--Lion Cubs - Mummy and Baby Group!-- We are all One Year Old!

I personally think she doesn't know her details anymore because over the years it's hard to remember what all your kids did and when. She never wrote any of it down.

so true!! My MIL told me when I was pregnant that DH was calling her by her first name (not Mommy) at 8 weeks while standing up at the playpen! LOL

Thankfully for me, MIL is not trying to get Kira to live up to that same standard :haha:

Print up a brochure from some reputable organization that shows the average age a baby walks and mail it to her with that part highlighted! Or just lie and say she's been walking for months now! If she lives far away she'll never know LOL

Wow- brave Jesse!! Does he sit down after his standing attempts or fall over? Kira pulls herself up but half the time will fall right over and bonk her head! I hope she learns soon as it stresses me out running behind her all day!!

Thanks everyone for the comments on Kira's pictures/ movie. Don't hate me Cleck for the skinny thing, LOL. I have a fast metabolism I think, plus bf and running after Kira all day helps.

Emma has fallen on hers when she first started trying it out! :dohh:  It's hard not to laugh when they are so clumsy.

Random but I'm letting Emma run around naked again today. We are up in Emma's room playing right now and I found a little patch of pee on the rug. Roxy is laying nearby so I pointed to it and asked if she did it. Even though I know it was Emma. Do you think I should rub Emma's nose in it like I did with Roxy when she was a pup?:rofl:

oo posted at the same time. :haha: I breasfeed too spidey and it didn't help me a bit! I only weigh 5 pounds less than when I went in to have Emma. I still look pregnant in some clothes. :dohh: It doesn't help I'm SOOO snacky when I'm breastfeeding. I just want to eat and eat some more. I've never had a fast metabolism though. I've had to work my ass off to even get down to a normal BMI and if I would skip exercise for even a few days I'd gain like 5 pounds back on. Now I'm not even close to a normal BMI. I gained over 20 just having a miscarriage and than with Emma I gained 45. So I'm carrying around over 60 pounds of extra weight.

naked play time sound like fun! How is Emma's diaper rash doing?

Kira can finish a boob in a minute so there isn't much snacking time for me :haha: Cleck- maybe you're one of those girls who keeps on weight while bf instead of taking it off.

Kira has turned into quite a wiggly girl at night. Any other co-sleeping babies doing this? She turns sideways several times and DH gets kicked in the face and she rolls all over and refuses to lay under the covers. So I'm thinking of getting a co-sleeper for the side of the bed or have DH make something. Unfortunately all the co-sleepers I see online are not meant for older babies.

Jesse will sometimes grab back onto what he was holding other times he will plonked onto his bum, the odd time he falls back and whacks his head but I never pay him attention when he does n he will just flip over n crawl off, I reeeally couldn't stand a whiney child, so I dot want him to think if he falls he's needs to cry n get attention, if he really hurts himself it's easier to tell if he doesn't whine at every bump!

I doubt jess will be walking anytime soon though he's great at cruising and he can use his walk behind toy pretty well I just can't see it, he much prefers to crawl, he only pulls up if he wants something out of his reach :)

It's just stupid tryna make you feel bad about her not walking!! For godsake why are we made to feel bad cus they don't develop like a textbook case!!

We can see just from in here they all do things at different rates and there's nothing wrong with any of the lion cubs development, I just keep reminding myself what the HV said..
'your baby hasn't read the textbooks, they do things when they are interested in doing them!!'

WHAT THE CRAP. I have mom brain totally forgot all about this. Thanks Sam for reminding me haha. I feel lost without my daily Lion Cub chats haha

And sam Emma will walk when she is ready hon, ignore the MIL. My nieces did not walk until 14 months!!!! I was a late walker as well. When Emma wants to walk, she will :)

Thanks Heidi! Easy for you to say though of course. :winkwink:

The thing of it is, I'm not bothered that she isn't walking yet. I mean she gets where she wants to go. I didn't even pay it any mind until she brought it up on the phone. :growlmad: It just makes me mad because THEY are thinking something is wrong with her. I didn't walk until 14 months either. :haha:

Bah @ in laws. There is NOTHING wrong with her. Like you said, she gets where she needs to go and thats all that matters. Ross' parents tell me Caylee is very fat and needs to go on a diet everytime they see her, it pisses me off

 Heidi - great to see you in here again!

Cleck, Emma is one of the most advanced babies I would say (no offence anyone else :flower:) so if she is "slow" I hate to think what that makes sophia :haha: In-laws don't seem to realise the impact their silly comments have!

Boothh - Jesse is very brave, he has come on leaps and bounds, it seems like only a couple of weeks ago he started to crawl and now he is standing!

Spidey, I can't see the video of Kira (I just get a load of weird text in the window?) :dohh:

Yaay heidi's back :)

shiv I know he just seems to be learning new things everyday, all the time with his development he doesn't do things until quite a few babies in here have already done it then he seems to have a few weeks of learning loads of stuff and then the other babies over take him again :p he's definatly one of the average babies in here I'd say, never really first or last, not that it would bother me though he does things when he feels like it!!

Jesse has another tooth btw his total is 5 now :) xx

Wow! Mog only has two teeth! She pulled herself up to standing on the armchair though and I squealed in excitement :) I think she is a late developer, but that's fine by me...although my childminder seems to take it personally ;)

Got back in touch with my hypnobirthing instructor as she's started to do pregnancy courses, and she sent me a long email explaining how she doesn't do any of the stuff that annoyed me anymore ;) for example, you weren't allowed to use the word 'contraction' or 'labour' or 'push' and the emphasis was totally on home birthing, preferably with pools. I was always going to go to hospital, so I felt a bit judged by this. But I loved the relaxation and I think it's one of the things which has made Mog such a calm and happy baby. So YAY!

I don't think she's a late developer! I think she does what they all do, only do new stuff when they feel like it, there's loads of babies that can't pull up yet!
My aunties nephew is 8days younger than Jesse, he can't even sit up yet and is still on stage 1foods cus he chokes on it, no where near pulling up or anything, x

Jesse has always been really laid back and easy going, I think he's like his dad, Stuart is so laid back he's lying down, annoying sometimes, Jesse rarely cries unless he's not well, or really overtired and he's really great tbh apart from his sleeping but otherwise he's soo great! I can't believe they are going to be 1 soon just how fast has this year gone!!

Jesse has 5 teeth already! WOW I they are super adorable. Caylee is just starting to get her third. Its all white gums but no tooth yet, didnt get her first till 8 1/2 months!

On a happy note, Caylee was walking around the living today and she stopped and started to take off her diaper (we have been having issues with that haha) and I said "Caylee Anne!" and she looked right at me and said "What" I was super excited and freaked out and she looked at me like I was crazy, so so far the words we have down are "Mom" "Dad" "Ama" "Poppa" "ByeBye" "Baba" "Got it" and "Ok" "No" and when she hugs or kisses you she saws "Awwwww" and "What!" I feel like I update her baby book daily with new fun things

Wow she's a great talker! Jess says nothing really random babbled, he does mana baba dada and just started to actually say daddeeee when he sees his dad which I would say was his first 'proper' word he says hiyerrr and waves when we say hello to people consistantly too but I'm thinking it's all coincidental, he always babbles at me but none of it makes sense I just talk back!
He understands me saying certain words but he doesn't say much,

he got his 1st tooth pretty much exactly the day he turned 8months and they've cone through pretty fast since then!

Mog only really says 'tickle' and burbles dadadada. But she sings along with us sometimes, which is super cute. My childminder is always telling me off because she's not walking, or she's not drinking from a sippee cup, or she doesn't eat enough solids, or I packed the wrong vests  She's lovely though and Imogen really likes her and she doesn't do it in a nasty way, just like my mum might (if she dared!).

Morning girls!

Man Emma says mama and dada and bye bye but that's about it. Mostly its mama though and it's when she's crying and crawling towards me or reaching up to me. :haha: She gives openmouthed kisses which is always cute and disgusting at the same time.

Boothh- Five teeth already!! Yay!!

Emma has 0. :haha: And it looked promising last week because she had a fever randomly at night and was grumpy during the day and all that. But still nothing. I didn't get a tooth until I was 11 months old so she must take after me. Poor girl because I had braces so she'll probably need them too.

AE- I also did hypnobirthing courses and Kira is a hypnobaby too

Shiv- I don't know how to post a video directly in here to bypass whatever weird link issue is going on... hmmm... I will see if I can figure that out after I post this :-)

Heidi- I am super impressed with Caylee's vocabulary! Thats so cool!!

Kira started something new which impresses me, although it sounds like everyone else's babies have already started mimicking. If I blow a raspberry, Kira will blow one back at me! Sooo cute. She doesn't wave, clap, say words (besides general babbling), blow kisses, etc... so this is a big deal :haha:

Caylee did not clap until a few weeks ago, haha. She wanted nothing to do with it...and thats great that she is starting to copy you! It's so funny at all the things are kids watch us do and then BAM they do it. I think I am amazed by everyones little one haha. I see you post something or pictures and I am in awe..I feel like its a milestone for all of us since we all got to experience everything around the same time. So I get very PROUD when one of the Lion Cub LO's do something haha

Heidi when you posted on facebook about caylee walking I was SOOO proud. And in awe because I just can't believe how young she's walking already! And I'm always so jealous of all her hair when you post pictures. Emma is such a baldy.
