I do t know if it's e same for everyone but my breasts lost that huge feeling after about 3-4 days and now thy go soft after a feed and don't go hard gain until she's ready to feed again. Unless of course she's feeding all night at which point they take on massive proportions again!

Just a quickie...will try and catch up with everyone later we are home...had loads of visitors and feeling a bit knackered now Jacob is being awesome so far! he seems very chilled...maybe we are being led into a false sense of security

Yes, Cupcake your milk supply will regulate after about 3-5 days and the boobs will chill the heck out and stop posing as rocks! They'll only get big like that again when it comes to the point of babber dropping a feed, and then not for so long

Can't believe people are DTD already! I briefly mentioned my re-damaged tear to OH, and he was like "Ouch" and that was it. I think we are never having again!!!

Well, after a bit of effort, i've managed to get both children in bed asleep within 30 minutes of eachother! OH and i have actually sat and had dinner together, bonus I'm now sitting comfy making thankyou cards

I cant believe Mia is 2 weeks old tomorrow...this time 2 weeks ago i was in delivery suite getting ready to meet my little girl

Must get out and about with Mia tomorrow...hubbys last day off work. My parents are homebodies so havent been out and about much....sainsburys and local pub today and thats it....dont suppose Mia minds much. Might do Virginia water tomorrow

Ooh another question......Mia has slept for 2.5hours and is looking likely to do a similar stretch before bed...at this age it wont affect her sleeping lots tonight??! Surely those patterns dont develop at this age? She is definately more interactive, on playgym during day...cant force her to stay awake ha ha

mitch, my midwife said that no matter how much little babies sleep during the day it doesnt affect how much they sleep at night.

Thanks cupcake...i did wonder if that was the case....to be fair i am sure we are all hoping that our little ones will eventually go down at 7pm ish..maybe she is gearing up to that. I am not complaining...its nice to have some time with hubby

i tend to keep R with me until i go to bed at the mo, although that is pretty early! im feeding him now and typing one handed!

Mias with us downstairs in carrycot usually....head up to bed and her in moses basket around 10-10:30pm for final feed and change

Way to go Ted!

Today has been exhausting. Baby P has been particularly restless. He'll nod off for about 10-15 minutes and then wake up. He keeps wanting to feed, but then he falls asleep on the boob. When I try to burp him, he cries. And after he's burped, his cries turn to screams until I get him back to the boob. Total, he's napped maybe an hour and a half all day long! My only consolation is knowing that he'll probably crash tonight. Wonder if Baby K will cooperate. (he's napped longer today, but still not a lot).

I just realized there are only 15 days until I return to work. It will be part time from home, but it still stresses me out and makes me sad. Full time work starts in 45 days.

Oh WT...i forgot you dont get much time off for mat leave over there ...seems very soon ....what are you doing about childcare when you go back

WT - sounds tough. I too had forgotten about the short maternity leave. At least you get to go part time for a bit!

My right boob is still bigger than the left. I was hoping they would have evened out, but nope. Nursing bras are on buy one get one half price at mothercare though.

Trying to keep D awake to finish her feed, but she's having none of it. Come on girl, fill your belly for a good nights sleep!!!
