I found the HB with the doppler today, what a joy to hear this sound!!! We were so excited. It pooped as soon as I put the transducer on my belly and I called my wife from downstairs. I think it was the first time we really let ourselves be just happy about this pregnancy, without fear. We only listened for about 20 seconds because I don't want to heat up the little one, but it was so calming.
Livvy, have you tried with a full bladder? I think it helped me.

Thank you! It's pretty cool as far as jobs go Really intense and stressful at times but fun.

Getting through a cold while pregnant is miserable. My worst symptom is congestion and almost all of the medications that help with congestion are on the no-no list.

Benadryl is safe and can help with congestion it drys out my sinus and gets rid of it . I only take 25 mg

I had bronchitis when I first found out I was pregnant. Awful! Hope you feel better!

I am exhausted! Like this is ridiculous exhausted. I have 3 other kids to take care of and I have 0 energy! At lunch I was barely able to keep my eyes open! I'm getting enough sleep! I used to walk every morning but I just cant get up to do it! I know pregnancy is exhausting....but I feel this is just too extreme!

It's really hard being miserable and not being able to take much medication! Its summer here and I get hayfever it's awful normally I stock up on antihistamines but I cant this summer

Well I know why I was so tired yesterday. I'm sick. The tummy bug has been going around the house and I have it....on top of normal pregnancy nausea. I was up all night throwing up. Still sick and so weak. Trying to keep down fluids. I work Wednesday nights but since I'm sick with zero sleep last night I had to call in, I hate calling in sick for work! Love having my doppler though, I can make sure baby is still doing well!

I know a big part of it is probably because it's my first time around but does anyone else deal with a crazy amount of anxiety? 2 weeks still until my ultrasound and I don't know how I'll make it. I just want to know everything's okay

You are not alone! I think it's very normal and common but no one talks about it because normally people don't tell about their pregnancy so soon. It gets better with time, but I still worry a lot.

We got to see baby today! Heart beat is 179 I think that was the same heart beat as my little boy. I know it will change but I'm so impatient this go round to find out the gender. I feel sicker this time. I think. Lol we meet with the midwife tomorrow so that's alittle different than what we're use to.

I hate hearing that some of you are sick! It's the worst bc you really have to ride it out. Men have NO IDEA what we go through.
I definitely have anxiety. Normally once I see the heartbeat it calms down alittle.

Nima thank you. Boyfriend's dad and stepmom know and are excited, but my family doesn't yet. I'm pretty sure they'll have an initial less than great reaction and I'll get some lecturing since we're not married and this is unplanned, but they'll come around. We're trying to hold off until after the ultrasound in the hopes that being able to tell them we're already getting things taken care of and all is well might lessen the initial reaction. But that just adds more onto my anxiety while I wait.

Boognishrises It's great you got to see the baby! I'll be all sorts of anxious until I see the heartbeat. 2 weeks from today. It feels like soooo long

Thanks girls! On thanks giving my husband slipped up in front of my mom and said I was eating for three. (My lo, myself and new baby) I said "three?! Don't you mean me and August?" My mom was like what?! Husband saved it by saying, I meant you and each boob. She might shit her pants on Christmas when we tell everyone.

I took a test today and freaked myself out so I went and bought a pack of frers to test out the hook effect cannot believe I already have the hook effect at 5w4d maybe there is 2 babies in there !

Does that mean like dye stealer? I'm not gonna lie. I felt like for a minute we were gonna have twins. But we only saw one in there! I can't believe it. It took us years to get pregnant with our first. And this was our first real try after I got my cycle back! I'm still in awe!
To announce I want everyone to get in a group picture on xmas and I'm gonna snap a few pics, then im gonna set my camera to video mode and say something like "make a silly face! Now look at eachother! Now say "we're expecting!"
I always say the first two things when we take group pics so it should be a good surprise hoping it goes that way! I dunno!

Nima that is so exciting!! yes I have tried with a full bladder! I don’t know if/ when I’ll try anymore. I have another ultrasound at 13 weeks on Dec 23.

Proserpina, I also have a cold and I was just thinking this. Unless I get a fever and need antibiotics there’s no point in going to the doctor. But I sure do feel super crappy.

I’m exhausted too Heather. This week we were watching my friend’s daughter so I had 4 kids 4 and other in my house. I’ve been taking naps but I still feel soooo tired. Plus I’m sick so that doesn’t help either. Just saw your update that you’re sick too! So so sorry!! Hope you recover quickly! Throwing up is the worst.

Yay boog! Can’t wait till you find out gender too! Also that story is hilarious haha. And what a cute idea to announce!!

Pray for me ladies. I think I’m out. I was supposed to have my 6 week drs appt today with a sneak peak ultrasound. Yesterday the called to confirm my appointment then about three hours later they called saying they needed to cancel and reschedule for two weeks from now. I was devastated because I was looking forward to seeing baby. The doctor did say she wanted me to get another hCG test done which I ran over to the lab to get it done last night. My numbers were only 2048. My numbers last Monday was 1432. I called the doctor on call last night and he said to call my doctor in the morning and come in today to verify everything. My heart is shattered. After losing my baby boy in April, a CP last cycle and losing my little bean now, 2019 just needs to be over.
