Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

For those that have/are formula feeding what are your babies poos like?

I think Josh's crying is related to pooing. His are yellowy brown but really runny and from what i've read seem like breast fed poos. They're not firm or paste like, like a formula fed baby should have.

Ouch blocked ducts sound so painful!! and there was me moaning about sore nipples and trying to nurse 2 weeks ago!
Its really disgraceful how little support there is in this area when it comes to breast feeding, they make it out like there is loads but then when you need it desperatly there is nothing. I still think it would have been easier BFding william in a sling cos then i could still run round after noah, bottle feeding i have to sit down and he gets up to all sorts whilst im stationary.
24 - i really hope sams eye heals soon, that must be a nightmare! and as for the comments from the midwife, i'm suprised you didn't lamp her one!! i would have in the hormonal mess im in right now lol either that or i would have cried!

No idea what we are doing tmrw for fathers day, not much i should imagine, though simon is off work so im sure we will go out for a walk about if nothing else!

As for today i have not done much, drafted my mum in again to help until simon got in from work! then mum brought my older brother and sister in law over at 7pm to see william for the first time which was nice!

I'm shattered, william is in bed asleep but for how long is anyones guess! just gotta coleif his bottles, fridge them and then i'm off to hopefully get in at least an hours kip before he wakes again!

Catch you lovely ladies soon! xx

Meow - williams poos on sma are really runny and mustard yellow. His poos sound fine and the right colour, they say only to worry if they come out green.

If you find he is crying a lot, it may be more to do with stomach ache possibly colic! we have just put william onto coleif as the other i hasten to add cheaper colic drops didn't work! just saw your post as i was signing off and didnt wanna read and run! xx

Lisa, after spending the whole day working on it (heat, massage, baby nursing often), I was able to get some thicker, stringy milk out when taking a hot shower and I've had a little relief. There are still other lumps that need to be worked out though and it hurt so badly when expressing. Ouch!

happy birthday wiggler!

Thanks for all the clogged duct tips. I think I'll have to really devote myself to working on it for a day. Its been plugged since Thursday though :( I have tons of resources in town, but they're not going to be able to do anything for me besides offer the advice I get online or if it gets really bad I can get medical attention. I have my 6-week post partum checkup on Tuesday so I can bring it up then if I'm still trying to clear it.
I haven't been able to nurse frequently since my nipples are still raw and sore since we're still working on our latching :( I HATE washing my pump parts (and am getting eczema from having my hands in soapy water so often) so I've been putting off the frequent pumping opting but just may have to do that. I can't start tonight since we have a stupid family thing with the inlaws this evening.

It feels quite a bit less lumpy since I took that hot shower. I turned the shower head onto that really strong pulsing/massage setting and let it blast away at my breast for 5 minutes (I think it actually broke the skin a little, lol! whoops!!)
Thanks for the warning about the stringy stuff! :haha:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WIGGLER:happydance::happydance:

Lisa, wigglers advice was great, just want to send hugs:hugs:

Biy, yay for getting some of the lump out, hopefully you'll get the rest out soon:hugs:

Charlotte, Hopefully you managed to get some rest!

thanks girls! :) (and can I add that I've missed you all!)
I do have to share that Daniel is now wearing size 2 diapers.. he's freaking HUGE :)
If only he would pee a little less often, I wouldn't be going through diapers so fast :haha: 14 wet diapers in one day is his personal record.

:jo: lol

No seriously, no way are you even close to old, least I hope not cos that will make me super old at 28 :(

Lol Lisa, Daniel sounds like a pee pee monster :haha:

Mummy- you arent old! You look bloody fab in your FB pics!

Oh dear which pics did you see, some are super embarrassing, probably more so for DH:haha: For most of them though I was 6 years younger than now and 3 children less, thankyou :hugs: You are very pretty yourself hun!

I think there's a party going on next door again, hubby going mad again, its a different neighbour this time. Lol by the end of our time here we'll probably have no neighbours left  Wiggler I'll send hubby your way to get rid of your crazies!

Happy birthday, Wiggler.

Lisa- one random heating tip that worked for me was to put a little bit of water on clean diapers and then microwave them for about 30 seconds. Then apply them to your boobs. Sounds weird, but it works. They don't allow the water to drip out and provide a nice, warm, steamy heat.

Happy Birthday Wiggler! :cake:

Wow size 2 Lisa! He must be getting big. Where do you get your diapers? I signed up for Amazon mom with subscribe and save and get mine for 14 cents each (compared to 30 at Babies R Us!

I'm using Amazon mom too... I love getting Amazon prime shipping for free! :)
I haven't subscribed yet since I don't know how often I'll need them and when to size up.
We're using pampers, they work the best for us. I want to try the Costco brand ones but DH is nervous about buying a whole case when we don't know if they'll fit well, lol.

UGH, I keep thinking I've dissolved the clog but its still there :( How often did you heat/massage/nurse Bizy to move yours?

Happy Birthday Wiggler!!

Hey Lisa, nice to see you back!! :hugs:
