but its not enough proof for the police so who are we to judge?? and whos to sa the police havent planted something so the dog forund what they wanted them to find so to speak as we all know just how courrpt some police abroad are and how they are happy to just arrest and close a case. proved by that young boy who was sentecned to life for a fight he didnt commint just cos he looked like the person even though he spoke a differnt language and was spotted some where else

dogs can get it wrong not talking about them but sniffer dogs can ive been out in clubs ( its standered practice here that thats what they do every night)where theyve brought them in for spot checks and they have miss smelt chemicals for other substances

The fact there isn't enough proof is why the McCanns haven't been charged. You talk about cases where innocent people have been charged etc but you seem to ignore the cases where guilty people walk free because there wasn't 'enough' evidence! Just because there isn't enough evidence to legally charge them does not mean they aren't guilty (of something)

There is NO evidence to support an abduction other than a changing story of neglectful 'parents' and 'friends' yet that is the story constantly portrayed in the media.

It's not a case of us trying to 'convince' you or you 'buying it' - the concrete evidence may not be there but what's your explanation for the McCanns outright lies? If they have NOTHING to hide why would their stories change so dramatically? Talk about police corruption all you like but for me, the McCanns themselves and their friends are the ones whose tales raise the biggest plans. If they all learned to shut up this thread would be a whole lot shorter!

The things that point most clearly to foul play are ignored because they're not concrete 'DNA' evidence or the like. They are changing stories, outright lies, refusals to co-operate, refusals to follow up leads......need I go on? To some people that isn't enough because it isn't 100% concrete evidence but there comes a point when common sense takes over. Maybe not legally, but still. If my daughter was missing, I would want EVERY sighting followed up on. They didn't.

People who are telling the truth have no reason to lie.

Soph, those police dogs were bought over from the UK for one. Secondly, you honestly think they planted dead body smell..?

Also a dog trained the sniff for drugs and one trained to smell for the presence of dead bodies are completely different. These dogs are highly trained. There are differentiating smells when it comes to drugs - all different kinds of additives and potentness. A dead body smell is a dead body smell. Body fluid is body fluid.

i dont think the truth will come out for along time and when it does it will be because;

1, they have found a body dead/alive
2, a dying confession from a parent if they where involed
3, the police pull their fingers out, and really put the macanns and the evidence ect though the paces hardcore style

Sadly I don't think 3 will ever happen because, short of a body turning up, any evidence that would have proved anything will be long gone. What does exist isn't enough to prove guilt.

I guess we have to 'hope' for #1 but I can't see that happening. It is like she disappeared

A few pages back I said about the Omar bombings and how they walked tree guilty inknow 1st hand people injave felt with have walked of free from massive cases over 80 years worth of sentence due to one mistake in the case so I do know that guilty people get out

I think if you read other propels cases and cases study's you would see how many peoples pattern if events change

We once delay with a lady who gave a statement saying the man who robbed her was black when cameras showed he was White it wasn't for weeks later that she remembered he was White and she was the victim she didn't even remember saying he was black she was so suck up who's to say they weren't and years have passed I'd be more worried if they said things that matched word for word as that shows a learnt behaviour

A learned behaviour? I don't think so. Not when it comes to your child. There have been so many different stories I wouldn't put it down to just "not remembering".
