Hi everyone, this is my first time joining any kind of online support forum, but at this point I am willing to try anything, so hopefully you ladies won't mind if I join you.
My husband and I have been trying for 18 months. We tried on our own for a little over a year and nothing happened. After testing they found that I was not ovulating (I make a dominate follicle, but it won't release) on my own, and they found out that he had retrograde ejaculation.
So back in January I started taking Clomid 50mg (day 4-8). First month, 1 follicle was 18 and progesterone was 13.1; Second month 1 follicle, progesterone was 14.4; 3rd month 1 follicle, progesterone was 16.1. In April she upped me to 100 mg Clomid. Last month 3 follicles, 22, 25, and 25 with progesterone of 27.5. However all of that resulted in no pregnancy. All this time my husband was taking Sudafed before baby dancing to help try to keep his swimmers from going into his bladder. So in May I took my 100mg Clomid (day 5-9) and we made an appointment to see an RE.
We met with RE on Tuesday (5/29), she did an ultrasound (this was cycle day 11 for me) and said I had 3 follicles 11.5, 16 and 16. She said she wanted to see me again today (5/31) for another ultrasound and as long as everything still looked good she wanted me to do Ovidrel injection and have IUI on Saturday (6/2). Today I had 4 follies 22, 18, 12.5 and 12. The ultrasound tech said only the 22 and 18 would be viable for the IUI. She advised that I was good to go for IUI and that someone would call me later to let me know what time to take the Ovidrel injection.
So with all that being said, I will be having IUI on June 2nd. Does anyone have any tips or tricks based on above information? None of this is covered by insurance and this is the first time either of us has been through anything like this.
