March Mamas 2012 Baby Group (Closed Group)

was thinking of you and your friends family yesterday FT :hugs:
I'm glad G's weight sorted it's self out.

Missy glad your feeling better, sorry about the awful night though!

Missy- When I started feeling bad, I immediately thought it sounded like whatever you were dealing with. Weird since you're a bit too far away to have infected me. ;)

FT- Glad G is doing so well. As for the diet.... don't worry about it. IMO, the only way to be truly successful with weight loss, is to make room for life events to get in the way every now and then. I'm sure you'll be right back on track next week. :hugs:

Mitch- I think the little cries they do in their sleep are hilarious. Like they're just checking to make sure they're still able to make the noise even though they're perfectly okay. :haha:

Well my little girly loves her sleep.....like O l&l she is definately going shorter stretches between them...just put her down...hoping its only a 20 min power nap

Need to.get her down on time tonight to get dinner....get on my one hour collehe conference call and a soak.in.bath...feeling achey.today

Hi lads,
Sorry to WT and Missy for feeling crap and huge :hugs: to all mamas suffering from regressing babies!
Daytime naps, all over the place at this end-used to be a very easy 3hr routine and it gone out of the window... He now eats when he's hungry and sleeps when he's tired!!! And he's loving naps in his pram at the minute...or the baby sheepskin rug! Cute!
FT nice to have you back, too many funerals on your end...:hugs:
Loo Vicks on balls???! Yowch. and 4 months is totally doable. All the best people get married in November!!!! :winkwink:
N done three nights in a row of 7-1.30-7  long may that last!
Had him weighed today, 16lb 10 but HV said to feed him more as he's slipping off the 75th curve. I'm not a fan of HV. Knobs.
Glad you liked baby sensory missy! We had messy play with jelly at ours this morning. Sticky.
Xx

Omg Waula ignore your HV, what a knobend!!! Seriously, doesn't anyone tell them that babies don't do things in straight lines? :dohh:

waula - pah! surely N feeds wjen he wants to feed... i shall repeat u and emera...... hv is a knob.

well ive just purchased the jillian anderson 30 day shred workout dvd...... oh lordy.

omg! u all remember struth who sadly had a MC wen we were all in early pregnancy..... well her little man decided to make an early entrance to the world!

https://babyandbump.momtastic.com/pregnancy-journals/873746-growing-blue-bump-42.html

CONGRATS STRUTH!!! XXXX

O is still asleep from her third nap, she's slept 6.5 hours today so far  i hope it doesn't make tonight to bad. She's drinking loads as well so maybe it's a growth spurt?

waula I've come to the conclusion that a lot of HV's read from a text book that was written about one 'perfect' baby and they believe all other babies must follow this! i take some of what they say with a pinch of salt and ignore the rest.

Completely agree, she also suggested formula dream feed to up his calories if he slips any further. FFS. Fool. Good job I've got some confidence about BFing now.
Awesome news for struth!!!!! Yay!
FT I'm a huge fan of exercise videos! Defo still got separated abs here so enjoying the excuse!!! Ha!

OH CRAP i was meant to ask the HV about my abs. boo.

mmmmm. well if they ARE still seperated then the damage is prob done via zumba already..... gah.

Morning sleepy lads.

I'm so pig sick jealous that of the mamas whose babies have naps. My days are spent holding D. Occasionally she will let me put her down whilst sleeping but it never lasts more than 10 mins. She will nap in my arms, but if I try to shift her so I am more comfortable, that's the end of it.

The exception to this was of course the epic 2+ hour nap that she has only once in her life achieved. When Waula, Lozza, Glow, MsC, N, Z, J and E were all there to witness it

I've got a massive head cold. I've been snotty for 3 days, but today I'm all achey and feel like I've been run overbuy a truck. Fun. Fx D fancies a duvet day. Fat chance.

WT, we are considering November 20th which is the anniversary of when we started going out. I'm just not sure if that's a little soon only bring 4 months off. Al thinks its ok  Definitely maybe a destination wedding or possibly eloping. Possibly  any ideas for a destination wedding/eloping with an 8 month old?
I have seen this for potential eloping https://www.millbrookestate.co.uk/runawaywedding.html but Al is all over Vagas which could be fun.....but can you take a baby to the desert? Specially Vagas? I like the idea of a beach wedding. Sand between my toes type thing. Did anyone have one? Ideas please!

Loo - 4 months amazing - DO IT - VEGAS IS AMAZING :happydance::happydance:

Waula - sounds like HV is talking crap, you've been saying you don't know why N is big when you and DH aren't so maybe he's finally normalising where he should be. The GP said they only get concerned if you cross 2 lines.
Also you're right about November - 21st is our anniversary!

Loo - the carribean holidays I've seen when I've been on holiday seem a bit conveyor belt like, literally each couple parades through one after the other with a quick change of flowers, and you get all the other holiday makers in bikinis watching! That and you might melt in a dress! I also always think what if it rains! You go all that way and the weather is still crap, at least you expect that here! Plus going abroad limits the march mamas attendance :haha:

We had a 5 hour stretch last night at last, hooray! But in total 8 hrs sleep all night and 2.5 hrs today. Not enough!

Loo, Vegas in November would be pretty nice. There's a lot of smoke indoors at the casinos but you can't take a baby to the casino floor anyway. If I were you I'd actually consider staying at a nicer condo-style place a little ways outside of town... Same weather, less crowded, etc.

Vegas weddings are fun! My friend had Elvis walk her down the aisle. And my other friend got married at a drive-through.

I like short engagements myself! Wedding planning is fun but it's a total pain.

WT, glad you're feeling better!

Sorry for all the rough nights, lads.

I think G's problem yesterday was gas. She finally worked out a few trumps and a poo dipe and then was much calmer and finally fell asleep.

No more broccoli for me, seriously!

Oh, but Vegas would be cool!

Ft - nice to have you back, sounds like a rough week :hugs:
Wt- hope you feel better soon, likewise missy & Emera!

However, all that being said, US thanksgiving is on the 22nd so travel might be a bit of a nightmare. The busiest travel day of the year here is the day before Thanksgiving.

Loo - OH says Jamaica is beautiful in November. No rain!

Crap, F fell asleep at 5pm after staying awake all afternoon, went to meltdown again, so I let her go to sleep, it was that or disaster I think! Anyway, she's still asleep now! I've no clue what this means for our night?!?

I gave Roh his dinner at his little table as it wasn't messy and went to get him a drink. When I got back he was under his table with his plate! I told him to get up and sit properly and he refused, so I sat with him and asked him what he was doing, his reply, "hiding food from birds. Birds come take food, no!" :haha: Stupid seagull has mentally scarred my child!! Bloody thing!

Oh no. poor lado!

Loof I have no idea abouto weddings but I agree about Caribbean weddings sometimes being a but weird. I was topless at one!

My boob hurts. T has refused it tonight and it was already engorged. Ow.

Just made spicy vegetables with pasta in a cheesy sauce. Proper lush.

we need more details about topless wedding events Missy!!!!!
