--Lion Cubs - Mummy and Baby Group!-- We are all One Year Old!

and Cleck dont think that always the horrible people get screwed over because honestly I would say that girl is deeply unhappy - you just know by her attitude - I always think people who have that much to say on other peoples lives usually dont have a lot going on in their own or else they are unhappy in their own.

I would defo not let this put you off making friends - as you would make a brillaint friend to anyone. xx

Thanks so much girls. :hugs: I feel much better this morning and I've officially deleted and blocked all the girls from the playgroup, not just the nasty one. They had their own playdate last night at the nasty girls house so I realize it'll just be awkward now no matter what I do. I deleted all the messages on my facebook because otherwise I'll probably keep looking back at it and getting upset over and over. I felt better just seeing it gone.

Last night Emma cuddled me before going to bed and she laid her head on me like I'm a pillow and that's when I realized I have an amazing baby and I'm doing nothing wrong by being an attachment parent.

Nutty- theres nothing wrong with the way your feeding Abbi. I really just don't think the whole finger food thing is for everyone. There are times Emma choked/gagged on food and I wanted to quit right than and there. But she really enjoys feeding herself and when I even try to feed her myself she just grabs the food out of my hand anyway. :haha: I had never even HEARD of BLW until joining this site. Before that I just assumed you spoon feed them in stages.

Good for you for deleting and blocking them. You do have an amazing baby and she is perfect. <3 Never let anyone try to tell you different.

cleck glad your feeling better and you deleted everything, :hugs: you and emma are so much better than that you really are xx

well jesse was in a&e this afternoon, blood tests, heart monitors and all sorts it was absolutly awful!! :(

from 2pm to 6pm he was sick 10times i mean proper absolutly everywhere sick was horrible!! the doctors couldnt figure out what was wrong, but he was put on high priority, he was given hydration stuff and he seems to have perked up a little now with paracetamol but oh my god it was the worst few hours of my life,
at one point he was just grey and not responding at all even when having needles stuck in his feet was just really bad, he has a temp still n not himself at all but they said everything they can do we can do at home so we brought him back on the promise if his temp got worse or he went floppy again we have to bring him straight back,
just so drained now it was horrible but hopefully he will be okay tomorrow xx

Gosh, I chose a bad time to pop in and say hi! Poorly babies and upset mummies! Not what I wanted to see.

Hope Jesse gets better soon, sounds very scary for you, but at least he won't remember it.

Oh no boothh!! :(:( I'll pray for you guys. Poor little man. :( I hope he feels better very soon!

well when we got home jesse seemed to perk up, but still obviously not well but he wasnt sick, we put him to bed no problem, about 11pm we heard this weird noise from his monitor went in his room and his cot was just covered in sick and he was just lying there crying, so needless to say we cleaned him up and he came in bed with us, temp was 38.3 they said bring him back if his temp goes above 38 but he was asleep when i took it and he does get hot in his sleep so i left him a while for the calpol to kick in,
its gone down to 37.9 so just under the limit, i sort of want to take him back anyway but im gunna wait,
hes thrown up 5times through the night we have no bedding left cus hes just thrown up without warning everywhere me and stuart are just angin at the moment, been awake all night and to top it off i feel sick now, i dont wanna catch it cus how can i look after him like that,

hes thrown up total of 16times in 19hours, that seems way too much to me, normally with a bug its like 3 or 4 times not that!
he cant even keep the hydration stuff down or calpol/nureofen or water! so what am i meant to do!!
he hasnt had a wet nappy since bout 5am so gunna give him another hour or 2 and if no wet nappy then were back off to the hosp! :/

Awwwww, Boothh (((((Jesse))))) poor little baby, how awful for him and you and Stuart. So scary when they are sick and can't even keep the rehydration stuff down. Sounds like going to the hospital is the best thing now. :hugs:

Cleck, I read that email and I was really shocked and I see why you were so upset, I would be, too. But they are a load of crap. And time will bear that out. The woman sounds so ignorant to other parenting methods, and it's a shame to be close-minded. Especially when we are all aiming to get to the same place, to have happy, healthy, well-adjusted children who don't have issues with food, sleep or relating to other people. It sounds like Emma is a happy, securely attached, healthy, bright, active and curious little girl and she is a credit to you. Just a shame you aren't in the UK, there's plenty of us here who think along the same lines as you!

Just an update were on childrens ward now n they going to keep him in for observation, they think it's a bad case of gastroentritis but with him not even keeping water down they might put a drip in, waiting for his bloods to come back now, sooo scarey though :( he's just so weak and pale, he's sleeping now though bless him xxx

 booth!!!!!!!! I am so sorry. Poor Jesse, it is never okay when someone that little or precious is that sick. It sounds just terrible, I hope they get everything fixed and start to make him feel better asap. I will be thinking of you all through out the day

Oh my, I haven't checked here in a couple days and I've missed so much!

Boothh- I'm sending good thoughts Jesse's way :hugs: I hope he starts feeling better soon and will be back home a healthy happy baby again. I also hope you don't catch it- I can't imagine taking care of our LO's being that ill. Keep us updated.

Cleckner- You have a lot to offer and don't waste it on a group of girls like that. I'm sure you'll find another play group with more like- minded people. Even from the start you felt a little like an outsider since they all were so down on BF. And the whole less educated comment is ridiculous. It's like saying someone has no morals because they choose not to go to church. Crazy! I have similar thoughts on circumcision. We didn't know Kira was going to be a girl so we went back and forth on whether or not to circumcise. But really, do boys in high school go around and compare penises? Most of the time if someone doesn't like you for silly reasons, it's actually because they are jealous of you. I'm sure she's just jealous that you are confident in your parenting and have such a sweet and advanced little girl!

Kira had her 1st play date yesterday and it went good. The other baby is 15 months old and it was really neat seeing how much development will happen between 11 and 15 months. There was very little physical interaction between them and no crying :-) I'm glad Kira didn't pinch the other girl :haha:

Gosh Boothh, poor Jesse and you and Stuart - that must be really scary. I hope he gets the allclear soon and can come home :hugs:

hi girls thanks everyone,

so after the nasty nurse force feeding him calpol when he was clealy distressed then he sicked on her (good boy) he got a suppository, and seemed to perkup slightly after he had a few hours sleep, still very whingey and irritated but hes managing to keep juice with hydration fluids aslong as its only 1 or 2 oz every 20minutes or so, anymore and its back up! he managed to keep his medicine down at 6.30 so we were allowed home, but we have direct access to the ward and instructions to go back if he goes back downhill, were to expect sick and tears though but if he starts chucking water up again then we gotta go back,
he seems a little better though but were just gunna see how he goes soo glad hes home though just feel better to be away from the scarey hospital! xx

Boothh- Oh my hun!! I just now got back on here to see all your updates. :(:( I'm so glad your back home again but I'm so sorry your going through this. Seeing them sick is just so scary. I hope he feels better soon. Get some rest yourself when you can hun. :hugs::hugs:

i just want to sleep but we have no clean bedding cus we had to change our sheets four times last night, :( so it all needs cleaning and drying before i can even think about it, had to take all the covers off the couch too cus they are just covered in sick the whole house stinks its angin! wont be gettin to bed til the early hours!! xx

Ah Booth honey :hugs: to you - I'm so sorry you, Stuart and poor little Jessie are going through this - the poor little thing - I really hope he is on the mend soon and I'm glad he is home at least and fingers crossed you wont need to go back. Not nice doing all that washing either. Tea tree Oil is meant to be really good for spraying around the house after a tummy bug has been in it to help get rid of any bugs still floating around. You put a few drops of the oil in some water in a spray bottle and spray it around - just a thought as it might help to stop you and Stuart getting it also. Thanks for the info on Disneyland Paris by the way I completely forgot to say it last time I was on.

Cleck: I'm so glad you are okay and have deleted everything from that horrible girl - I really hope you do find some like minded people in a playgroup as you would make an amazing friend.

Not much news from us - just enjoying spending time with Natasha and DH when he is off work - we had friends over last night and my family came over for a BBQ this afternoon and Natasha had a great time - playing with a ball on the grass with her uncles. They are all only 19 to 25 and it amazes me how much they love her to bits and play with her so much - I would have thought chaps at that age wouldn't have any interest in a small child unless it was their own but they really are great with her - they were all over the day we came back and had missed her loads. We also went into the shops yesterday and bought all the sweets for Natasha's party so that is another thing done.

well good news is hes not been sick through the night keeping his juice down, he didnt eat anything but 1 bite of toast that we coaxed him into yesterday,
this morning we offered him a crumpet normally his favourite breakfast that he eats no problem he just sat in his chair watchin tv didnt even look at it or touch it at all so still not himself, hes still whingey n clingy n normally hes so adventurous, his temp is still highish but not over 38 which is good x

Ah poor Jessie - he got such a dose he will probably be off his food and weak for a few days, sure you know yourself how much it takes it out of you when your sick and he is still so tiny. Thank god he is not getting sick anymore and hopefully that will continue.

I hope you got all your washing done and some rest Booth as you must have been exhausted both physically and mentally.

Just keep trying to get those rehydration fluids in him. He'll eat when he knows it will stay down. And the only thing that gets rid of the smell of vomit is biological washing powder. For carpets wash with bio washing powder/liquid then sprinkle with bicarbonate of soda. I keep a bottle of solution handy so I can spray stuff with it before washing. DS2 vomits during the night so I've had lots of experience of cleaning it up.

we have all laminate floors thank god just a rug which iv vanished and febreezed which seems to have got the smell out,
still got some of the sofa covers to wash and most clothes and blankets but we done all the bedding now which is main thing,
he dont even want to sit up let alone crawl atm he just wants to lie on mummy or daddy and sleep bless, he ate half a chocolate biscuit before though so least hes getting something down now, xx
