March Mamas 2012 Baby Group (Closed Group)

WAULA - so i know it hurts, but did you enjoy the shred? lol :haha:

mitch - my hair still falls out in chunks. good job ive got so much darn hair. ps. yup you shred everyday for 30days (10 days level1, 10days level2, 10days level 3 and then u move into doing it 3 times a week to maintain fitness..... GAH.)

cuppie - u mean the instructor put on weight 6lbs? if so i would think thats muscle as she is HARD. if not, if you do the shred every day and still put on 6lbs then MAN YOU MUST EAT!!! (but i suspect its muscle)

WT - cant beleieve you workout and have twins. superwomen much?

rashy mousey - shred and find out if im exaggerating :haha:

missy - cant wait to see the pic :happydance:

well G went to bed at 8pm as i changed his routine today! YAY! lets hope works again tomo.

BTW lads, he is asleep on his front. anyone elses LO's do this now? I know a few babies at babyclub too and i assume its fine as he can lift head..... i take comfort in the fact that we all slept on our fronts. But i bet i will be looking at the monitor tonight ALOT.

N still sleeps on his back/side FT - where do G's legs go when he's on his front??! Straight out or tucked up? I think N would like it!!!
PS I did like the shred I think in an odd way. She's very motivational. Just when its needed.
Oh god. This midwife thing is hideous. I'm balling my eyes out. Someone just been in labour 30hrs with back to back and she's been offered a c-sec...still don't really get why I had to fight so much to get mine. Still bothers me.

I'm still balding! Gross!

Waula we have the same problem with F, she just crashes too fast after the bath and then wakes yup an hour later all hungry and unhappy :dohh:

I gave her 6oz of ebm this evening and then she did another 5mins on the boob! she looked sleepy after, so put her down and she went off lovely and is still asleep, so that's a good sign. If she goes a bit better tonight then I think I'll give her a bottle every evening. It means expressing everyday, but assuming she sleeps then I can do it easy enough in the evening.
Actually I'm considering stopping demand feeding and getting a routine sorted with feeding and napping, as I think at this age F will benefit. Just need to spend a bit of time working out what's best.
I was going to have a bath, but OH turned the hot water off! :(

Bah, I'd planned to do better replying, but its all gone out of my head

So tired, just going to flop in bed now I've expressed and watched the good bits of the "Limpicts".

wula - straight out....... lol

who was it earlier - was it nic? - that said they are feeling peeky alot... a bit sicky.... i am too  quite often. I cant be pregnant tho as the few times weve done it weve been protected. just feel a bit off. odd.

DH is eating popcorn REALLY loud. Gah.

oh and I'm totally the same...really REALLY nauseous. I've tested. I'm not preggers but its ODD. I'm never sicky.
oh god watching this midwife program makes me want to do it all again...broody!!!

Mouse - is it bad that yes, you're right, I am a teeny bit pleased :haha:

Cupcake - thanks for that, a 6lb gain is all I need to hear to not do it! :haha:

Ft - z sleeps on his front and has done for a few weeks. He sleeps with his knees tucked up under him, bum in air! Seems to stretch out later on.i know he's safe like that now but the first night I did keep checking him!

Emera - z had 7oz of ebm tonight too and still fed after! He was awake from 2-8 and finally crashed at half 8. Fingers crossed te inlaws dont wake him when they come in tonight!!

Waula....bit worried about a fringe now...hairloss has slowed but concerned a fringe may show up the baldiness. Saying that...i had soooo much hair and retained loads during pregnancy that i hope it will stabilise back to normal hmmmm. My hair has a natural wave and i generally run straighteners through it which i obviously havent done as much since M was born...ponytail is my friend:haha:. I suppose i could always just straighten the fringe bit......classy!!!

Ft...what time was G going to bed? Was it later than 8? I am letting M stick with her 6:30pm and see what happens. I know that i will have to push that later when i go back to work ut will see what it looks like towards the end of the year before changing i guess

Right bed for me...night ladies x x

mitch - yup he wasnt settling most nights till 9pm. But 8pm would be lovely to stick to. not too early and not too late. so fingers crossed! night hun x

ah waula - maybe its a post preggo thing then  LOLat u being broody.... i am everytime i see a pregnant lady! miss it.

my hair is still falling out in huge clumps, im sure im going bald! i don't it at all.

ft - not the instructor just some lady who did the 30 day shred.

agree with lozza "best we don't do it" lol!!

night all x

Waula, it might be worth contacting your hospital and asking if they do a birth afterthoughts service. You should contact either the supervisor of midwives or PALS. They are excellent. Ft, you might benefit too... They would sit down with your notes and talk you through what happened and why. I'm considering it.

Mitch, I just bung my hair up and straighten the fringe. It's fine... My hair is super curly

T often turns to sleep on his tummy now and I've discovered in the day he drops off super fast on his tummy.

Oh! Today he was in his bouncy chair while we ate dinner and I looked down and he had done a sit up and was leaning forward biting his own toes... Might have to rethink the bouncy chair...

I just do a bun... every day... with this thing: https://images.lasoomedia1.com.au/i...026/scunci_expandable_ponytailer_0050a360.jpg

On hair loss, I read all you're losing is what you didn't lose while you were pregnant so although it looks worse now, it works our the same. I'm still shedding loads but always gave done, my hair's really thick!

My hair is so think too, I haven' noticed any changes.

Keira seems to keep trying to sit up on her own lately but only if she is already supported. This generally ends in her folding over and landing on her face if I don't push her back but she can manage a good while with just minimal back support. Why do I feel sad that she is already trying to sit? :(

Hey lads

Glad Loo popped on. I came home on Monday but had a meeting to go straight to and was so exhausted, went to bed. Yesterday I drifted but not near a computer. Dad is making a recovery now, a slow one, one where I've had to bully him about food and drink (he abstains in hospital as a protest) but at least I had the opportunity to. I don't ever want to repeat the last 10 days. Poor mum, she rang me in tears last night as dad's cat died when she got home. He was old and we knew it was imminent but really, she's had enough. Nicnak, I really appreciate what you said. If I dare to go back there in my head where the emotions are, I'll take you up on your offer. Thanks for listening to me.

Emera, since the 4 month sleep regression, E has been back to waking at our bedtime for a feed. Other than that, and I don't know how to knock it on the head, we have a 'schedule' of sorts, feeds around 4am, 6am, 9.30am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm. If you get F on a routine, what are you thinking of doing?

Waula, you made me LOL with the shred. You're all dedicated women and I salute you.

Mouse, love that you will have your sister as a nanny, that must be very comforting.

Hair, yeah, still shedding it. Everywhere. I am so over picking it off E all the time.

Lilypadz, I meant to come back and post about them. Missy, I had a pair stowed away and totally forgot about them. Great idea and no thrush but I get what you mean. They were useful as an emergency to use for a few days but a faff - where to put one when you're feeding? And they look stangely pornographic thanks to the squashed down nipple. Cost wise, they're pricey as they're about £4 more for 2 months use that disposables, but at least they don't produce the mountain of thrown out pads and packaging. I hate the fact they are individually wrapped. Gah.

great to hear from MsC and great your dad is on the mend. sorry to hear about the cat, its sad enough anyway but your poor mum must have been exhausted by it all

do you mean disposeables are individually wrapped? must depend on the brand because i buy johnsons and they come stacked in what looks like a tissue box with a perforated opening.

R is very squeaking this morn. he is now rolling around madly on the floor and wrestling with the play gym. i think he might be outgrowing it because everytime now he ends up rolling and dragging it with him!

Missy - im not very good at talking about stuff :nope: DH hates it when im upset because i shut shop. im ok with everything that happened as long as i do not think about it. As a psych student, i know that this is the worst sort of thing to do! ... but i do it anyway.

Rashy - my hair is nearly always in a bun unless im out socialising :haha: makes no differencer tho... G just grabs the root of my hair... and it STILL falls out. Its like we own a malting dog!

skadi - G does that too, he strains his tummy muscles to pull himself up and then face plants it. Dont worry hunni its all normal for their ages... will still prob be a while.

did i mention the HVs were telling me that 6months is generally when a baby can sit up when supported... its 8months without support....generally? of course some are earlier/later. Cant remember if i said.

MsC - so glad to hear from you.... i hope your managing to rest / sleep in the middle of everything your doing for other people..... :hugs: I hope your dad continues to improve steadily... but im sorry about the cat :( It time you and your family had some good news!

Shredders- im shredding tonight as DH wants a workout session :) He is pretty fit and even he finds it a challenge when done properly... makes me feel better :haha: im on day 9 now.... i think :haha: Dreading level 2.

well G skipped his morning lay in even though was exhausted! just couldnt get him back to sleep after i sneezed and woke him at 8am :haha: so im sure he will burn out soon.... esp as hes in his jumperoo :haha:

no plans for today.... maybe some internet shopping....

Hi all...lazy day for me too...no plans. Might pop into Camberley and pick up the knackered negative film and two photos from Jessops:cry:

Did shred this morning...alot easier but weights are far to big i think...esp when i see the tiny things they are using on screen!!!! Might pick some up from argos today. Oooh and if M falls asleep during walk around town i might pop into nail bar to get a pedicure.

I am putting M more on her tummy during the day...she quite likes it...i put toys just out of reach and see if she tries to grab and stretch. Also i sit her up on the floor alot more.....i still sit her up alot on my lap or on sofa with me but i thought the floor might be more level to help with unaided sitting up. I only use a couple of fingers now to steady her....she pretty good.

Waiting for M to wake from second nap of day....any moment now. However yesterday she sleep 2 x 1.5 hour naps (plus the usual back to bed one for 45 min at 8:15)...we will see what today brings

Ooooh movement

your doing ACE mitch - after the first day of shred my body K.I.L.L.E.D - and i thought i was fairly fit from all my dancing hahaha. infact, my legs still ache the next day after every session haha

just went to tesco and a lady asked if G was my baby brother LOL LOL...Made my day!!!

right off to feed him then settle him for morning nap.

enjoy your pedicure mitch! x

Ladies, for all those of you who combi feed do you just buy the ready made cartons of formula or do you buy a tin? I'm thinking of giving T a couple of bottles a day but wasn't sure what to buy? S never took a bottle and because of that and his dairy allergy he never had formula so I've got no idea where to start
