Mamarazzis! Camera/DSLR Group

Veganmama, I just put a sheet up, or stick her next to a wall, lol. :D

So my hubby sold his car, and is letting me use some of the money to go towards some new lenses. Does anyone have any recommendations for lenses, or camera gear, etc?

Oooh fun! What's your budget?

HEYYYYY PIIIIIP!!! How are you doing lover? Those pics are amazing. We're shooting with the same camera... More excited to get my 50mm 1.8 lens than ever now xx

We're great, thanks. You? I bet you're busy with your two LO's. I am delighted with both the camera and lens and of course the outcome. When are you getting your lens? Is Santa bringing it?

I think I can afford around $600. :flower:

I'll think about it and get back to you!

Here's a quick shot from earlier today...

I usually have the blinds open, we have two big windows in our living room so it lets in a lot of natural light. Or we shoot outside. If you're in low light, the 50mm lens is great for low light situations. Just up the ISO for more light. :D

Anxiously waiting for my 50mm to get here!! I was tracking my order on Amazon.com and it was "out for delivery" Saturday morning.....well it's Sunday and it's still "out for delivery"!! ARGGH!

Can I get opinions on these please? Very impromptu shoot, BIL and SIL in Garden, this is my new nephew. I did this is a low light room with just the kit lens as stole a chance, planning to print one as a gift for them. They have no idea they were taken, so will be a complete surprise. Anyway, I had to edit the sharpness a tad and that made his milk spots jump out so have airbrushed a touch, can you tell? Does it look ok?

Oh Jemma, he is gorgeous! And those shots are great! I think the second one is the best, and I didn't notice any airbrushing. They will LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

What sweet sleepy newborn shots! They look great, I wouldn't have known they were airbrushed if you hadn't mentioned it.

Bananaz, you have an 85mm 1.8 dont you? How do you like it?

It's a great lens but on a cropped sensor it's just too long for the kinds of photos I do so I hardly ever use it. If I had a full frame camera it would be a different story, though! Someday I'll get my Canon 5D

I should add that the 85mm is probably going to be more useful once LO is older and more independent. I'm guessing that having a longer focal length will come in handy for capturing her running around the park, playing on the playground, etc

Thanks for that. :D

Here's a few I took today.

Please ignore that her onesie is SOAKED. Didn't have a bib on her. :dohh:

So cute! Those bright blue eyes are stunning.

Thanks I think the light really caught them in the first one. They're really more like the second picture but when she gets in the sunlight they are so so sooo blue, I LOVE them.

How about we do a theme shoot now?? Anyone got any ideas? It can be of our kids, of something outside, something around the house, etc etc. I'll look online for ideas, in the meantime other suggestions are welcome. :D

So I bought a 50mm lens from Amazon a couple of weeks ago and it somehow got lost in transit. Amazon provided me with tracking directly from their website. According to their tracking number, the package was "out for delivery" since last week. When I went to the post office, they told me the tracking number was non-existent and there was no such package at the post office destined for my house address. I called Amazon and they sent me a replacement with free next-day shipping :) The woman on the phone told me if I do end up getting the original 50mm lens I ordered then I just will have two to keep! :)

Well, the "lost" package showed up tonight! And my replacement should be here tomorrow!
