March Mamas 2012 Baby Group (Closed Group)

DH did try and settle him first, and try with a bottle but he didn't take it, hope it doesn't mean he's stopped taking one, not what I want when teeth are starting to put in an appearance!

Mitch hope the change of tactic works for you!

Good idea of pizza dough dibbers...
And pie porn is the best food porn ever.
Big hugs Mitch - I think you're really doing a great job with M... Blw is not very common, none of my Nct ladies do it. They think I'm mad for the mess.
Thanks for ideas on tea times... Going to try it earlier xxx

I'm sure he'll take one Lozza!!!!! Eeep! I got a nip yesterday. Yowch! X

Lozza, teething can make them fussy with bottles, and breastfeeding too for that matter, its generally temporary xx

Well all good so far...a nice 'big' lunch consumed about 1:45 after her nap....she had about 2oz of savoury and 1.5oz of sweet ish.....just taken another 3oz feed around 3:30 and down for a nap. Dinner i am making a bit smaller....a 2oz savoury and some finger food to play with/gum on :happydance:......hopefully then a good 7oz bottle before bed and all good.

Feel sooo much better today...she is a happy bunny x

You know what they say Mitch... Happy mummy happy baby...
I have NO idea how many oz N has of food/milk but I imagine it's not as much as I think. There's a hell of a lot of waste food (and vom lol!!!!) xxx

Ha Waula maybe we should weigh the food and weigh the waste! Not sure my scales would be accurate for the minute amount he probably actually swallows!! Left over beef goulash for lunch today with a couple of green beans, a slice of cheese, bit of my bread (really nice stuff from the bakers with herbs and I think quite salty) and some mango which definitely got swallowed. All followed up with a feed that resulted in a huge poo. A 5 wiper.

:haha::haha: i love it Lozza....a 5 wiper...soooo true. For poops i.generally use 2...anything over that is classed as a big.dump by M :haha:. We had a 3 wiper today....

Thank waula...i must say i.feel relaxed today...sod blw (ha ha no offence but my M is just a laxy lazy slugette in more ways than one). Day over...M in bed and guess how many ozs she had???!!! Yep exactly 19oz of milk....its like she knew!!! She hoofed down the last bottle in a single go...7oz so i.could probably afford a bit.more dinner but gonna let it pan out for a few days and see what happens. Fingers crossed.she sleeps through still. So i am making up tomorrow one 7oz....2 x 4oz for daytime and a 7oz for bedtime so theres a few ozs extra.

Sorry to bore you all with formula talk...you must think i.am a bloody controlling nightmare....which.i.probably am but.i.want to make sure she gets enough and not.too much.....happy mummy = happy bubba here x x

Poo in the bath. Squeezed under the duck bath splats and chunks of baby corn everywhere. I thought I'd fish it out but it disintegrated into tinier bits. I thought I'd pull the plug and use the shower. N had an absolute shitfit. I don't think there's poo on him but the bath splats are a mess. Bleurghhhhhh. And it's started to really smell bad. Yuk yuk yuk. It's his third poo of the day which is a lot for an every other day kinda lad.
A five wiper???!?!? :haha: brilliant. And a moving target. How do you do it Lozza!
Trying a new arrangement of night nappie tonight...struggling to go leak free with bamboo boosted/wrap so got some boosters for the close pop ins. Fingers crossed or I'll be doing sposies at night til he stops with the 2-3 feeds a night.
Mitch glad all is well in the Mitch house. Suppose sometimes I wish I knew how much N had eaten so when he claims he's starving at 3am I'd know wether to believe him (!) but I think it's def poss to over feed with milk (NCT girl had a 24lb 4month old because every time he cried he got 8oz bottles...and he cried a lot) so you're not controlling at all, you're just wanting the best for M. I think N is a bit like G-unit and has more frequent smaller meals, if I express he's had enough at 3/4oz. He once took 5oz. I've no doubt she'll sleep through as always xxx

Waula, A is the same - lots of smaller feeds, as I've never seen her take more than 4 oz in a bottle. Of course, she's bf, so I have no idea really what she gets. She's growing really well though - not too big and not too small and stayed right on the 50% line, so I guess all is well there. So sorry about the poo in the bath - that's one of my nightmares. I don't even know how to clean it or get rid of it all if it were to happen. Maybe Emera has some tips???

Look at all the chatter!

Gross for the big poos and bath poos and poos dumped on heads.

Things are fine here. But from reading your posts, I get the idea that my boys are milk/food whores. They are still consuming 25+ ounces of milk per day plus 4 ounces of food at each of their 3 meals. :munch:

Mouse- I'm not sure where we'll move... California has definitely been floated among the possibilities since we love it there and my family lives in San Fran. But it's more likely that we'll stay east. Jobs will be the ultimate decider...

Crowned...emera dunks her LO in the bath already.covered in poo.....and not even her own h:haha:

Waula....eeeewwww poopy bath...hope you werent planning a nice soak hee hee

M has always taken larger but less frequent feeds....little piggy!!!

WT...your boys are eating alot but they look great...not too big and are thriving x x

Just.told my.mum that we would like to.go.and spend Christmas day with them and she was sooo chuffed...made me a bit teary. Been a while since we have....what with wanting to spend our first just.the two.of ys...hubbys bro and sil coming over from SA etc etc. Excited now....and planning.to make the Christmas cake next week :happydance:

I'm actually getting excited about Christmas! It's been a while because while I love it, it was always a bit of a let down and not as magic as I'd imagined. Can't wait to have it with A though. Stockings and letters to Fathe rChristmas and everything!

Waula, poo bath!

Lozza the square baby is now a cube. And keeps getting chest infections as he's so big his mucocilliary escalator in his throat isn't working efficiently. Bit sad really. :nope: I think its made all the rest of us hyper-aware of extreme big babies and overfeeding...

Hi lads, still reading and running I'm afraid. Waula......Jacob did a big poo in the bath on Tuesday night, first time ever! Not helped by the fact Hayley took a picture of the floater!!! Poor lad, just wait till he's 18 :-0

I love that i'm automatically the lad to ask about cleaning poo off of things! :haha:

I blast stuff under the shower and then spray/wipe it over with dettol anti-bac stuff. If its a child i stick them under the shower, if its carpet, i scrap as much of the solid :)sick: jeez) off first and then scrub it with dettol and hot water, then soak as much as possible up into an old towel (by stamping on it) and then scrub it again.

My life is quite fun.....
