Hah, Boothh, you are very very organised compared to me! We were actually thinking of not getting Adam anything till after his birthday, so we know what he's been given and what I think is still missing. Though we did go to Bluewater yesterday and I bought him the grand total of 3 books and packet of 12 month+ Crayola felt tip pens! I am going to Hamleys tomorrow with a couple of friends and will have a good look then. I kind of need someone to go with because I get all confused in toy shops, I did go in ELC and John Lewis yesterday but didn't know where to start so I turned right back around.

Adam will be having his birthday party on his actual birthday, since it's the Sunday, so it's not like he won't have presents. C's mum is getting him a Fisher Price garage, I believe. Personally I'd like for people to give ££ and I'd put it towards his new car seat, but C refuses to tell his family that, so he's probably going to get a load of things we have no room for. My parents have given him ££ and I imagine my bro & sil will as well, since they live in Norway and have never sent actual presents.

im only buying cus my friend has bought all her sons (1 day older than jesse) presents weeks ago and is all organised and i felt like i needed to get going haha, need to spread the cost abit too if im honest!!

I really want to get Adam a Wheely Bug but we have wooden floors and downstairs neighbours and I couldn't do that to them. When we move I am definitely getting one, unless Adam is too old by then (please god he isn't). Till then I'm going to get some sort of a ride-on thing that can be played with outside. It'll mean going up and down the communal front path or going to the park, though. I'd let him play with something for a short while inside but tbh, the way he is right now when something is taken away from him, I don't think I could do it. He is having really bad tantrums, many times a day, whenever something is taken from him or he is moved away from somewhere and he doesn't agree! Just today he had a screaming meltdown in M&S - it all started because I had a small piece of cheese for him to eat (along with some other bits for a snacky lunch), he had the cheese and then, oops, it was finished and he was not happy about the lack of more cheese and he let the whole of M&S and surrounding shops know about it. I had to go and buy a sandwich, egg mayo, which we shared, and he stuffed his half away happy as you please, then carried right on screaming. It was all so stressful he actually dropped his sippy cup somewhere and it got lost, so I've had to go out to Boots and buy a new one. Arrgghh!! He's SO sweet but then something upsets him and it's the END OF THE WORLD.

i feel tight compared to some of my friends and what theyve spent, but my house is too small and theres no room for millions more toys he doesnt play with! i really need to sort his 'baby' toys and sell them or store them! xx

We are having Caylees birthday at a park down the road. We have a lot of family members and my mom and dad split up when I was 2 and so his new wife hates my older sister and it's a mess, I refuse to have it in my little apartment which is why we picked the park, its a large open space and everyone can just mingle without being elbow to elbow haha

Aww!! All kinds of birthday talk!! I'm not having a huge party. I'm not near family so can't. I'm still doing a theme just because that's the way I am about things. I always do things over the top. I can't help myself. My parents are driving across country to be here and than it'll be DH and I! So that's just 4 people here plus Emma. I don't want to invite my playgroup because for me birthdays are more of an intimate thing. I never had a party when I was a kid. It was always just my parents and brother and I. And i really like it that way. Emma is really getting more than one birthday though because on her actual birthday we plan on going to the zoo and celebrating.

Everyone has such spoiled babies!! I already wrapped all of Emma's gifts and have them ready to go. I need to go pick up stuff for her cupcakes and whatever food we decide to make on that day but for the most part, we are ready.
