March Mamas 2012 Baby Group (Closed Group)

Hubby home:happydance::happydance:...just passed M to him and i am making some dinner.... well when i say 'making' dinner..that involves popping the curry that hubby bought in the oven:haha:. Need to plan better and take the frozen stuff out of freezer in the morning.....mmmmm thats the plan for tomorrow.

Feeling very tired and happy to have hubby home for some adult company:happydance:

Waula to be fair looking after a newborn is, if not a breeze, then pretty simple the second time round :) all the stuff you guys are working out now stays in your head, so this time its like, hmm crying baby...its either hungry, pooey, windy, sleepy or wants a cuddle. its still Roh who takes up most my time and effort, especially as he's cutting his 2 year molars, nice timing! :dohh:
Despite feelng a bit ragged, I couldn't be happier though, brilliant! :D

Mitch and cupcake - thanks for advice on expressing :hugs: think i will wait a
bit :)

cupcake - your weight loss is EXACTLY what i have left to go (incl the extra weight bit); maybe we could spur eachother on :hugs:

missy - well done on weight loss hunni, post pics to spur me on :haha: ps. lazy old FT is now in love too :winkwink:

emera - your like supermum :hugs:

lozza- night time feeds....yuk! lol

so how many visitors are u guys getting? MIL and FIL hv ''popped in'' pretty much every other day. although i dont ave to do anything when people are here... its draining. They are downstairs right now and im in bedroom (about to have a nap before tonights session).

also  i just had another bloody good cry. i guess it is just baby blues seen as i have nothing to cry about :( hope it passes soon.

Hey ladies! I found the new thread woo hoo it looks great! Please please can I join?
Congratulations to you all. I slowly trying to read through your 70...odd pages! you guys are still mad posters.
We had our son Seth Sunday 19th Feb (12 days early) 8lb 4oz
.. mad labour.. arrived at hospital 5cm dilated after my waters and plug went at home. I got to 8cm dilated by 10.30am , 10cm by 12.00 and spent 45 mins pushing and then doc did an internal and said Seth's head was in such an awkward position he wasn't coming out without assistance .. I'd only had gas and air to get to ten cm and was so so dissapointed.
They prep'd me for theatre with epidural for a ventouse or forceps delivery but then said I had to have an emergency C section in theatre as it would result in so much damage downstairs and my temperature had rocketed and Seth's heartbeat dropped :0(
so birth was not how I planned it at all and it was a major shock to the system.but motherhood is fab, learning something new is fun ..if challenging.Looking forward to catching up on everyones stories and getting (!!) and sharing tips and advice Looley XXX

so im in bed.... DH just had to bring baby up crying wanting a feed.... surerly most visitors would LEAVE? nope. :nope:

least i have a HOT cup of tea. would trade it for a wine. lol.

Guess I belong here now... Can't catch up at the moment, but baby g is fabulous!

Congrats! :flower:

Ugh OH is picking up SIL on his way home from work... of which I was just notified right now. There goes the long bath I was looking forward to... and sleeping tonight as Keira will be wondering where the warm arms have gone during sleep time! I guess I shouldn't complain as she is the only one who has shown interest from his side of the family... it's just so frustrating and I strangely feel a little jealous/nervous when anyone other than OH, my immediate family or myself hold her. :dohh:

skadi - i hear ya, my MIL/FIL are STILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL downstairs...... :grr: GO HOME!!!!!!!! and i can hear george grizzling :nope:

Ft - I've had the mil here since Sunday, she goes tomorrow night I think And then we get a day To ourselves before my little sis visits. Looking forward to seeing her though but also feel a bit like DH and I have missed our chance for a baby moon, just the 2 of us and Z.

Are they moving in FT? lol Yikes!

ps never thought i'd be so happy to hear an enormous burp...this infacol makes them massive!!!

EDIT: MUMMYMOUSE!!! Yay!!! :baby: so excited for you. Enjoy!!! xxx

Proper welcome mousey .

Waula ... I was just thinking I've never been so happy forr someone to burp spit all over my boobs.

Ft, my parents did that a couple of times . They were trying to help but i just wanted an empty house. Frustrating .

Is there a better feeling than cuddling your full up newborn all snuggled and scrunched up in your arms? If there is then i will eat my own pants.

Congratulations Mousy!!! So happy for you :)

FT - i feel the same with visitors. DH's mom came to visit us today and we've already got plans to visit everyone for easter on sunday. Plus having to see my family on Saturday. It's just so much when all I wanna do is sleep. I feel like we have to plan our visits around the baby's feeding schedule too, otherwise everyone wants to be around me while i'm breastfeeding. I don't mind my mom being around when i'm BFing but all of DH's family bothers me.

Be firm with your visitors lads!! Schedule days off in between and tell people you have other guests that day. Do what you need to retain sanity! Also when you and your babber go off for a nap, get OH in on it and dong all the "yawn I was up all night too could use some sleep, mind if we head to bed now, lovely to have seen you" type thing.
If in doubt over feed your babber without wnding and then hand them to the undesired guest. Vom or screaming is boun to happen, giving the hin to leave! ;)

Mmm i have a right grumpy pants tonight. Wish me luck. Hubby just changing her betwen boobs before she goes down...can hear her quivering lower lip cries from the other room

Night ladies x x x good night wishes to.all

Lol! Keira is hilarious, she started fussing which led to screaming as soon as SIL picked her up. I took her back and she quieted down and started smiling up at me. The thing is she usually doesn't mind other people holding her. She must have heard me grumbling about this visit. Oops!

SIL kept telling me " oh I think she is hungry". No.. She just ate. "Oh I thin she is tired" ... As her eyes are wide open and not showing any sleepy signs. So irritating. Why do people insist on telling mom what their own baby wants.
