Leaving here for a while... Final Outcome on Page 12

Someone recently told me that everything happens for a reason, even if that reason is so you can offer words of support and comfort. I'm praying that my reason is to share with others not to be so quick to diagnose a miscarriage.

Thinking of you and wishing you the best of luck for Friday!

I have heard of people (on this site) that got told the doctor couldn't see anything and it probably wasn't viable to go back weeks later and the baby was exactly the size it should be. I hope this is the case for you.

Think positively x

Thinking of you and your LO - hope this pregnancy is ok and the doctor was wrong!

Lemondrop, hang in there! Something isn't quite right and it just may be that you can't see it all just yet. 32K seems very high. I'm praying for you! Keep us informed.

thanks all! i had soooo much morning sickness today. it's so annoying to feel so nauseous when you've been told that you're not actually pregnant. question though, would this be considered more of a MMC because of the fact that i've had no symptoms of a miscarriage. i mean, if i had never signed up for that early ultrasound... i never would have had any reason to get one until my 12 week scan.

Please go get another scan because I really think you are still pregnant...They did this to my sister-in-law and she was very upset for a whole month then the next month still no bleeding, so she took another test and went to doctor he immediately gave her a scan and she never had a mmc like she was told...She was almost 9 weeks pregnant and now has a healthy little girl!!!

i have an ultrasound scheduled for friday. my midwife won't say what she thinks either way (probably because she's so nervous about opening her mouth after sending me home in tears last week).

Do they let you see the screen...I know at my OB's office we get to see the screen in front of us...and I think you will know if you see it and wont need her opinion, bc you will know if the baby is there or not

Just read through this and I am really hoping and praying for you! I hope you have a little bean in there with a heart beat beating away! I have a retroverted uterus and it makes it so hard for them to see anything. I hope to hear some good news in the next couple days I will follow this thread

yes, but i'm not going to look. after seeing two empty ultrasounds i think i'm done with looking at depressing images for a while... if there's a baby there they can tell me and i'll open my eyes.

I really honestly don't think you're having an MMC or a MC or anything like that. I think they just didn't see anything, maybe because of a tilted uterus or because it wasn't far enough along.. I think you will be fine sweetie, I really do!

Good luck lemondrops!!

I am in a similar situation (gest sac, yolk sac, tilted uterus, measuring smaller than my dates with high hcg) but the radiologist and my doc said nothing about miscarriage and just wants me to follow up in 2 weeks.

Just stay positive for this period of time. Hope for the best, be prepared for the worst, but remember ultrasounds and doctors/midwives are not 100% correct all the time.

You're not as far along as I am. I am somewhere between 8-9 weeks and still showing a gest sac and yolk sac and nothing else. Until my high hcg levels came back she told me that I was definitely having a miscarriage.

Hi Lemondrop, I just wanted to let you know not to give up hope until they do another ultrasound.

With one of my pregnancies I was told by the Ob that I was miscarrying when he did the ultrasound at 7 weeks, and couldn't find a heartbeat. He said I would have to have a D&C. As it was the Xmas New Year period the hospitals were booked out, so he told me to come back in a week & he would do another ultrasound & book me in.

I was so sick over New Years & leading up to my appointment, that my DH said I bet you are still pregnant. Well when I went back to the Ob, he nearly fell off his chair when he saw a heartbeat. That little heartbeat is now 4 years old.

Your HCG levels are quite high, so let's hope it all works out ok and this is another one they got wrong.

Did you have an on-the-belly ultrasound or transvaginal? With a retroverted uterus the transvaginal would make it so much easier to see anything. With an external they might not be able to see far enough back to catch the baby there.

I'm keeping my hopes up for you :)
