--Lion Cubs - Mummy and Baby Group!-- We are all One Year Old!

Well done on losing 5lbs! I wish we were within walking distance of anything, but all we have is cows and grave yards! Still, I wouldn't live in a large town every again.

No sleep last night, DS2 was up with really bad coughing fits and then his tummy was sore inbetween that so I spent most of the night sitting next to him rubbing hsi tummy while he slept. And then an interesting day at college. What should have been an easy lab was a nightmare because nobody had a clue! Not only did they not have a clue, but they refused to listen to the few that did! I hate disorganisation. It's like being in a bloody nursery at times! grrr....

Heidi, Amber throws food when she is finished. The 'ignoring it' does work, it's easier to clean up afterwards than to attempt to stop them and let them know it gets to you. Does she help you clean up afterwards?

Yeah I make her clean it up with me, she is really good at picking up though.

When she makes a mess with her toys she usually goes over and starts picking them all up and putting them in her toybox <3 it melts my heart.

aw i hope all the poorly people perk up soon - tis the season for it!

Is it thanksgiving for you U.S ladies tomorrow? If so have a great day and eat lots!

Cleck - well done on the 5lb weight loss, even if you did put it all back on over Thanksgiving, it still means that you will be 5lbs lighter as otherwise you would have put 5lbs on on top of what you were (iygwim?)

Well my mum was allowed home from hospital today - she won't be able to do much for a few weeks becuase of the stitches (she had her appendix removed) but at least she is at home.

i am feeling a bit sorry for myself today - boo hoo me!

Shiv- That's a good way to think of it! The loss was just in preparation for all the turkey I'm going to gobble down tomorrow. :haha: I'm glad your mom is home! That must be a relief.

angel- I miss living in the country!! Oddly, the smell of cow manure makes me think of home.

Heidi- Hope you all feel better soon. :hugs:

I wanted to take Emma to see santa but I have no clue where one is around here. So I think we are going to have to skip him this year. I wanted to go to sea world and see him(weird place for santa to be I know) but now we don't have the money after the accident. :( Shiv, I'll join you in the pity party. lol.

I got bored and made a video for the girls today haha

iv been adding up how much iv spent on jesse for christmas and ive spent £450 so far and not even bought some things yet :dohh: stuart is going to go mad, i thought id spent about £200 but obviously not, it doesnt even look like that much at all though, cus he has nowhere near the amount he had last year or his birthday and im sure i sepnt less then!

Awwww Heidi, that's beautiful hun!! :D Brought a tear to my eye. What a wonderful testimony of the love of a mother to their child(ren). :cloud9: I might have to have you make me one haha. :haha:

Heidi- Aww that's so sweet!! Caylee and Lily look SO much alike already too. :D Hope you guys are feeling better. I saw on FB that Ross is sick now too. :( Must be awful. :hugs:

Happy thanksgiving to all my american friends!!! :D

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!

Yeah Ross has the flu now, so we are spending Thanksgiving at home, all 4 of us..sick

:( :hugs: Is someone gonna bring over some food for you guys? Well, it'll be a memorable first thanksgiving for Lily I guess.

No, all my family is in a different town and his family pretty much said "Oh well" so we ordered Papa Johns pizza haha.

Last Thanksgiving Caylee was in the hospital with RSV..and now Ross has the flu and Caylee has had a temp of 102.6 going on all day , it will drop and spike back up, called the hospital they said to not bring her in until its at 104...uhhh ok?:dohh:
So we are 2 for 2..both Thankgivings have been a nightmare with Caylee being sick, can not believe it. I gave her motrin and made sure she is drinking lots of fluids, sh is up playing now, so we are starting to see our baby girl back.

BAHHH I need a vacation haha

Oh no!! :( Sounds like a nightmare. I hope your next thanksgiving goes better. Geez, what horrible luck around the holidays. :hugs::hugs: If I was close by I would've popped over and brought some food. :flower:

throwing food- Kira's been doing this for a long time. Its worse when she's full and she also does it when there's food on her plate that she doesn't like. I just ignore it and if she's done eating, I'll take her out before every spec of food is tossed. I'm so used to cleaning the floor 3 times a day that it doesn't phase me anymore I think.

jelr- your description of Natasha as thinking about things before diving in is very much like Kira. It seems to keep her out of trouble too. Seldom Kira will go into another room without me there, so I haven't needed to baby proof much. Perhaps when she starts walking that will change. Thats really cute about Natasha saying Ho Ho Ho :haha:

Shiv- I'm glad your mom is home. I bet she'll start healing quickly now that she's in her own bed. Its not easy to sleep in the hospital and our bodies need sleep to heal.

Heidi- I love the video you made! Does Caylee keep those mittens on? I need to get Kira a pair, but I'm afraid she would rip them off as soon as I got them on her! Hope you all feel better soon. :hugs:

Thanksgiving went great and Kira loved all the extra attention. She was flirting with her uncle Joel and when we would all laugh, she would laugh too. So cute!! :cloud9: It took us forever to get her to bed though since she was so hyped up on pumpkin pie and cool whip.

Amber has been sick so ofcourse I am in the first stages of freak-out mode. Not too bad since she seems to be alert but I think she is fed up with me staring at her!

Hello My girls!!! Remember me? I can't believe the group still alive!!!!!!! I just wanted to check in with you, I got too busy after I had the baby, sometimes not even time to shower!!! It was a rough couple of months, I will post some pictures of my little girl this weekend. Hubby is traveling now so the baby and I had pumpkin soup and tofu for thanksgiving dinner, we don't have family around where we live, but I am always grateful to have her!!!
I am so excited to be back!!!! I will start reading the posts and see if I can catch up for the last year and so.

Hi, I have a terrible memory :dohh: sorry haha.
Glad you found us though!

Hey ckc! I remember you! Good to have you pop back in! Hopefully you are here to stay. :hugs:

I miss some of the old girls from this group. But I suppose it's only natural when we have babies to keep us busy now. I often wonder about some of them though. How they turned out and how they are doing. Xantha I think is her name is one of them. She was always really outspoken on here and than just disappeared.

Anyways, DH leaves in 2 days. He has duty today so won't see him until tomorrow so tomorrow is our last day together. :( It hasn't really hit me yet I don't think. I pretend to be stronger than I actually am I think. I won't even take him to the ship tuesday morning. I told him I can't do it. So he is hitching a ride with another guy. I just want him to leave so we can get it over with. It's like ripping off a bandaid.

:hugs: I'm sorry Cleck. That would be so so hard to have him leave. I couldn't imagine going through that. You are such a strong woman :flower: and a dedicated wife. Just enjoy tomorrow as much as you can and don't look at it as goodbye, it's a see ya later.

I really miss Shadow  I know she is so busy, she was just such a huge part of this group. But I am glad I still have all of you :hugs:

I miss Sam_Star and I wonder how Elinor is getting on.

Cleck, hope he returns soon, or the time goes by quickly for you.

Amber has a cold and I had to give her ibuprofen a couple nights ago. Called the hospital to ask first and they siad it was fine. Gave her half a dose and felt sick to my stomach doing it. However she is her normal self so I am not that worried. And she can go up anytime for a check up. Back on Friday for more bloods anyway.

This week we seem to be working on basic communication. Head nodding officially means yes and shaking officially means no. She is picking up a few Makaton signs from DS2 and will now follow me about signing juice.
