Struggling with a name for our son who is due in October.

Currently thinking of

Matthew Joseph or Oliver Joseph

Would MJ (michael jackson) and OJ (orange juice) be silly initials?

Im not persoanlly huge on either but I would go for Oliver as every Matthew ive ever met has bullied me

I really like them both! I would go for Matthew but I dont think you can go wrong with either name. And MJ and OJ are fine :)

Oliver Jospeh is EXACTLY the name that our baby would have been called had she been a he....I love it! It's a strong name and can be understood in most languages (may not be an issue for you but I live abroad so it was an important factor) - and I like Oliver when shortened to Ollie too.

I like both but Matthew is less common at the moment, if that is an issue for you.
I really like MJ as initials/nn. OJ isn't going to be an issue but I wouldn't call him by it iykwim.

Matthew is less common but I like both.

Both lovely but I prefer Oliver , both could be shortened to Matt or Oli again which are both lovely
Xxx

I hate hate Matthew. Oliver is nice, though common. Love Joseph. Would Joseph Oliver be an option? I don't like either initial nicknames, but I always hate initial nicknames.

Matthew...strong, classic name. It's pretty common in the states, a lot were born in the early 80's x

I like Matthew better. It's a stronger name and think it works better on a grown man the Oliver

I really like Oliver Joseph . Not really a fan of Matthew, not sure why , I guessmaybe because it is very common where we live - my son has three Matthew's in his class at school.
