Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

I hope the meds work Brandi :hugs:

OH is back at work today, I have survived an hour and a half so far, Dylan is being an angel :) Got to attempt to get some clothes on him soon, he is going through a "must be naked" phase :haha: Was going to take the kids out for a walk later, but the wind today is crazy, we'll all freeze!

Brandi I really hope the meds make her feel better super quick hun :hugs:

You feeling any better mummy? Georges poops are yellowy watery consistancy with like brownish grains in? He was doing a poop every feed, now he he seems to skip 1 or 2 poops??

I can no longer rely on George as my alarm clock lol School starts at 9am.. George woke us at 8.45am

Pmsl watching JK... some kid is going on I did this and that 'because I was so young at the time'... he only looks like a kid now

:haha: I'm watching JK too. How can people ever want to go on that show :dohh:

You just wouldnt would you? lol

I just had a call from school Joshua is apparently very quiet so they think he is poorly! He told me he had stomach ache last night, but he had been ok all day and I thought maybe as his brother has tummy ache he wanted it, then this morning I said get some breakfast and he said 'I still have tummy ache can I have crisps instead of cereal' so i was like yeah great tummy ache that is! have fruit and get ready for school. Now I got a decision, if I make him stay in school and he is unwell well thats not fair, if I go have a chat with him and bring him home and he is putting it on to take attention from his brother Im setting myself up for problems arghhhhhhh

Eek, I hope he's ok!

The CUTEST thing just happened, I was winding Bethany and Dylan came over and put his are around her like a gentle hug then very gently kissed her cheek :cloud9:

MW has just been, we have finally been discharged!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :happydance:

My little piggy is now 8lb 6oz!! :cloud9:

MW grumble alert! A community MW is coming today to do her heel prick and weight check. Just had a voicemail as I was on the phone, informing me that she didn't know how to get into the flat because I hadn't 'left instructions' so has gone and to call the community MW office number. Apparently the thought of pressing a 6 and a 4 and then the button with a bell on it (we live at 64) was too much for her to consider! She just called back and seemed very put out about the £2.20 she has needlesly paid for parking (there's no private parking here) and will come back. I like to think of it as 'idiot tax'. I've tried to talk her though the very complicated process of ringing our buzzer but can only hope! :dohh:

I'm waiting for my mw too span, if she bothers to turn up today?! xx

I'm gonna be scared to tell her I haven't had a poo yet as she sounds like a bit of a dragon.
I don't think it's far off - lactulose seems to be helping.

I found I didn't have my usual need a poo feeling, and still dobtvreally I just feel a tingling feeling in my lower back instead.... I'm still having horrible what I can only describe as pain up my bum and don't know why?! xx

Span - :dohh: Hopefully your MW can figure out how to buzz up this time :)

24/7 - I hope the MW actually turns up today

Well OH not being here is actually easier than him being here, Dylan is being wonderful and behaving so well, Bethany is being her usual happy self.

Some of the midwifes you ladies have sound like right idiots!

Wiggler- Glad Dylan is being better for you.

For the past couple of days Josh has been really unsettled. He's been awake from 8:30am until 12:30 am feeding every hour. Then he'll got to sleep for a few hours and then does the same in the afternoon until he goes to sleep for the night.

I don't know if this is a growth spurt or something? I don't know when babies tend to go through growth spurts.

Sounds like a growth spurt hun, he should get back to normal soon :hugs:

Well the mw has just been and she was actually really nice after all that! Megan has lost just under the 10% allowed but she's not worried as she's feeding so well and is a bigger baby. She's now 7.9lbs/3.59kg (was 3.9kg).
Next appointment is on saturday at post natal unit of the hospital.

Gonna have some lunch then go out for a little stroll - possibly with her in the wrap. :baby:

Looks like its not just the upstairs people who are crazy, the poeple in the house across the back from us have been walking around looking in and under cars, came into the communal enclosed area at the back of my flats and peeked into everyones gardens, then LISTENED into all of the sheds, good thing they didn't actually go into my garden, I would have been out on that balcony going mental at them, freaks!

You live next to some very strange people wiggler! Glad you've been discharged. Lol at Dylan, my little guy still isn't out of the naked phase, everytime we go out, if there's a toilet he goes in and strips off so quickly:haha:

Span:dohh: Haha idiot tax! I hope she manages to figure out the complicated buzzer and can help you with going for a #2, lactulose works just slowly.

New, I have very sore throat and a runny nose but stomach seems gone. Eldest is complaining of a sore throat now and even eilidh seems a bit warm. She slept 7 solid hours last night though:thumbup: I'd say better safe than sorry with Joshua and keep him off school, see how he does for the day at home and then decide if its an attention thing.

Brandi, glad you've got treatment for her, reflux is a hard thing to deal with:hugs: I get the same thing with names, Eilidh and Ruarid have such broad scottish names people here in Arizona dont know what to make of them

Heyy, not seen you about much, how are you and the twins?:hugs:

Only one full blown tantrum so far :happydance: I quickly stopped that by confiscating his blankie. 5 minks later he was giving me lots of hugs and kisses and being very nice so I gave his blankie back, bless him. The power of confiscation is amazing!

span glad your MW appt went well in the end!

24 - that pain you describe hasnt fully gone from me yet, but its much better these last 2 days. No idea what it is, probably from all the pressure and pushing. It sghouldstart feeling a bit better each day. Did the MW turn up? Did she help with Sams latching?

meow, sounds like this cluster feeding growth spurt thing. George has been on the breast every hour so far today but he is now playing catch up with his weight.

mummy hope you all start to feel better soon hun! Yay for the decent sleep though!

I went to the school to speak with joshua, told him he could come home if he was truthfully poorly, but they'd be no computers or park he'd have to rest, he decided he wanted to stay in school and would ring if he felt worse. picked him up end of school he said he feels totally better and ate loads of lunch lol... monkey!

OH cooked for me today. he ran me a hot bath, so I fed george and got in while he cooked, only I didnt realise I fell asleep george was crying because he's been feeding hourly and that was well up and dinner was almost ruined oops!! He didnt want to wake me said i must have needed it lol lunch was spot on though, george was happy when he got fed then we had a lovely rest of the afternoon both of us on one of OHs shoulders have snuggles :cloud9:

I am starting to wonder where some of these MW's come from?! A MW turned up today, not my usual one, and was absolutely shocking!! She asked about the BF, and I said we are struggling and he WON'T latch and I'm barely expressing a few drops now, and was able to do an ounce on friday - Her reply "Its your brain not working properly now" Hmm yes?! Then she was filling out the notes and said "I'll put you do five minutes of BF then top up with formula" I just said he won't latch and I'm struggling to express, so there is definately no 5 minutes of BF.... She wouldn't help with the latch as there isn't enough milk, and said I should think about expressing, which I had already said I am doing?! So basically a basically a big pile of poo!! The HV is visiting on wednesday now as we have been discharged from the MW as he is now an oz above his birth weight, so I am hoping she can assist in some way?! xx

Span I missed your post about mw having been, glad she was nice! Hope you enjoyed your walk with the wrap:flower:

Meow, does sound like the 2 week growth spurt, should pass in a day or 2:hugs:

New, sounds like you had an amazing day! Lol at Joshua:dohh:

We're getting there now kids and I have had painkillers, Eilidh just gave the biggest grin/giggle and I got a pic of it:cloud9::happydance:
