Has anyone out there had this problem?

It appears they have finally found the problem with my pregnancy after months of speculation. I was sent to see a specialist in southern Ontario who very easily was able to identify what we are dealing with.

It stems right back to my bicornuate uterus, and the placenta having attached partially to the septum. Blood flow appears to be slower because of this, and my little girl is now measuring about two weeks behind as a result.

So, I am now worried that she will be born with problems, besides a lowered birth weight.

They are going to monitor me, and if it does prove that she is not getting the proper blood flow/nutrients, we will be having an early c-section.

The specialist told me that had the blood flow been really low yesterday, he would have taken her right then and there, but he wants to give us a bit more time before making this decision. :(

Our 12 week scan showed notching on the umbilical arteries, which could cause problems later in pregnancy. I was put on aspirin and am now 34+5 and baby is small and we are possibly being induced on 14th April. xx

I am really, really hoping to have her stay in another 5 or 6 weeks. Will bring us closer to term, which will hopefully limit our stay.

Fingers crossed.

I realize that this was posted a couple of years ago. But i am currently having the same problem. I am 27 weeks and 2 days. I went to a genetics doctor yesterday because they believe that my baby girl may have down syndrome, and they informed me that they are having trouble actually finding her nasal bone, that her heart is not symmetrical like it is supposed to be, that the blood flow in the umbilical cord is low, and her growth is about 2 weeks behind. So now i have to go to my obgyn every week to get monitored, I have to get a fetal echo at childrens and i have to have a follow up appointment at the genetics doctor in 3 weeks. I was just wondering what your results were and how you got through it. Thank you! :)
