--Lion Cubs - Mummy and Baby Group!-- We are all One Year Old!

hey ladies... I am back and MARRIED. and Adam is all baptised. :D

It all went beautifully... have a FEW pics. I didn't take a single picture myself, kinda wish I had, we'll get proper pics from the photographer in due course... in the meantime, I have snagged a few from facebook, from my mother in law (!!!!!) and new sisters in law...

Adam was SO GOOD. he was just great. being passed round like a parcel can't be a lot of fun but he put on a brilliant show. it was so lovely to see my friends and family, but I felt a little thinly spread - like there wasn't enough of me (and enough time) to go round. also, tiring being ON all day. but fun as well. I enjoyed it a lot :D

dress was great, bra kept me firmly in place. wrap was cosy and pretty. hair was shiny and nice... skin flared a bit but make-up toned it down to ok levels... flower turned out fine even though we bought them from Marks & Spencer the day before and arranged them ourselves... bridesmaids were great (Dawn's friend was a godsend, she was lovely), kids were all very good (though my 2.5 yr old niece freaked out when it came to walk down the aisle and had to be carried by my sil) and our taxi didn't turn up to collect us after the ceremony (but neither did the taxi coming for one of our best family friends and her husband and so we shared one and it was actually lovely to spend a bit of time with them). food was nice I think but I hardly had any of it... speeches went well (C managed to cobble something together, my dad's was very touching)... and it all went so so so quickly. everyone who was expected turned up. everyone said they had a great time. everyone LOVED the vicar... it was perfect.

so...

oh, and congratulations Boothh! brave girl...

aww you look GORGEOUS in those pictures! and so does AE, is that gown really 100years old lol? i love stuff like that we dont have anything passed down in our family x

thanks Boothh :D and yes, it's at least 100 years old. My grandad (mum's dad) wore it in 1914 and he was the youngest of his siblings, the eldest was born in 1905 and I am pretty sure she wore it, as it became the family tradition that all babies descended from them were baptised in it. so my mum and her brother and cousins and their kids, my brother and his kids and me and now Adam as well all wore it. there is an official family custodian of the dress (one of my mum's cousins) but really it just gets passed around and stays with whoever had it last till the next baby comes along. I think my mum will hang onto it since I am fairly sure my brother's baby, due in June, will be next, unless another baby who was born in Nov is going to use it before. I was really nervous it wouldn't fit Adam as he's 7 months old now and most of the babies are about 3 months when they're christened. I was 3 and a half months old when I wore it. but it was ok, it was only the sleeves that were tight so my mum opened the seams and tacked some ribbon on to tie them. she'll fix it back to normal once she gets it home. :D

Mrs MJ - congrats, gorgeous photos and Adam looks such a cherub :flower:

So pleased the gown fitted him!

AFU - I'm tired! G has a cold and had me up sooo many times last night :( other than that we are having a lovely very lazy mother's day - I had my mum & dad here until late morning (they came down friday night) :)
Hubby wanted a roast chicken dinner - we compromised on roast chicken & oven chips!

MJ your gorgeous hun! I love the last one of you smiling. Happy bride. :D Adam is soo adorable in his gown too. That's an amazing tradition!

Boothh- Are you gonna have a pregnancy journal that I can stalk? :haha: We will all have to live vicariously through you! I think your very brave too. I don't think I could handle two under two. :D

i havnt decided yet i kept one in a notebook for jesse and i have started one already for this baby but i never end up keeping up with online ones! ill be sure to keep you all updated though haha, i am slightly worrying about 2 under 2 but jesse is so laid back im just hoping the new baby is the same! im going to find this pregnancy alot harder though with jesse and a house to contend with! last time i lived with my mum and didnt have a worry in the world except for cooking jesse! xx

MJ- thanks for sharing the pictures with us! You look wonderful in your dress- and Adam is such a well behaved handsome boy! To tolerate being passed around is very impressive!

Boothh- congrats!!!! I agree- you are very brave!! Did you have morning sickness last pregnancy? Are you due in December? How neat having 2 close together!

We're doing daylight savings time this weekend- I hate changing the clocks even more now since I've got to convince Kira to lose an hour too!

i had morning sickness from about 8 or 9 weeks with jesse, but this time i feel really nauseous already! i have for a couple of days! iv worked out a rough due date from when i think i ovulated and that is 20th november, but it will probably change by a few days! xx

MJ you look bloody gorgeous, congratulations again hon and can't wait to see you in a couple of weeks to say it in person. Talking of which I must book the table.......... :happydance:

I did only intend reading tonight as I'm wrecked but I just wanted to say Huge Congrats Booth on your pregnancy and MJ on your wedding Adams christening. :wohoo::wohoo::wohoo: - Im so happy for you both.

Also not sure if it is the same in all countries but it is mothers day here in Ireland so if it is the same - I hope you all had a lovely day. I got a lovely lie in this morning and got up to a cooked breakfast and all the housework done and we went out for dinner this evening as it was also my brothers 21st so I had a great day. Hope you all did too.

:hugs: to all - and a very happy mothers day. Xx

hiya girls happy late mouthers daY i hope you all had a good day.

He tryed to eat my lille the outherday and tryed to eat the dog then my cards yesterday. I just know he is gunna be 1 of thows kids that dont stop or shut up lol

Congrats Mrs mj you look lovely

Lovely piccies! Must get Mog christened or she's not going to fit in our family gown (which isn't a hundred years old, but is over thirty years old!). You look beautiful, I love the lace on your frock :)

Boothh- I hope the morning sickness doesn't get any worse! I had my MS very early with Kira, so maybe this one will be a girl :haha:

I've mentioned my annoying MIL briefly on here... but I have some great news I would like to share. My MIL is very dramatic and loves to fight, and I am the complete opposite... so I told her about a month ago to cut out the drama and everything is all about Kira now, so act like a good grandma and focus all your enrgy on loving your only grandbaby. Well... the relationship between me, DH and MIL has been so good recently, and today MIL actually said "I am focusing my life on being a Grandma now" so... she actually listened!! :haha:

Kira also saw her 1st goat at the park yesterday and laughed at it :haha:

i have a feeling its a girl this time spidey! i had a feeling jesse ws a boy so we will see if im right! today iv almost thrown up twice! once when changing jesses nappie when he had poo'ed and once again when feeding him his lunch cus it didnt smell too nice!

we have changed jesse routine and he is once again sleeping through the night but around 8/9pm til 8am now but its still great ! he sometimes wakes about 5for a couple oz of milk but then its straight back to sleep!

his routine is now as follows

8am - wake up and morning bottle (8oz)
9am - heinz fruity custard or a hipp organic fruit pot for breakfast
11am normally about 4/5oz of juice and a biscuit or something finger food,
12.30pm - stage 1 or most of a stage 2 jar (we are generally giving him one stage 2 meal a day ) and a yoghurt or dessert,
1pm - 6/7oz of juice and nap time til about 3pm
5pm - same as lunch, he also has bits of whatever we are eating, chicken/garlic bread/ veg etc,
7pm bathtime
8pm, rusk or porridge and 8oz of bedtime milk and off to bed,

i think the BLW was probably making him a little hungry as he was used to 3meals a day, now he had a BLW type meal a couple of times a week and he always has finger foods throughout the day, if we go out to eat we will do a blw style meal time and just give him things off our plate which he enjoys, its nice to eat out and be able to relax and enjoy my food without having to be spoonfeeding jesse too he can just sit in the highchair and be involved in the meal which is nice, he does like his babyjars now though and he is graudally starting to accept more savoury flavours which is again good, i quite often load the spoon and let him feed himself which he enjoys but if he is tired he likes mummy to do it,

i hope everyone is okay, im going to go have a nap now while hes sleeping because im shattered today! xx

Boothh- oooh.. I never thought about changing diapers with morning sickness! eeek!

This is our current schedule.. Kira still takes 3 naps!

8am wake up, get dressed
9am-10am nap; #1
10am play time
12pm-1pm nap #2
1pm-3pm watch mommy prepare dinner, go outside on nice days
3pm-5pm nap #3
5pm play with Daddy
5:30pm eat dinner (real foods!)
6pm-8pm play with Daddy
8pm bath then bed!

She eats booby milk every 2 hours or so, and some days she'll have lunch with me too... but for now we just eat real foods for dinner. She's not taking too much in yet, so I don't feel the need to feed her more than 1 meal/ day.

hiya girls i have 2 ill boys rueben came down with Gastroenteritis on sat night and has been being sick ever sins and lucas came down with it yesterday so i was being sicked over yesterday by bubs rueben isnt to bad now he has ate some brekky and lucas has just had 3 oz so hoping he holds it down i do not want to get it thow.

Gosh you all have routines - that would be a breakthrough in my household!!

Booth are you going to find out whether you are having a boy or a girl or just wait it out? I hope your mornign sickness doesn't last long - all very exciting though :hugs:

TMR - so sorry that everyone has been ill, I do hope that everyone gets well soon :hugs:

As for us well, firstly I would like to say a HUGE thankyou to MJ for inspiring me to give up chocolate, Ihave at last beaten the 10stone barrier! Ok so I am 9stone 13 and 3/4lbs (thank god for scales that measure 1/4 lbs!) I have been having under 10 stone as a goal for SO long now that I am well chuffed to have finally got there! SO my next goal is 9stone 9lbs (pre preg weight) by April 10th when Iam going out to celebrate my 30th birthday. I hope I get there I don't wanna feel like a porker and old :haha: Although i was a bit porky before I got pregnant anyway!

Sophia has gone back to sleeping through for the last 3 nights whcih is lovely, however she has taken to starting her day at 6am, still beggars can't be choosers! She also seems to be eating quite a bit now, I mean there is still loads of mess, but she is definitely spitting less food out :happydance:

Anyway I hope you ahev all been enjoying the lovely weather :hugs:

Hey girls! I haven't been on here in a while. Still with the inlaws of course so the internet is [-o< trying to get it to load anything good. I basically get on just to email DH and that is it now.

Emma has officially been a brat the past few days. :haha: She is just in to EVERYTHING. And if you take something away she cries and I have to pick her up and cuddle to get her to calm down. She's also been quite drooly so I'm wondering if there are some teeth lurking in there that want to come through. Because so far she has none. She has been packing it away when eating too. She hasn't really dropped any breastfeeds yet but I enjoy feeding her so it's not really a big deal. I have no real routine with her besides bedtime and lunchtime. We have breakfast and dinner at random times usually. But it works well for us when I am usually out and about anyways.

I'm glad to see you all doing well! :hugs:

shiv - i think im going to find out yeah, we found out with jesse, and we are pretty skint so id rather know just so i can buy things in advance, we said if we have a gilr this time any other babies we have can be a surprise cus we will be covered from both sides in terms of baby things :)

iv been pondering travelling with 2 babies, i really do not want a double pram, so iv sort of settled on buying jesse a new buggie, then using his big pram for the new baby if me and stuart are out together, then at first if i go out on my own ill use a baby carrier for the new baby and push jesse in the pram, and when the new baby gets abit bigger and jesse gets better at walking we can swap over and the baby can go in the pram and jesse can stand on the toddler board, i know its a stupid thing to think about but its been bothering me, so you ladies that used/use the babycarriers will have to recomend some to me :D

jesse has got better and better at standing up now he holds the sofa and this morning he let go and stood up completly unaided for about ten seconds, (then he realised what he was doing and of course toppled lol) its just so funny how suddenly hes decided he can stand and he wants to do it at every oppertunity, hes also found a new way of communicating with us now, hes started throwing tantrums when he doesnt get his own way and i mean real screams and hitting his fists on the floor tantrums! if he wants my attention now he will look at me and do a sort of shout wailing noise and repeat it over and over until i turn and talk to him, then he does a little grin like hes proud of himself cus hes learnt how to get mummys attention with noises! haha,
xx

Boothh I use a maitei which ties on but if I manage to get pregnant quickly I'm gonna get a connecta which is very similar but has simple clips.

Will post a link when I'm on the computer not phone
