--Lion Cubs - Mummy and Baby Group!-- We are all One Year Old!

Glad he is getting better hon!! :hugs:

Caylee just started to get red hard bumps all over her body...praying to GOD it is not the chickenpox, but that is what it looks like.

if you knew someones that had chicken pox would you let your baby catch it to get it over with? cus thats the done thing round here, i dunno what id do though if it hapened to me,

Oh no Heidi - I hope its not. Could it be an allergy to something?

Booth: Some people do it over here too - really dont think I would - I would be hoping Natasha will never get them or if she has too, I think it would be better when she was older and understood more what was going on - when they are that small it is so hard to see them sick, mind you I dont think it is ever going to get easier seeing your own kids sick - even when they are all grown up.

I guess when I was a kid they had chicken pox parties trying to get all the babies and kids to get it when one child had it. :haha: I don't think I"ll try to get Emma to get it though. I'll just get her the immunization for it and hope that's enough. I mean if she gets it than fine but i"m not going to go out of my way rubbing her against sick kids trying to have her get it.

I am praying its not the pox, just because her birthday party is on Sunday and I would be very sad if she ended up getting the chickenpox :(

I got them twice when I was younger, I got them so bad that they were all over my eyelids and my eyes were swollen shut, my mom has pictures and I look like a leper!

If they keep showing up I will be taking her in, so we are crossing our fingers that they just stop, they don't seem to bother her, she is not scratching at them or anything, so.

Oh no Heidi! I didn't even think about it being her birthday coming up with them!! :(:( Fingers crossed for you guys that it's just some random rash instead of pox. :hugs::hugs:

Boothh- I'm glad Jesse is home and keeping things down. Poor baby must be worn out (and his mommy too!). I'm sure his tummy will need atleast a week to heal so he might be slow to get back to normal. Poor thing

Heidi- eek! I hope it's not chicken pox! When Kira is older if the opportunity to get chicken pox comes up, I might let her play with other infected kids. Getting the disease will give her life long immunity (in most cases) more so than a vaccine and since the vaccine is so new they really don't know how long someone will be protected from chicken pox. Getting chicken pox as an adult is pretty risky. But maybe I'll change my mind in a few years, LOL :-)

I ordered a bunch of decorations for Kira's party. She's having a Dora theme so I got a table cloth, plates, etc. I can't wait!!!

Aw how cute, we got a Dora tablecloth and plates as well. Caylee picked out all of her birthday decor, it was so cute.

I am taking her in tomorrow, we gave her a bath and the marks popped up x2. It looks terrible, with me being pregnant and already have had them, I do not think I am at risk, but it still worries me, my grandma got chickenpox when she was 7 months pregnant with my uncle and he got the virus while still in her belly and was born deaf. Kinda scary.

if they are chicken pox they will have a blister on them not just red lumps and if you have allready had them you and baby are fine rueben got them when i was preg with Lucas and coz i had them when i was a kid you cant pass them on to baby. I would let Lucas cach them why he is young as he would scrach them and leave makes as Rueben did and as got a few makes over his body with them but he wasnt ill with them they just didnt look very nice.

there are different strains of chicken pox and you cant get each strain more than once but you can have more than one strain, my sister had them twice,
i dunno i think once hes a toddler id take him n let him get them, cus its alot worse in adults, id rather get them out the way,
i didnt even know there was a vaccine for chicken pox?
heidi i hope it isnt that though not with her big day coming up!! xx

Yeah they have white blister on them now, it's gross looking. She has an appointment at 2:00 so we will see what they say. It looks just beyond funky and she is CRABBY

i only got them once, i always thought the saying was you only get them once!

aww poor lil caylee :hugs: i bet she isnt happy! im itchy just thinking about it! xx

I've only had them once too. I actually have a red spot on my hand from them. :dohh: It's just a little dot but it's from me digging at it. :haha:

So a girl on my facebook announced that she's had 2 miscarriages in the past 2 months. I'm so upset because I know theres only like a 2% chance that she's telling the truth. A little background with this girl, I knew her in Virginia. We hung out for a while and I remember her saying she miscarried than too and said she saw her baby in the toilet. First of all, it doesn't look like a baby in the early stages so that's just untrue. And really upsetting to someone that has actually been through it. :( And any person that has been through it also knows you wouldn't be announcing it to the world on facebook. So now she is getting all this sympathy from all the people on her page and she's saying how she doesn't think she'll be able to have kids and she said she's never had any of the miscarriages confirmed by a doctor but says she knows she had them. I really am holding back from tearing into her. Why would anyone lie about such a horrible thing? No one wants this to happen to them and she is using it like publicity to get attention.

On a happier note, my SIL gets her foster kids today. She's been trying to get foster kids for about a year now. (Does the UK do foster parenting?) She ended up getting an 8, 6, and 5 year old!! On top of her other 2 kids, she's going to have her hands full!! :haha:

ew what a bitch! theres a girl i know thats lied about mc and i think its horrible, especially when youve been through why would you pretend to lose a baby, that is just twisted IMO

and yaay for your SIL 3 though woah! my mum and dad did fostering from me being 1 til they split when i was 8, xxx

Heidi- any word on the possible chicken pox?

Cleckner- thats really sad that she's so desperate for attention that she lies about having miscarriages. It might be time to block her from fb. If you say anything you'll just look like the bad guy, but I'm sure you're not the only one thinking she's full of shit. How frustrating.

I've only had chicken pox once too and I remember it wasn't too bad and I got to miss a whole week of school and have friends over! One the the best diseases I ever had LOL.

Boothh- That's really nice of your parents to foster! I always thought I'd love to do it for little babies but I'd never want to give them back. :haha:

Spidey- @ best disease ever. hahaha

As for this girl. She told me when she was younger she had to be put into a mental health hospital. I think she does have real problems. I'd delete her but at the same time I kind of want to see how it plays out. :haha:

LOL Cleckner... you're as bad as me. Try not to let it bother you too much then. Watch this girl's drama like a bad Soap Opera :-)

The other good disease is pink eye. I liked picking the crusties off my eyelashes and I got to miss school too!

Thats terrible Cleck, she sounds like is fishing for people to feel sorry for her, attention seekers suck, I want to hit them.

My sister is a foster parent. So I am excited for your SIL. My sister was 20 weeks pregnant when my niece Hailey was born, she went into early labor, and then she got ovarian cancer and was told she could not have anymore children, 10 days after birth, my niece died and she has not been able to have another child and its been 8 years. So she took up foster parenting and some of the stories you hear are terrible and heartbreaking, she ended up adopting the first two kids that she got to foster a 5 and 6 year old now, they were 4 and 5 when she got them, neither of them were potty trained or could talk, severe NEGLECT. It was terrible, they are both now in school, and potty trained and talking up storms, I am a proud aunt. She just got a 2 week old baby boy who is withdrawing from drugs pretty bad, she got him when he was 4 days old and its heartbreaking...and she has a 1 year old foster girl, so its busy being one, but thank god there are people out there that do it so kids can be safe and have a loving home.

CAYLEE UPDATE:
Just got home from the doctor and I am an Idiot....I am so humiliated. It's.......bug bites.
The doctor laughed at me and said "Oh you are cute, you worry so much!"
Im like..yeah lady I do..she has not been outside, how are they mosquito bites? And they have been appearing all over and randomly and I told her how they doubled when I got her out of the tub and she said "Honey, they are bug bites, just wash all of her bedding"...which made me feel dirty, I was Caylees bedding every other day! I am a stickler about that...but whatever. I am an idiot, and its bug bites lmao.
