--Lion Cubs - Mummy and Baby Group!-- We are all One Year Old!

Thanks Cleck :D I had a walker with resistence and it's what I thought I'd got when we got Adam's. oh well

And eek about the earthquake! That must have felt so weird if you're not used to them. Good that it wasn't a great big horrible one though.

AFU... I am an auntie again! my new niece was born this morning, in Oslo (so I won't be seeing her any time soon  ). She was 10 days before her due date, lucky for my SIL, and was born pretty quickly, I got a text about 9am from my mum to say her waters had broken, another at 10am to say she was getting examined, and then she was born at 10.35am. my other niece was born very quickly after her waters had broken, too, actually quicker, about 50 minutes (and she was not in any pain till the waters went, LUCKY) so I was expecting news sooner rather than later. :D

No name yet, I knew my brother and SIL were not coming to any agreement beforehand (they knew she was a girl).

:D Adam is not the baby on either side of the family now.

I haven't been around for a few days and there are so many new things happening on here!!!

First off- super CUTE videos of Emma and Adam!! I loved watching them! Emma is such a pro at balance and putting one foot infront of the other. You might have a walker on your hands earlier than you thought. And Adam is quite skilled at balance too! I am super impressed!! It was so cute at the end as he persistently went after the charger wire :haha: All the "talking" was adorable. He had so much to say!

I still sterilize Kira's bottles, but thats just out of habit now. I don't sterilize her pacifiers anymore- I just wash them with hot soapy water every so often. As far as diaper changes go... its like a wrestling match! I'm getting pretty good at putting diapers on when Kira is on the crawl :haha:

Over the last few days Kira started being really playful and flirty with DH. If I'm holding her, she glances over at DH and then quickly snaps her head back to me and squeals and wiggles. She'll do this over and over until DH gives her attention. He'll sneak up and tickle her- she loves it! Its really cute and DH is loving that Kira is playful with him. I'll have to try and capture it on video :-)

We also moved bathtime to the real bathtub rather than the sink. The splashing was getting too messy, and since Kira can sit up real well now, it seemed like a good time to put her in the big tub. She loves it too!

nutty, I upload to youtube direct from imovie on my macbook, there is an option to export it straight there. that 2-3 min clip prob took 10 mins or so to upload.

I use youtube as well. I tried it on photobucket but than clicking the link just takes you directly to my photobucket account which I have set to private so that sort of defeated the purpose. :haha:

Imogen is crawling forwards!! Like properly picking up her hands and knees and everything! So excited :)

Cute videos, I must get out my video camera and take some. Hmm. Wonder what that was that just went in Mog's mouth...

I think it's someone's bedtime, so I'm going to run, but I was so excited :)

Well done Imogen, the babies have been busy this week!

Sophia is now pulling up to standing on everything - she wants to cruise, but forgets to move her feet :dohh: and falls over!

Just uploading some videos, not of her doing anything clever though!https://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=F1byb196qhA

https://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=rMQ3TvMdidk

I hope you enjoy them! I should really get a video of her doing something more "interesting". I hope the upload worked!

shiv, I saw the vids on FB. :D they're great, Sophia is such a beautiful girl and looks like a little live wire :D

Shiv- sooo cute!!! I love how she laughs and has only her belly on the floor :haha:

aw thanks everyone :cloud9: she has the dirtiest, least ladylike laugh ever!

Phew!! I pissed off a whole load of people in baby club. I started a thread asking about those kid leash things and they all got angry for me calling them a leash when they are reins. But than I googled them and they aren't called reins here, they are called harnesses and leashes. :dohh:

:hugs: I was reading tht thread yesterday, but it hadn't got nasty then! I don't know why people get so easily offended really. reigns/leash - whatever, they are a way of restraining your child whichever way you call it!

The crazy thing is, I thought most people would be AGAINST them on here because a ton of people on here are more natural with the babywearing, etc. I think it must be a cultural thing because I rarely see kids with them here and when I do, it's usually parents that are abusing them a bit. :nope: I take it they are popular there?!

i just went and caught up with the thread - your come back posts are BRILLIANT - good for you!

When I initially saw the thread I too assumed most would be against them - I very rarely see anyone using them - in fact i don't think i have seen anyone using them since I had Sophia - but then I don't live in a busy place. I always said I wouldn't use them, but your thread has made me think about it a bit more. I think I will wait and see how Sophia behaves when she is walkign and we are out and about before I make a decision. I am hoping she will still use her buggy for a while after she is walking otherwise it'll take an age to get anywhere!

Yeah I am somewhat against them still but reading other girls point of views has made me look at them a bit differently. I'm glad I started the thread. I haven't seen a thread similar the entire time I've been on this forum so at least it's something new everyone can fight about.
