Hi all. Hope you are having a good weekend. This last couple of days I've cut back lo's 2 night feeds from 7oz bottles to 5 oz bottles and he's so much more settled throughout the night. I'm also trying to give his first night feed later each night in the hope he will drop a bottle. Last night he went to bed at 6.30, woke at 10.30 but I didn't go into him, he resettled in 4 minutes until 12.30 then had another small feed at 4.45am. He's much less squirmy, I might keep reducing it bit by bit if he will let me.
Reflux question: do your lo'a sound like they are straining in their sleep? It's a really hard noise to describe, guess he sounds abit like a horse 'naying'. Does that make sense to anyone? He stopped doing it for a while but has restarted, only ever when he's asleep. Just wondered if it was a normal baby thing or reflux related. Actually I can tell you exactly what he sounds like....has anyone seen the new zombie film 'world war z'? He sounds exactly like the zombies in that movie...really creeped me out for a few nights doing the night feeds lol
Ps. Handy UK tip...I went to pharmacy to buy some calpol after lo had injections and they said they could do a minor ailment consultation and the pharmacist did a prescription so I got it for free. Not sure if this is something all pharmacys do but she said they can do it for all sorts of things while I have the maternity prescription exemption rather than buy stuff or see a GP if it's something minor.
