March Mamas 2012 Baby Group (Closed Group)

kym that is hilarious! love it

thanks for everyones support re dropping R. he is absolutely fine and playing on his gym (although he should be in bed...)

i get the ticker thing now!

Damn, forgot to mention the dropping. Cupcake, a little part of me would think, 'phew, now it's happened' because we all know it will sometime and I know I half anticipate it. At least with R he's fine and dandy so though you dropped him, no harm done.

MsC bummer about the Wilkinet! Roh quite liked it, but I definitely prefer the Close and the Ergo, have you considered using a wrap in the meantime? I've used one a bit with Roh, but never fully got the hang of wrapping, mostly as I got the Ergo and its nice and easy! Wraps are so flexible though it might offer a good interim and another option. For you when you get your ssc. X

Feeling slightly better, been drinking a lot of rehydration drinks and had a bit of chilled watermelon which was a slight mistake, but nce to have something "solid" ish. Now haven't eaten for 2 days and I still have severe runs :( nightmare. The temperature has calmed down a lot though and that's what was really flooring me.

Right, off to bed as F was a nightmare last night, so on't want to risk no sleep again!

hope you can stomach some food soon emera as you will start to get weak, are you still bf freyja? fingers crossed you get some sleep.

Yes, still bf. Trying to take as much fluids as possible so I don't dehydrate and lose my supply. Hoping it will be ok, if not I have about a litre in the freezer so can top up with that and pump and try to sort it all out once I'm better.

Awwww Cupcake - glad R is OK...must have been a shock for you both. I've jabbed J with my nail and allsorts...not dropped him yet but sure I will at some point :winkwink:

Emera - get better soon :hugs:

MsCrow, it was more like 'tragic Loo singing funky songs' ;) it was fun! Hope you are ok, and the funeral went as well as can be expected. x

Kym, that picture is so funny...AND TRUE! I still drop so much ebm it's embarrassing. It's liquid gold to me

Cupcake, glad R is ok. Must have been a bad shock.

Lozza, will your non dairy torture come to an end by Friday? You did hear about Waula's white choc and raspberry cheesecake yea? And great night! Hope Z does it again for you tonight.

WT, great news about your boys pulling a double D

Emera, you feeling better? Hope your babies are being not too demanding, though I'm sure they are. Keep your fluids up. xx

Well after a dreadful day, we had our best swimming lesson yet! She did a few underwater swims and not even a stuck out bottom lip! AND she slept from 9 'till 4.45 (ill have to play her the song again, im Sure she just mis heard the lyrics). That's my girl!

Al and I have date night tonight. He is surprising me. I have to say that I am looking forward to it, though beyond nervous about leaving D with sil. D just doesn't seem to like anyone!

Loo - hooray for a great swim and night!
Z is definitely sleeping better, he did another 5 hour stretch at first, 8.30-1.30 then almost 3 hours. Is it the lack of dairy or his age, who knows?! Osteo suggested I continued with the diet but I looked at her in horror. Put it like this, there's no way I can't try food made by Waula!!! I'll see then if friday night regresses!

Swimming today then I'm going to venture into Manchester for some holiday shopping.

Cupcake - a few questions! what did you swim R in in the sea? Do I need a wetsuit? Did you have any mosquito problems? How did bf in public go down (in case I need to buy more subtle nursing tops!) anything else you'd recommend taking? We've bought a little factor 50 tent for by the pool, and cream of course.

2 sleeping babies and I have insomnia? Very uncool.

Way to go, D. She'll be a little swimmer in no time. As for the bottom lip... what evolutionary device created the lip pout? It kills me when K does it.

How are you feeling, Emera? Hopefully you're turning a corner and recovering quickly.

WT, insomnia! Me too :sad2: I lay there listening to D grunting and Al snoring and contemplate the meaning of life. SLEEP WOMAN!

Lozza, how much was your tent? We should probably get one. Am so underprepared!

WT I hate when that happens, so unfair!

I'm very jealous of everyone who'll be eating cheesecake!! Since I got ill I've been watching food porn non-stop, eating with my mind! :haha:

Lozza, great to hear Z is sleeping a bit more.

Loo, cheeky D clocking off 15 mins early!! :haha: maybe I need to play the song to F, she's definitely not got the hang of going more than 4 hours without boobie! :dohh: at least in general she doesn't kick off in the night though, just growls for boob and goes back to sleep!

I'm feeling slightly better, although STILL have the runs! and I feel a bit like I've been hit by a bus, everything hurts. Ergh.
On the slightly up side, there's nothing like being ill and bf a lot for 48 hours for losing a stone! I'm just drinking as much water as I can without making myself physically sick.

Hope everyone has a lovely day! Any fun plans? :hugs: Nothing for me except bed and bf! :haha: OH is taking F for her jabs later, as they got cancelled on monday fortunately. :(

Morning Guys,

Cupcake i haven't dropped O but i have cut her little thumb with nail clippers, we both cried as there seemed like there was endless blood  she was fine though and it was only a tiny cut really. I still wont cut her nails now though. I'm glad that R is fine, I'm sure he forgot about it after a minuet or two.

Emera - glad your feeling better.

for some reason O seems really angry with me. She's just shouting at me, was sick all over me but not a drop on her and just laughed at me, AND has just hit the keyboard and deleted my whole post so i had to do it again :(

WT - Yes! I LOVE the pout... Cutest thing ever. She was doing that from day 1 so must be a reflex of some sort. I've been trying to capture it on film but it seems elusive.

STILL have the runs! and I feel a bit like I've been hit by a bus, everything hurts. Ergh.

That qualifies as feeling better? Yikes. Poor Emera. At least you can find the silver lining in the sudden weight loss. If nothing else, you'll be entitled to all the food porn you want when you're finally feeling better. I just pray your DH doesn't get sick. If he's anything like my DH that would mean taking care of 3 little ones.

Just been to tots and tunes and O wasn't impressed till she got to be flung about when we sung the hokey-cokey, she just looked around at everyone before that as if to say 'why are you singing? what are these bells in my hand?' Bless her, i hope she gets used to it.
She's now asleep in the sling from the walk home and i wont to leave her to sleep but it's so hot! I'm boiling so i know she must be.

As for the little sad lip! It should never be aloud!
We've had that from 2 days old! (she was jaundice hence the yellow tinge to her skin)

L&L - try what I did once, slowly lean over the bed an remove the sling from you, he stayed asleep in it and I was free! I'm sure she'll get used to tots and tunes, sounds fun!

Swimming done, he's having a mammoth feed now ad then will hopefully sleep while I head into town.

Loo - ill ask DH about the tent as he sorted it. Think it was around £20. Best thing is it only weighs a kilo so won't take up too much luggage allowance.

I just pray your DH doesn't get sick. If he's anything like my DH that would mean taking care of 3 little ones.

Ahhh, don't that would be a nightmare, he's rarely ill, but when he is, its a sad sad sight! :haha: I'd rather not look after him in that state. Plus wouldn't wish what i've had on anybody, basically full on flu and a tummy bug put together. Ergh!
I may attempt to eat something today though as i'm feeling a bit feeble.

I can't take the sling off with out it going over my head (i don't think anyway). I'm gonna try and slide her our of it though as she seems soundo

Fingers crossed Z takes a nap for you!

Has anyone heard of or know much about GumiGem teething necklaces? There for mum to wear for baby to chew on?

I'm thinking of getting either

or

or
