--Lion Cubs - Mummy and Baby Group!-- We are all One Year Old!

Imogen was a bit funny at the CM at first, but now she leaps out of our arms into theirs every morning. Sometimes it's a bit miffing how bothered she is when we go :haha:

Think she's gearing up to walking, she can almost stand on her own and she steps between furniture now, but it's more controlled falling than walking. Went up to check on her a minute ago and she was curled up with her arm around her dinosaur teddy - makes my heart melt ever time :)

jesse has slept through the last 3 nights in a row!

1st night 7.30pm - 8.30am
2nd night 8.00pm - 9.30am
3rd night 7.30pm - 9.00am

hopefully its the start of us having our own bed to ourselves haha

he has a nasty cough and cold though but he is on calpol and tixilix baby syrup at the moment it is snot city round here lol, he has also been doing a few steps here and here more often now, still only one or two steps at a time but its a start, i think hes starting to realise its quicker than getting down to crawl 2 feet away and stand back up again x

oh my gosh Nutty that is just the cutest pic x

ARGH! SO CUTE!! Yup, it's a bit like that. I have to drag myself away from staring at her :haha:

Been really quiet in here recently, I hope everyone is doing ok.

Boothh - saw on facebook something about pain killers, hope you're ok? How is Jesse getting on, did you get to see that other doctor?

Aunty E - have you got a bump yet?

Pip - how are you doing lovely? I hope things are looking up a little for you :hugs:

Cleck - hope you are having fun with Corey home.

Nutty - I want to do a cake for my parents 40th wedding anniversary this weekend - any ideas?

Well we have had a busy week here. It was David's 30th birthday last week and we had a little fancy dress party - the theme was the letter H. I went as a hula girl and he went as He-man, it was a very fun night. Then we had a friends wedding on Saturday. Sophia came to the wedding and dinner and the i took her home and went back for a few drinks (obviously leavign her with Grandma!). She was such a gem all day and everyone commented onhow good she was.

Unfortunately due to all this overindulgence I have put on 5 lbs in the last month :dohh: so I should now be on a diet - however after being up apporx 4 hours I am now finishing off all teh naughty stuff that we have in the house! Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day!

Sophia is walking a bit more now, we have had 8 steps in a row and she is getting quite good at actually stopping instead of just falling over or throwing herself at something.

i have some new painkillers for my back, i have to take them for ten days along with muscle relaxants to give it time to heal, but they make me feel really weird, im still in bed and jesse is with my mum last night and tonight to give me time to get used to them,

jesses appointment was okay the doctor said he doesnt have reflux he has undiagnosed vomiting, and basically he has a double appointment this friday were we have to feed him in the doctors and then hes going to examine his stomach while its full to try and see whats going on x

I forgot all about this Thread! I haven't been on in about 11 months!

Hi girls.. been a busy weekend for me. typing with one hand as Kira is sleeping on the other, so forgive me!

ash- how is Kara doing with nursery now? Does she put up a fuss when its time to go home? Good luck on getting lucky charms! If everything falls thru I can see what I can do for ya, but wouldn't shipping be really expensive?

Kimberly- soon Bryson will be running around I bet!

Boothh- Congrats to Jesse sleeping thru the night!! Hope your back feels better soon :hugs:

Nutty- love that picture. Our girls both like sheep :)

Shiv- 8 steps is great!

AE- Imogen might be taking her 1st steps soon!!

Kira is still not walking and she refuses to try, LOL. If I stand her up she buckles her knees. So stubborn! But we had our playdate and the 17 month old girl was running everywhere getting into trouble and throwing temper tantrums!! When they left I told Kira its okay to be my sweet baby for awhile longer and she doesn't have to walk if she doesn't want to :haha:

She's still carrying around her sheep wherever she goes! Today Kira and Sheepy played in the sandbox, read books and watched Dora :)

aw Kira's sheep infatuation is so cute

Re Spidey: Oh he is now! I cant keep him contained anymore haha. He certainly keeps me busy but I just love how adorable it is to watch him walking around on his tip toes. :haha: :cloud9: I love him so much!!

Everyone else, because I'm short on time at the moment please forgive me for not answering everyone individually right now. Hope you're all doing well.

Oh! And .....
AF arrived today...soon as she's gone, it's time to TTC!!! :happydance:  I'm excited and really scared at the same time. Eeeeeps!!

how many are there of us in the northwest? or could easily get here? just wondering if we have enough to warrant a meet up here, just thought with the last one being in january!! and in London it might be fair to try and have one up here soon? xx

Well Mog and I have both had a stinking cold. I'm pretty much better, but Mogling is very very snotty :( The walking thing is coming on though, she often steps between furniture without hanging on, and she can stand up unsupported if she doesn't think about it too much ;) We're having trouble keeping her away from the stove, so are planning on turning the unwanted lindam playpen into a fireguard. You can buy a set of wall adapters to attach it to the wall either side of the chimney breast, and we need something sturdy and fixed in as her favourite game involves scraping a plastic toy along the glass of the stove to make a horrid noise. Fine (if annoying) when it's not lit, but deadly if it was.

Really hoping to have our garden sorted so Imogen can play in it. At the moment we have the world's most lethal patio, with two levels and steps and crazy paving all over it, which we can't let her play on. It's not much better in the garden as it's got loads of nettles and brambles, and chicken poop as we let our chooks free range. I ordered some picket fencing so I can give them their own corner of the garden to roam in, and then we can concentrate on making the bit by the house nice for Imogen. At least we drained the pond with no bother! We're going to fill it in and plant an apple tree in it. It was quite deep, maybe three feet at the lowest part, and would have been minging with mosquitoes and stuff in the summer. I don't have the patience or time for pond maintenance! I barely manage to mow the lawn now and then :haha:

So we had our gender scan this morning. I went in, confidently explained to the ladies why I was sure it was a girl, and nearly fell off the bed when they told me it was a boy. They were very very sure. I have a picture of his boy bits. I'm in shock. Honestly, I was completely and utterly convinced he was a girl. We had a name picked out for a girl. I've been telling everyone I was sure it was a girl. I know I said I didn't mind this time, and I don't really, but I'm just so completely taken aback. I don't know how to do boys. erkle.

congratulations on your little boy! boys a great! one of each sounds perfect to me :) xx

congrats on the boy AE - I knew as soon as i saw your were suprised on fb that it was a boy!! Can't be that much dfifferent to a girl, just put a bit of paper over their dinkle when you change them :haha:

so can you tell us the name you were gonna use for a girl?

id say boys are easier if anything to change cus you dont have all the creases etc (bleurgh) which i can imagine get quite messy when they poo, which makes me feel ill, with boys its easy no certain way to wipe etc xx

You said that you were certain it was a girl. Is that because of a certain method you and OH used to get pregnant? Or was it just a feeling is all? I'm curious b/c DH and I are about to use the Shettles Method to try to conceive a little girl. That and I felt certain that Bry was a girl too when I was pregnant with him but it's pretty obvious that I was wrong. Hehe. Don't worry if he's a boy, you will find that you will love him and love having him around. Little boys are a lot of fun and there is no relationship tighter and no love stronger than that between a little boy and his Mommy. ;) Congrats on him! :flower:

Hey girls!

Well our internet went out on Friday so I haven't been able to get on here. I got on with my phone but it's not the same so I just gave up and read books instead over the weekend.

First off, Aunty E CONGRATS!!!! :happydance: I'm not afraid to admit I am extremely jealous. One of each sounds just perfect to me. :flower:

Boothh- I hope they can get Jesse's throwing up issue taken care of. I'm so glad he got an earlier appointment. :hugs: Hope he's doing okay.

Kimberly-
My AF ended on Saturday so we are officially trying now. WOO! I am using ovulation strips for the first month to make sure I'm even ovulating since I'm still BFing. :dohh: We'll see!! I've never used them before so it's a bit awkward for me but I have to know if trying is even worth it cause I might not be ovulating yet.

Gotta go back and read the previous page now. :haha: I'm doing it backwards.

spidey- I love that Kira has a sheep fetish. It's so cute. I honestly wish Emma had something that she'd be attached to so maybe she'd be more independent from me. :haha:I seriously would live it up while you can before Kira walks. I'm contemplating buying Emma a huge leash and just tying her up to something.

nutty- I love that cake! It looks somewhat similar to my wedding cake. Those were my colors too. I love seeing your cakes! Your so talented.

Shiv- Yay for more steps!!! Sounds like you have a toddler on your hands! :D As for weight gain, I've never LOST the weight so I can't really talk. :haha: I did lose 10 pounds after DH left but now that he's back I've already started gaining it all back. :dohh: He likes to eat out and I can't control myself.

So yesterday my book disappeared. I've been reading those true blood books and I was at a good part in it and my book was just gone. So I looked under the couch, under everything, all over the house. Than about 3 hours later I realized Emma is always throwing things in the garbage. So I had to dig at the bottom because I made dinner and threw a bunch of jars and boxes away after making lasagna. :dohh: My book was there. Smelling like garbage and a bit warped from the moisture. I don't know what I"m gonna do with that child of mine. I've been trying to find a trash can that locks. :haha:

Emma has been stepping up the tantrums in the past few days. I think she's getting another tooth because she usually gets horrible tantrums than a tooth breaks through, and than she's fine again. I wish they would just all pop in at once and get it over with. :D

Sophia has been walking everywhere today, getting a lot more confident

Cleck i hadnt even considered that I could be having periods but not be ovulating - eek!

Shiv- Aww!! It's crazy how quickly they go from taking a few steps to full blown walking everywhere!
Yeah I didn't realize it either but some women in the BFing section have been trying for ages. I googled it and kellymom talks about getting periods but not ovulating. EEK! It says for the first few periods we might not ovulate. Mine have been back for a few months now so I"m hoping that I'm ovulating by now. :D
