--Lion Cubs - Mummy and Baby Group!-- We are all One Year Old!

Kira never fit in newborn sizes but thats all we had packed for the hospital so for a short time she was crammed into a sleeper that couldn't zip up all the way :haha: A couple hours after she was born she had to go to the
NICU so she was in a diaper only and then donated clothes.

Baby sizes must be different between the UK and US because I know Kira isn't a huge freak baby with her 18 month clothes :haha: She wears several different brands too and she's 12 or 18 months in them all. For diapers she wears size 3- not sue if UK sizes their diapers like they do here.

AE- Kira has a lump like that behind one nipple. Her doctor felt it and said its perfectly normal. She's had it for several months now.

So all that yapping I did "Kira has no teeth... and no signs of them" well... she has her 1st tooth now! DH noticed it this morning when he stuck his finger in her mouth for her to chew on.

yaay for teeth,
i think sizes everywere must be ridiculous actually cus yesterday i went to see my friend who is due in 2 weeks, and her family had sent her some baby clothes over from canada, all in 0-3 and 3-6 and i swear they would be too big for jesse! they were absolutly huge i could probably of got in the vests myself lmao xx

Yay for teeth!! Emma still has none. I wish she'd just pop them through without us knowing at first like that. Sounds like Kira didn't even fuss right?! That'd be nice! And Kira is SO cute. I love her huge smile:D

I think Emma's six month clothes say 12.5-16.5 pounds. She only wears Carters brand so it's helpful when it comes to packing away clothes because nothing is different in sizing.

Cleckner- I hope Emma gets her teeth without any fuss too! I don't think we would have realized there was a tooth in there if DH wasn't always letting her chew on his fingers. Since she's been drooling and gnawing on things since 3 months old, it feels long overdue for a tooth :haha:

I know this is super late but spidey, happy mother's day! I'm not sure if anyone else is american on our thread so I'm singling you out. :haha: Hope you had a good one!

We spent all day at the San Diego Zoo. It was Emma's first trip to a zoo and my first mother's day so it was quite fun! :D And the zoo really is amazing. I've always heard how great the san diego zoo is compared to other zoos. I'm a huge animal person so I just LOVE going to zoos all the time. We got year memberships even! So we can go all year now.

aww didnt know it was mothersday for you too :) happy late mothers day!

ours is earlier in the year :)

jess has started crawling using his hands and feet, like with his bum stuck in the air, does any of the babies do this? he seems to like making things difficult for himself lol,

and someone please tell me im not the only one who is planning birthday partys already lol, :p x

Boothh- Emma does this when crawling on cold flooring like laminate floors or linoleum. She refuses to crawl on her hands and knees on hard surfaces like that. It's HILARIOUS watching her go from the bedroom to the bathroom because she is crawling normally and than suddenly she awkwardly picks up her knees and tries to crawl with her feet. She wobbles all over but gets the job done.

well jess has been to the doctors this afternoon, he has had a cough for a couple of days and has now started coughing up alot of phlegm (yum)
he apparantly has a mild dose of viral thracheitis, which is an infection of the upper respiratory system apparantly, the doc said they dont like to give medicine if unnecessary and cus its mild and he isnt acting unwell and has no temperature were just going to give it a few days and see if it starts to clear up, they said the cough can last a few weeks though and just to go back if he gets a temperature or becomes unwell, hopefully he'll be fine though, just hate hearing his little cough though, (and getting snotted on lol) xx

Happy Mothers day to you too Cleckner :happydance: Mine was great and very similar to yours. We went to a park that is actually a farm and visited all the animals. Kira had a great time looking at everything  We're going to raise 2 girls who love animals like their mommies!

Boothh, I hope Jesse is feeling better soon. Poor thing- coughing phlegm isn't fun.

Spidey that's awesome we had similar first mother's days! DH and I used to go to a farm in our old city and it was always so much fun petting the animals and visiting them. :D

Boothh Aww poor Jesse. Hope he gets better soon and it doesn't turn into anything serious. :hugs:

So my little late mover has started crawling - backwards. Please tell me I don't have some kind of freaky baby and someone else's LO did this too!

Mother's Day fun sounds lovely! I didn't get a card or a present :( Still a bit grumpy about that, although OH has now promised to get me a super-duper present after I give birth to our next (and last) baby!!!

aw, feel better soon, Jesse. Adam spent some time crawling on hands and feet - like an ape - when he was first crawling properly. he rarely does it now he's standing and cruising.

happy mothers' day to those who've just celebrated. ours was 2 days after the wedding (March 14th) and Adam got me a necklace. very sweet of him. :D

AuntyE, Adam crawled backwards a bit in the very beginnings, I believe it is very common. Good on Mog for getting moving! now comes the fun, when she gets faster and races to somewhere you don't want her to be... Adam can cross the room and get in between the fridge and the fridge door when I used to have loads of time. I have to whip stuff in and out really quickly.

Spidey, yay for a non-troublesome tooth! may they all be so easy, eh.

afu - Adam has been SO WHINY today, it is driving me a little bit insane and I am seriously thinking about cracking out the earphones. it's like the worst kind of squeaky door. lie a cry with his mouth shut. mmmm mmmm mmmm, or full on crying. It's grating on my last nerve. I wonder if he has a headache because he fell a few times today already (and has had a few falls the last few days); today he had a really hard, awkward fall and hit the side of his head on the highchair base thing. I was right there with cuddles, etc, but since then the whining has cranked right up. he's even whined through his meals. arrgghhh.

think I'll see if he will take a nap now. fx. I need a little bit of peace.

hiya ladys sorry i have been awol had a lot on as allways

Happy late 1st Mother's

spidey~ yay on 1st tooth lucas has 6 now 4 top 2 bottem

Boothh~ I hope Jesse is feeling better soon

AE~ yay on the crawling a lot of babys go back be for 4wd rueben did for ages then when he went 4wd he started walking a few weeks later.

MJ~ Lucas had a day last week where he woke up whiny and he stayed like that ALL day i really feel for you by the end of the day i wanted to run away and hide.

A.F.U
Not much happening he is still not crawling and not even trying to i put him on his knees and he just flopps back down he cant even get him self sitting from lay down yet he must be a very lazy boy. But it really get me down reading that babys his age are mills ahead i just want him to get going. On a nouther note he is saying hiya to every 1 that he sees and if you blowe rassberrys he will start and be in fits of giggles.

Hi to any 1 i have missed

aww jess says hiya to everyone aswell, think its cus its the first thing anyone says when they come in ol and he copies the noise, n hes always blowing rasberrys,

dont get down about him not crawling and stuff yet they are all different, they learn at different times in different ways, i bet theres loads of things he CAN do that some other babies cant do yet, jess isnt pulling himself up yet like alot of the babies and he isnt walking around furniture etc, dont worry xxx

TMR- If I were you I'd be thankful he isn't on the move yet. Emma drives me nuts sometimes. I can turn my head for a second and turn back and she has disappeared and I have to chase her down. I'm finding it really hard to get housework done! :dohh:

Well I'm on my own today because DH has duty. I really need to clean a bit but I think sitting on here sounds better.

No time for a big catch up - but hi to everyone

oh and great boobs in your new Avatar Cleck!

:rofl: Glad you like em' Shiv. :winkwink::kiss: I'll be sad when the milk disappears and they disappear with it. I was only an A before Emma. :haha:

AE- Kira scooted backwards for a few weeks before finally figuring out how to go forwards. She would get more and more upset as the thing she wanted would get farther and farther away!

MJ- I hope Adam is being less whiney now! I know exactly the whine you are describing. Sometimea outdoor time will help Kira un-whine since theres so much to look at.

Kira is crawling a few more feet at a time now... soon she will be an expert crawler. Its neat seeing what objects grab her interest since she has the freedom to go anywhere she wants now. Of course she prefers all the dangerous things like power cords :dohh:

Cleck- lol about the boobies. I'm hoping to keep mine too!

spidey- Emma goes for bad things too. I guess these babies are just asking for danger! Emma's favorites include the entertainment center full of electronics, cable outlets with the little cable nub sticking out(she loves putting her mouth on the nubby thing:dohh:), and of course you can't forget the charger to my laptop. She is always trying to put the end of it in her mouth. I'm sure she's been shocked a few times because I tried it in my own mouth just to see and it shocked me.:rofl:

Ha! Adam is magnetically attacted to the power cord for my Macbook. I don't think it's a coincidence but right after he discovered it, it died. We got a new one and 3 days later it was dead, too. I went back to the Apple Store, with the second one (the new one) and they tried it, agreed it was dead, and gave me a new one. I am obsessive about keeping it away from him now, they're clearly safe enough because it wasn't HIM who short-circuited, but I can't afford to be buying more!
