Im reading and only on page 57... this might've been said already. .

But if my friend came up to me and told me she'd left her three children at home to come out for a meal, no matter if it was down the road or whatever, I would be really really alarmed. On holiday or not.

Not sure if this has been asked.
But I read in one of the links that the children cried for an hour, alone, the night before the 'disappearance'. So.. does that mean they weren't checking the children?
Is there proof that they were leaving every 5/10mins to check them the next night?
Why did Jane leave to check them when Gerry was already away doing it?

I also wondered, if there's cctv of them arriving at the tapas restuarant (I saw on the documentry someone posted) then wouldn't there be cctv of them leaving to check on the kids?

The more I think about it, the more I think that whole evening was a set up/staged.

Have you ever actually known anyone to say anything along the lines of 'That's alright, I'd do that too, that's not bad parenting'??

I have only ever heard people say negative things about it, ok some people feel sympathy etc for the Mccans and have said they made a mistake, but I've never seen/heard anyone say that what they did that evening 'was ok, it's what parents do when on their hols' etc.

So, I'm thinking if it seems most, if not all people think to do what they supposedly did that evening was wrong (ie leaving the children alone) - surely they knew it was wrong too, BUT had to stage that evening in order to (hate saying this) hide the body & start the story of an abduction.

Does that make sense?

You know leaving your kids home alone is bad, everyone KNOWS that , they would have known that, but they had to stage that evening and they are now playing dumb saying it's only like dining in your back garden, we didn't think any harm would be done etc???

Indeed. This is a quote from one of the 'Tapas 7' regarding her ONE YEAR OLD daughter:

She was asked about the sleeping arrangements for her & her one year old, so she = her daughter.

“She, yeah because erm, we didn’t, we don’t really like sleeping in the same room as her but there wasn’t really nowhere else to put her cos you know, obviously she was going to bed at seven thirty and then we’d have had to kind of hide in the bathroom or something for the rest of the night, so we put, yeah she slept in our room as well erm”.

“Yeah. So basically we’d go and have dinner and then we’d sort of run back you know every fifteen twenty minutes and have a listen at the door and make sure nobody’s screaming their head off”.

“Erm well we’d go into the room, which ordinarily we wouldn’t do to be honest, erm but she seemed to have diarrhoea and kind of, I mean she’d settled quite well actually cos she’d been tired every evening, erm but every morning when she woke up, she had diarrhoea and it had gone right through her grow bag and so there’s all of this sort of horrendous smell, so in the evenings when we were checking, we’d go into the room just to see if you know, there was any sort of smell yet, erm and just to make sure she was alright, to make sure she hadn’t been sick, partly I think cos Matt had been sick, just wanted to make sure that she hadn’t been, in case it was some sort of bug”.

I personally don't believe they were checking the children that often (if at all) and is one of the reasons they sat and wrote out a time line before calling the police.
They had ALL left their children unattended and none of them wanted to be accused of abandoning them

Knowing your child has diarrhea bad enough to leak through the grobag and they are having a big jolly in the hotel restaurant ang go back to check for smell. So not only do they leave and neglect their baby they also leave her to sleep soaked in her own shit

Ok il probs be shot down for this but this is what I honestly think happened.

-the kids had been playing up, and as parents wanting to go out and have a good time they wanted to calm them down.
-As GPs they knew sedatives would work and no child would wake up. But they fucked up the dose on maddy.
-When drowsy she fell and knocked her head. The mcanns didn't know what else to do!
-So they tool her body(explaining blood in their car) tied something heavy tiger feet and buried her at sea.


The mcanns were the last to see her alive as they checked up on then(why else leave at the same time?!) there was no sign of forced entry and none of the other children were touched.
They refused to get the twins tested(why?! If it were my child who's been missing would HAPPILY let then test my other children, my friends children myself etc to find out what had happened
They then used money from the foundationto pay FoR ThEIR MORTGAGE!!!!!!
No! I would be using that to find my god damn child!

So yes my thoughts feel free to disagree just my opinion

Only 13% of the McCanns’ Find Madeleine Fund has been spent on
searching for Madeleine. The Fund is a private company, not a charity.
Much of it has been used on the McCanns’ legal expenses.
