March Mamas 2012 Baby Group (Closed Group)

 hey missy! glad you had a good time.

FT we've not put O in her own room yet, however she's also started having a night feed again that started a few weeks back so maybe it's an age thing??

I think as soon as one march mama gets pregnant we're all gonna start getting broody again! So not yet please

i know some of you are already NTNP and a couple have said no more but has everyone else thought about when they want to start trying again?
We know we definitely wont more but haven't had the when talk yet.

l&l - MMMMMmmm hadnt thought about it just being age. i just assumed was change of rooms. Thanks hun xxx anyone else with experience?

as for more babies.... i defo want to start trying nov / dec time.... to be honest i feel ready now haha but due to c-sec i will wait :)

I'm the same as you FT, these last few weeks have been really good for us and things have slotted into place and are becoming easier each day so i feel I'm ready to start thinking about number 2, but because of the c section i know i need to wait.

have you been specifically told to wait as you've both had c-secs??? Not sure medically why that would be the case that's all so would be interested to know what has been said! :flower:
I'm broody as hell...and like you lads...things are getting much easier with N and I don't seem to be able to remember the mad first 8 weeks :)haha:) so we are thinking of number 2...the reason we would wait a bit longer is so that we can enjoy N and all his development stages as think it just must be mental both being pregnant with a LO and having a newborn and a toddler

NW lads...the cheesecake is under construction. fat free...dairy free...calorie free...and its got fruit in it so its practically healthy. ok so i'm lying. x

Oh and FT - re changing rooms... N went in there at 9 weeks... he was sleeping terribly then so didn't notice an extra feed :dohh: :haha: how long has he been waking at 3am?? xx PS N did 7-3 last night and I thought he was doing well :haha: xxx

Welcome home, Missy!!!! I didn't mean to make you paranoid. :haha: I'm on the POP pill and didn't have a period for 55 days! So I definitely know how it feels to be paranoid. Of course since that 55 day stretch... I've had 2. :dohh: Now that I've stopped BF, I guess I should switch over to the regular BCP. At least my periods would be regular. Hopefully DH will get something more permanent done soon so I can stop altogether.

FT- My boys were eating twice per night when I switched them, so I guess I'm not a good person to ask. Is G waking up hungry? I notice that my boys are waking up more often now where they don't need to eat; they just needed to be soothed a little bit. If they wake up during the first 6 hours of sleep, I can simply pop the paci back in. However, P tends to stir around 1am. I usually pick him up, bring him to bed with me and he goes right back to sleep without eating for another couple hours. (If I wasn't worried about waking up K, I'd keep him in his bed.)

6 more days until DH comes home!!!

hellooo missey!

i am not sure about when for number 2 yet, at the moment we have pencilled in TTC about december for a september baby although i might chicken out and postpone it. basically i would like an 18 month gap but i don't want a baby born in the middle of the winter so leaves me september or leave it until the spring after.

waula - mmm good Q. im sure i read somewhere that with a c-sec its best to have a minimum gap of 18months for healing.... will look now.
7-3 IS great hun. its just G was a consistant 8-5 until i moved him.... would love to get that back heehee

cuppie- i would prefer not to be heavily pregnant in summer, but not sure i can wait past dec to staert trying heehee

edit - mmm i wonder if g just needs comforting then rather than feed...will see tonight what happens

mmm just read a few things and actually the time between pregnancies with c-sec is same as virginal. so 6 months in between is recommended to replenish nutrients etc.... with an 18-23 month gap being ideal.
interesting...... think DH would die tho if we starting TTC now tho haha

Cuppie - sorry for a crap night  who knows why eh? hope you manage to get a nap today.

:happydance: for good nights sleep from Z and N

:happydance: for a great date night Loo but  for D being unsettled...little minx :winkwink:

Missy welcome back :hugs: I had the contraception chat to and was offered mini-pill (because of my age) or Coil  Just had my smear results back which is clear (thank god!)
Was told with mini-pill (progesterone only) that I might bleed on and off for 6 months at first...well that's as good a contraception as any eh :haha:
Still undecided though

Missy :hugs: welcome home! :hugs: we missed you!

Waula, I was going to drop big clanging hints, but thought its just easier to ask....could you bring a little sample of your elderflower wee? It's my favourite, and I've never had home made :hugs:

FT, we have so far wimped out of putting D in her room as I wanted her to be showing signs of stretching the sleep out longer, but that ain't happening.

D's had her jabs. Not bothered with cowpol :haha: as she's no temp or anything, and she cries regardless! If I give her cowpol and it chills her out the temptation might be too strong to hook her up to an iv of it :haha:

Asda this afternoon. Don't think it will be nice enough to venture out with the nw lads tomorrow so going to stock up on some yummy treats and we can have an indoor picnic :D

i'm excited for you lads meeting tomorrow! And a tiny bit jealous. Hope you all have a lovely time though.

I was trying to wind O but she decided eating my shoulder was better so i;ve just left her munching away.
I ordered a Gumigem necklace yesterday so should be here early next week I let you all know if it helps with teething.
Oh god she's eating my face

crowned, i'm just on the POP until the coil is fitted (in 3 weeks) so they can be super sure i'm not pg.

I too dont want to put T in his own room yet, he's looking a bit big for his crib. I think i'm too lazy to move him though.

I am broody too! (more missing the pregnancy and excitment of labour part. Plus I hate the thought that once T stops doing something (like the curled up newborn thing) that's my last chance to see it. OH doesnt want another one ever i don't think. I'd like to wait at least 2-3 years anyway so it's not something we need to chat about...yet...

I'm so broody it's unreal! I would love another but would have to convince OH first because he only wants two. I'm sure I can persuade him somehow ... Ideally I would like to start TTC in 2 years so there would be a 3 year gap between T and the baby and S would be at school

Missy - welcome home, glad you had a good time

l&l - really interested in those necklaces so can't wait for you to try it

glow - glad your results were all clear

I'm off to Asda in a bit then I must shave one of my legs! I had a bath yesterday when T was asleep and managed to shave one leg but he woke up before I had a chance to do the other :haha:

Think its really normal for LOs to sleep thru then pick up a feed again, and then drop it again, or just to start waking randomly for comfort, etc. Its especially common between 3-5 months sort of time as there is a lot of development changes and aslo as feeds tend to space out more if they are beng lazy in the day sometimes they get hungry at night, or their tummies get bigger and they just need filling more often etc. Roh sttn from 7 weeks to 4 1/2 months every night and then started waking at about 2-3am again suddenly for a feed. That went on until about 5 1/2 months or so when he was on a couple of meals and gaining weight well, so I stopped feeding andf gave him his dummy instead. Some nights it worked some not  'most' babies want a night feed at some point in the night up to 8 months or so. Basically until they start properly eating. My neice was still having a bottle in the night at 2 most nights. it really varies.

Missy, welcome home! :)

Well done N! goo sleeping! And Waula, I "double" feed F before bed. Sometimes she does 7-1! :haha: She's a rubbish sleeper, such a greedy girl!

Gaah interrupted, no idea what I was going to say now! :( I still feel shocking!

Emera, are you getting any real food to stay put?

Missy, welcome back!

I think I've solved another corner of the green poo mystery. Yesterday I did everything the same only had a glass of orange juice and a glass of lemonade... and there was a big green poo last night. Over the past week or so I've eaten small quantities of oranges and have had slightly green poos (I mean, she has :haha: )... I've heard of sensitivity to citrus, so... add that to the list, I guess.

Ha! Loo - yes, got a bottle earmarked for tomorrow...and the cheesecake looks immense. Can't wait!

Emera - fingers crossed double feeding works again for us tonight!!! Bless F for being such a greedy guts!!! How much is she weighing in at now (!)? She looks like such a little cutie on FB x

Interesting post FT about c-sec recovery and getting preggers again...I read it that it advises 18-23months before you start to try rather than 18-23month gap between LO's...which seems quite a long time :haha: not that it bothers us too much just yet...the NTNP is def more NT at the minute! Ha

Cuppie - hows the cake going??! Hope you're having a nap x

Hope Z and D are coping with the post-jab blues xx

I always thought they advised a year between babies though never really thought if it was a year before getting pregnant or a years age gap just assumed it was a year before falling pregnant. i know a lot of people why have fallen pregnant straight after or waited very little and everything was fine.

I still get pains in my lower belly though since the op so wouldn't want to fall pregnant just yet.

Emera is your DH still off work? I'm hoping your still taking it easy.

Sambles i shall let you how we get on with the necklace

City at least your narrowing it down!

It's too dang hot! It's supposed to be 100f today (That's 38c). Eliott, the dogs and I are hiding in our bedroom, the only room air conditioned. We had to take our walk at 9:30am and it was still really hot.

We're planning on keeping E in our room at least through the summer so we don't have to get another air conditioner.

What's good for food porn today?

Hi all,

Welcome back missy! Hope you had a lovely time, can't wait for our holiday on Sunday!

L&L - like sambles Id love to know how you get on with the necklace.

Mouse - does that mean you can reintroduce anything else and cut out citrus? Z's poos havent changed at all since givi up dairy (and I'm a day short of 2 weeks now). He's sleeping better but not convinced that's why, the test will be after trying Waula's cheesecake tomorrow!

Z seems ok after his jabs, 2 in one leg but he only cried a bit then stopped when I fed him. Have given one dose of calpol (I wasn't happy enough to try arnica) and I think I'll give the second dose tonight just in case. He does seem a bit warmer.

He's been feeding crap all day though, even before jabs. Just having a little suck, looking round, pulling off and not really feeding. I hardly think he's had anything today. Not sure why? He's been happy enough in between.

Went to the Trafford centre for a walk round as I had the car and blew my tyre coming off the motorway by hitting a rock I think. Fortunately it's a company car and with rac so they came in 20 minutes and at least I'd limped along to the car park so could look round the shops. But which idiot decided cars no longer need a spare tyre?? He had to take my wheel away to sort. I can now recommend the John lewis cafe for feeding, way better than m&s, they took pity on me looking harassed and brought everything over, even poured my tea out!! That'll teach me to try and have a nice afternoon! I only really went cos its raining and I wanted to get out so he could have a good sleep!

I also spoke to a taxi driver in the car park - mscrow I was right about not needing a car seat so shall we share a cab tomorrow? It's about £7 he said then maybe loo/glow can drop us back with one spare car seat as I'll bring mine? My train will get there about 12.16 so meet you by the ticket office?

kymied, had honey dijon chicken wrapped in bacon and cheddar for dinner last night, along with broccoli rice and corn on the cob. No ideas for today though...
