in after my apt Tues but I'm soooooooo heartbroken.
The apt went GREAT!!!! The FS suggested I try one more round of clomid but also did give me a choice to do injectables but did give me the run down of how this ups your chances of multiples but doubles my chances from clomid. All was fine until I got back to work :/

The comapny i work for just got bought off so it went from being a large company with a great insurance that covered my infertility issues to a very very very small comapny with a not so great insurance who will not cover any infertility issues! I have cried over this so much I'm not sure how how much hte FS i go to charges without insurance but I'm alomost positive there is no way we can be able to afford her now or the meds :'(

hey, do you think we should combine these two groups into one? There's another June IUI thread that waiting made. I think it would be easiest to keep track of each other and this way we aren't writing multiple posts! https://babyandbump.momtastic.com/assisted-conception/987295-june-iui-anyone-else.html

Hi waiting, I have no infertility coverage at all so we pay for everything out of pocket. what we do is we save up for several months and then buy our meds from ivfmeds.com because it's the cheapest place I know of to get them. Each U/S costs $360 so we pay $100 per and then get billed for the rest. during our off time when we save up for meds we also pay off our debt. our last cycle left us about $1600 in medical debt from U/S, bloodwork, and office visits You just have to take it in stride, one day, one cycle at a time.

I should update.
I had an U/S today to check progress. I have done 6 days of menopur the first 3 days was 150iu and the last 3 I have done 75iu. The U/S showed no progress at all so now I am on 150iu until friday when I have another U/S

Waiting- hope you are able to move on! It is costly without insurance. I just put it on my intrest free credit card for a year and almost have it paid off from previous iui. I am now using my obgyn who does iui instead of FS because my FS charges to much!

AFM: waiting on AF still, I'm 12dpo and test bfn. Should be here by the weekend but I decided to stay with the iui/clomid/hcg. I'll take it days 3-7. This will be my last IUI. Too costly to keep getting BFN. Good luck no-regrets! I hope the follies start brewing big!

Hello Ladies - Hope everyone is well!! I imagine everyone is now almost ready or just getting ready for June IUI's!

No_Regrets & Angelbaby: If you have any questions about Femara, please don't hesitate to ask. This would be my third cycle on it.

AFM: I started femara/letrozole on Saturday (5/16/12). I'm to take femara (2.5mg) daily for 5 days. The only side effect I get from it is usually headache which started on Sunday (second day on it). Before m/c, I ovulated on my 18th / 19th cycle day. I'm hoping since my BCP break, my ovulation would be pushed sooner. I'm anticipating IUI on the week of June 4th ... fingers crossed that everything goes well.
