--Lion Cubs - Mummy and Baby Group!-- We are all One Year Old!

Awww... thats cute that Emma and Sophia like cleaning supplies :) I think its a neat idea to buy play cleaning supplies for them since mimicking is fun. I always make a big deal when Kira "helps" me do something and I hope one day she'll actually be happy to pitch in and help. If I'm folding laundry on the floor, she'll pick up socks or bras and put them in the laundry basket. She's so determined to do it too because its not easy when you're still crawling. She's obsessed with the dishwasher though, and will come over and try to climb in it when I have it open. Recently I've been showing her how to close it, so now she comes over and "helps" me by closing it :dohh: But its much safer than climbing in it, so I'm happy

Emma loves the dishwasher too. She always helps me unload the silverware. She hands forks and spoons to me one by one and I make a huge deal by saying thank you and good job. It's fun having a little helper. Makes cleaning a lot less tedious. I definitely think having them help is a good way to start them out right. I never had to help my mom clean our house and it's funny because I'm a complete neat freak. But when DH and I got married he had to teach me how to run a washer and dryer. And he also had to teach me how to use a dishwasher. :dohh:

I wanted to post these earlier but forgot. This is Emma trying on her ladybug costume!! :D The straps need shortening and I plan on putting her in black tights and a black bow if I can find one.

nutty- LOL at her falling asleep on your legs. Guess you'll be there for a while. :winkwink: She's so cute! I love her curls at the back. Do you think she'll have all curly hair once it grows in? That'd be adorable. 6 steps sounds like a bunch to me! She'll be full blown walking in no time. :flower:

Well my inlaws should be here today and they are just here until Sunday morning. They flew over to arizona because another family member lives there and than they are renting a car and driving to see us. We are just the 'side' trip. They are going to the grand canyon and a few other touristy spots too.

Abbi is sooo cute, she is looking at you like "what mom?"

I LOVE Emmas costume, she is so adorable!

I went in for my 6 week check up and got on the Nuva ring, it's interesting haha. Crappy thing is my insurance does not cover it and its 77 dollars for 1 month, so I got one month and will probably switch to the pill, 77 is a lot for birth control when I can pay 3.00 :/

Caylee had her first sleep over last night with her 18 month old cousin, it was so cute. They shared a bed and played and laughed and blabbed all night. We are going to start doing sleep overs once a month so they can be close.

It does seem a little quiet!

I love the picture of Abbi. It's amazing she didn't break all the eggs- she must have been very gentle with them!

Emma's costume is soooo cute. Now I want to get Kira a costume too! I might have to look for one this weekend. Cleckner- are the inlaws usually well behaved when they visit?

Thats really cute that Caylee had a sleepover already! I bet they were really cute together. :cloud9:

So Kira actually said an entire word yesterday. All her words are partial words, so "duh" for done or "da" for daddy. She was saying "ba" for bath, but now she adds the ending onto bath, but it sounds more like "bah-puh" hehe. We're trying to get to it sound more like "bah-thuh" but she still puts that p sound in there.

Spidey- Yeah my inlaws are great! I'm amazed because Emma walked right up to my MIL and reached her arms out to be picked up. :cloud9: I'm so thankful because I figured she'd be a grump.

I only get to see the inlaws tomorrow and than they leave sunday already. So it is just a quick weekend visit. :( But a little bit of time is better than no time I guess.

We have finally mastered walking here. Talking is really just Mama, dadee and chimp noises. She can say yeah, bek (breakfast) and used to say mil (for milk) but since she is off milk she doesn't use it at all. But she doesn't use signs either (we are a makaton household due to DS2) so probably she has no need of language yet since I pretty much know what she wants, when she wants it. She does do actions to songs though.

Apart from that, not much happening. My baby is now a toddler :( A cute cheeky mad toddler at that. :D

how adorable that Emma remembered her grandma. I bet she'll have fun with all the extra attention today.

Kira sounds like Abbi in that she cries at everyone. She only allows me, DH, her grandma's and grandpa to get close to her. The other day I took her to my mom's house and my mom had a guest sitting on the couch. As soon as we walked thru the door Kira screamed her head off for 5 minutes!

Angelstardust- Congrats on the walking! Kira's still a crawler, but we're working on walking. She's so stubborn about it and will buckle her legs! I googled makaton since I've never heard of it before.

The nuvaring is a vaginal ring that I shove up there haha. SPEAKING OF THAT...When I was at the doctor and he was all up in my lady bits, he told me I was VERY fertile right now, so I got the Nuvaring and MY mistake for not reading or asking questions about it, I went home and did the deed with Ross.......yeah no other form of protection, it was the first time we did anything in 8 weeks...aaaaaaaaannnnd come to find out the Nuvaring is not effective for 7 full days......WHHHATTTTT!

that is SO cute, a little cleaner already! I always wonder if you can buy a little vacuum cleaner that actually sucks up. Sophia LOVES the hoover and I am sure if I bought her one she would puch it around all day. if it sucked up it would save me a job!

im still reading but jesse has a doggy vacuum that really sucks up, i doubt it would clean the whole living room properly but it does pick up bits of paper and fluff hes always going around 'cleaning' hahaha x

:hugs: awww even though it was a quick visit i bet it was a nice change?
and how cute that emma reached out!! abbi is a pain for that...she will cry at EVERYONE she sees....apart from me, adam, kai and my mum n dad...she even cries at my brothers!!

she didnt cry at meee!!!! :happydance:

Ahhh Heidi it wud be so gud if u got preg agen hahaha  we wud all (hopefully) have summer babies again!

Kara isn't fond of strangers either, altho since She's been going to nursery she's gettin a lot better!

She isn't very well at the moment, she's been chucking her guts up since Wednesday, I've had her in the doctors 3 times and they say they can't find anything wrong with her, but surely, severe vomiting for 5 days means something is wrong!! They make me so mad!

X

Just popping in real quick. Heidi I would DIE if you got pregnant again already.:rofl:

The inlaws are still here. It's been fun. DH leaves in about an hour and they plan on staying for a day or two more so at least I won't be alone the whole time DH is gone.

hi everyone - I am SO hungover! not good, i am far too old for drinking! Had a great weekend away with uni friends though and for once Sophia wasn't upset with me when I came home!

Heidi - that is crazy - gonna be quite a two week wait for you!

Boothh - where is the doggy hoover from? How was Harrogate?

Cleck - glad you've got some company , although quite frankly there is no way i would want my inlaws staying without David here :haha:

Spidey - congrats on first proper word - how cute!

argh can't remember anything else - sorry. I might go and get some toast, think i might finally be ok to eat something!

jesse is still teething badly, his back teeth are taking ages to come through and hes really grumpy with it, not very nice! hes learnt how to say banana though haha x

my auntie went to the one on saturday morning too haha how funny, and my mum went last night lol, we are disney freaks our family!
you should look into it most of the time its kids under 7 are free which is good for you, it doesnt have to be expensive if you look around for offers (which we did cus we are skint ha)

well on thursday when i was packing i lost my expensive blusher, so had to nip in asda and get some cheap thing cus i needed it for wedding ha, this morning jesse was messing about in my room while i dozed and i looked around hes sat there with the blusher i lost poking his fingers in and eating it! so i reckon he hid it lmao! xx

I am excited for you Booth, you are going to have so much fun!! Take lots of pictures

Just seen that no one has posted on here since the 19th! That just isn't right. :haha:

 everyone!!

Nothing too new is happening here. We are going to a halloween parade/festival on saturday and I'm excited about that. i plan on bringing Emma in her costume and DH is going to dress up like a hillbilly with a mullet. And I just got a red shirt with red devil horns and a pitchfork. And than I'll just wear jeans. So I'm not going all out or anything but it's still fun. Than on sunday we plan on going to a pumpkin patch and picking out a pumpkin for us all. They also have a corn maze so that will be fun to walk through. We'll carve the pumpkins that night too. Any halloween plans for you guys?
