I know this thread is old but why not?

How long has everyone been trying.16 years this month for me. DH is finally ready to try medical assistance but due to COVID cuts to both our incomes…we can’t afford it. Sometimes it seems like there’s absolutely everything stacked against me!

Oh hun. I would totally recommend you to get a good doctor / fertility specialist. I wouldn't have been able to get pregnant on my own without help. I have / had PCOS and I wasn't ovulating on my own and my husband had some infection that affected his sperm count for years!! We conceived on our 4th month with clomid and monitoring of my cycle with bloodwork and ultrasound. There's a lot of things one can try that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Just take it a step at a time! IVF is usually a last-resort since that is the most invasive and expensive method. There's ovulation-stimulating medicine / IUI / so many other options!!!
