Long Irregular Cycles 'r' Us

Hi SJNAMS!! .. please tell us your story! was you ttc long? what where your cycles like? im soo happy you got your beautiful bundle of joy! cant wait until its our turn! xxxxxxxx

Here's my :bfp: story.......

After a mammoth cycle where I even resigned myself to not ovulating and wishing for AF to show up, I finally ovulated on CD 57. Never believed I would actually fall pregnant after waiting so long for eggy but those temps stayed high every morning and with a little encouragement from DH and my POAS posse I tested this morning on CD 73 and got my :bfp: :happydance::happydance:

..................
We had been TTC for 7 months but I had only had 3 cycles and I was basically just biding my time, keeping my charts and waiting untill I was able to go to the docs for help. The cycle we got pregnant, we had both given up and were feeling really down hearted about the whole process, I was especially jealous of all the "normal" cycle women out there who seemed to have more chances to get PG....after all if they got a negative one month, they only had to wait a couple of weeks to try again while I had no idea how long I would have to wait before I would OV again, or even if I would OV again!!! That I think is the hardest thing to come to terms with when dealing with irregular/long cycles, the not knowing when you will get your next chance to try again, so I really feel for you ladies :hugs:

Good luck ladies, all my :dust: goes to you!!!

p.s. here is a pic of my gorgeous son :cloud9:

Lovely to see you in here again sjnams, you originally started this thread many months ago, i bet your surprised to see it still going.

Congratulations on the birth of your gorgeous little boy. :happydance:

like you my cycles were loopy, i have 6 cycles in 12 months before conceiving i got my :bfp: on CD65! the day before my FS appointment, chance would have it that my FS diagnosed my thyroid problem early in my pregnancy, i dread to think what might of happened had it been left un-noticed!

some of us are following your inspirational footsteps and others will follow shortly i'm sure!
:dust: for all my lovely team buddies! Hang it there it will happen, even when you least expect it.

Hello girls, I'm joining you with the long irregular cycles (hope that's ok?) I thought I had a 35 day cycle which I did last month but I was never really convinced I ov'ed this month and the witch is still nowhere in sight.. Tested several times and it's bfn. So now I'm twiddling my thumbs waiting for my period so I can get on with next month!

yeh, 100 days now! lol gone quite quick really considering, hope my gyno does something for me! ... i dont wanna be turned away!.

hope every one is ok xxxxxxxx

thanks bizybee. i think o, is just around the corner as i had tons of ewcm yesterday so soon be in the 2ww again fxd.xx

Hey ladies =D

I've been mia for a couple of days again. DH & I celebrated our first wedding anniversary yesterday... we left on Wednesday for 2 nights in Crewe Hall & 2 days in the zoo. Nothing else planned, but as it turned out we also went shopping, to Cheshire oaks, saw 2 movies, went out for dinner and went to Stapley Water Gardens. So we've had a brilliant couple of days away =D

My temperature is all over the place so far this cycle, mostly due to being in different locations and the massive change in weather we've had over here. From loads and loads of rain to gorgeous sunny weather. I've also started taking my temp at a different time, so hopefully FF will catch on soon and figure out when/if I ovulate this cycle. I've still got loads of time ahead of me =D AF has finally packed her bags though ... I say finally, she was here less than a week, much better than the 3 weeks she used to stay! So hopefully CM will happen next week approaching ovulation.

I'll probably up my dose of Metformin to 3 a day tomorrow. I was supposed to do so on Tuesday, but with going away for a couple of days I decided to wait. I've just gotten used to 2 a day now, not feeling sick anymore at all! But fully expecting 3 a day to make me start all over again. At least from then on I won't need to up the dose anymore =)

BizyBee, nope ... no decorating of this apartment at all. In fact, we're looking at clauses to get out of the contract and go somewhere else. The neighbours are no fun at all, as soon as she comes home from work in the evening the music goes on and we're left listening to her subwoofer until she goes to bed. Which on Fridays and Saturdays isn't until around 2 or 3 in the morning. And really, it's not a very pleasing sound to be listening to at the best of times ... but especially not when trying to sleep! DH is not taking well to this at all, he's very very stressed and gets agitated at the smallest of noises now. He really wants out, and while I think it's a shame as I -love- this place, I must admit the 'music' is starting to get to me too now.

We spoke to her earlier this week, invited her up to come and listen around 10 in the evening. She agreed and while over admitted you can indeed hear it, even over the sound of the tv. Now, we thought she'd turn it down when going back downstairs ... but nah. Apparently her telling us that her other neighbours had a karaoke party last week and she could hear everything but didn't ask them to turn it down meant that she wasn't going to turn hers down anymore either.

So we've spoken to the landlord, who said he'd write her a letter and speak to her on the phone. We'll see how things go this weekend, maybe if it stays quiet DH will change his mind. I really doubt it though *sigh*

Sigh, I've been away for a while. The Sims 3 has stolen my life! My OH and I have just been enjoying our summer because neither of us have classes until August. I'm just waiting this cycle out.

Bizybee, sorry to hear that the first cycle didn't work, but you are right, at least you cycle is shorter.
Drakey-hope the gyno DOES do something for you. 100+ cycles are no fun, I had those before I went on BCP.
Erised- Really, she won't turn it down? That's ridiculous. Hope she quiets down and you guys can stay in your new apt.
quail- FXD you get a BFP.

I'm about 900% sure I have missed someone, and I do apologize. Welcome to our new members, here's to hoping you get your BFP soon.

... Sims 3?! You lucky person! As you're a little early, I'm assuming it's a 'back up copy' of the game? ;)

I've decided to stay away from it and the sims forums until my copy arrives, hopefully on the 5th of June. I'm trying to be good, though I'm getting very tempted!
Is it as good as we all hoped it would be?

Sims 3 has been stealing my life too! I didn't play the earlier ones so I can't really say if it's better but it's certainly addictive. Helps to pass the time while waiting for the witch hehe.

Haha so I'm not the only one with an early "back up copy", lol. I'm ready for it to actually come out, so I can buy it and actually use the online stuff. I'm trying to stay away from the forums... It is good. I don't like the fact that its more difficult to switch families because when you do, the other families you are working on continue living. One of my families had a baby taken by the social worker while I was playing another family in the neighborhood.

hi all well my opks are getting darker so think im gonna o,in the next few days a few days earlier than last month so hopefully my cycles are becoming more normal.xx

Ack, I had assumed there would have been a way to pause playable families from living their own life while playing another family? To be honest, I don't think it will affect me much anyway as I tend to only play 1 family and I love that I'll now be able to move siblings out yet have them age at the same rate. I'm really looking forward to it! I still have a 5 day wait left though, and that is -if- it gets delivered on time *sigh*

What's it like playing with the main 'needs' like bladder, hunger etc being taken away? Are the sims days still pretty much as long as they used to be? And what -do- you do through out the day to keep your sims active? In the sims 2 I usually end up playing on speed 3 to go through everything quickly and just spend the day studying and keeping their needs up. It just seems that without the needs there's not all that much left. Hmm...

-Edit-
Posted at the same time as quail, that's great news hon! Hope you'll have proper positives very soon =) How long is your cycle looking to be if it does turn positive in the next few days?

well eriseed it looks like im in for a 28-30 day cycle this time finally im getting back to normal.xx

Feel like we're hijacking this thread a bit lol!

They still have needs, hygiene, hunger, fun, bladder etc. While they are home you can be leveling them up on the various different skills and granting their lifetime wishes etc. Or making them have 'woohoo' to get babies! My baby obsessed brain means that im constantly churning out kids lol. I find that there is so much to do you always feel like you run out of time in the day. The only time I fastforward is when they are all sleeping.
Ive stayed focused on my little family, well its quite big now hehe. I like the fact that when your sims die they still visit as ghosts. It's quite bizarre!

Sounds fun, can't wait until Friday to test everything myself =)
Quail, that's brilliant! Pretty much a normal cycle then

No real updates for me... but I'm a little worried FF will not pick up on my ovulation this cycle (if it happens of course). My temperatures are all over the place due to sleeping in different places and at different temperatures. So far we've had:

- Bedroom, cold rainy weather / cold room during temping time
- Bedroom, warm sunny weather / hot room during temping time
- Hotel room, air conditioned to 15 C / cold room during temping time
- Hotel room, warm sunny weather / hot room during temping time
- Spare bedroom, warm sunny weather / very hot room during temping time

And it's only CD9!!! Plus, on top of it all I changed the time on which I check a couple of days ago. I'd be very surprised if FF managed to make sense out of all this. Just in case I've started using OPK's again daily.

Reason I slept in the spare bedroom last night is, once again, the neighbours. They had (another) party and the music was stupidly loud. The metformin made me feel sick so I went to bed 'early' (midnight). The only way to avoid the massive noise was by sleeping in our spare bedroom which is on the top floor of the building. It's a 4 story building and they're on the bottom floor. And even then we could still hear the music and them, and it went on until past 3 in the morning ='(

We're soooo fed up with this. The landlord claimed he had written to them, so they must have had this letter. It seems they just don't care what so ever. We'll call again tomorrow to speak to him properly, and we'll see where we go from there. We'll either be swapping our bedroom and office around (bedroom is 2nd floor, so hears the music worst) or we'll be coming to a deal with the landlord to cut our contract short and move back in with MIL until we find somewhere else. But -something- will need to change.

Quail-good to hear things are starting to regulate!
Erised- i'm sorry your neighbors are stupid.
