Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

Anberlin was 13lbs 4oz two days ago...She's still in size 1 diapers, and one month clothing. 3 month clothes are just starting to fit her.

Sam is being weighed tomorrow. :D Glad Anberlin is similar in cloyhes and weight to Sam. He has no rolls so I have no idea where he weight goes on. xx

Me and bethany are in the garden atm, I hope it doesn't start raining! lol

Is Sam long? Maybe it is just heavy bones, a compact little guy:thumbup:

I hope Eilidh gets out of newborn, I have way better stuff in older sizes but if she's not wearing cloth then newborn is still baggy and she's still in newborn nappies. It is odd shes what 4lbs lighter than Sam and in similar sizes:wacko:

Does anyone here watch American dad? Eilidh is wearing a lightblue babygro with her cloth bum on and looks a similar shape to Roger

Wiggler that sounds like a fun day, I'm super jealous as its beginning to suck having to stay in all day from the heat lol

Brandi, how you been hun?

Newborn jeans we have need to be rolled up?! He has quite a long body though, but must be heavy bones, funny little guy!!

We should all take a picture of our babies next to a one litre coke/sprite/fanta/water bottle to compare!! :D xx

Wow wiggler she is so dinky and in such big clothes she must be really long and lean :) George is still in size 1 nappies and the tabs overlap to fasten or its too loose and comes down a bit lolol He is 10lb 8oz so really not bad as he is over a week younger :)

How funny would it be to see all our LOs lined up nexted to a bottle lol

Mummy your DH sounds soo cute, really good of him to remember, he's right to be pleased with himself :)

Ive just seen a gorgeous outfit in Asda, but thought money was tight this month after checking my balance so didnt get it, then came home to check my online account to find most of my bills have gone out and I had the wrong date in my head! So money is actually better than I thought :dohh: might go back for it in the week lol

Aww new, I hate it when that happens with money, I'm always losing track of whats in the accounts too, hope you get the outfit:hugs:

Yeah DH has his moments:cloud9:

George is so ickle! Esp for a boy baba, is he still following a centile line?

He's dropped off the 9th line for BF babies (which I think equates to about 5-7th line of standard charts), but has sort of followed it for 3 weeks (tiny drop but not much). this is ok, the problem was dropping every 2-3 weeks.

I hate direct debits, I try to keep all my payments between 28th-2nd of the month so they come out together, but car insurance is something like 9th, house ins is 7th, phone is mid month too none of them will change the date so I forget where when they all due although nice sometimes like today when I realised the balance was after bills, sometimes I get a shock when a bill comes out midmonth lolol

George is moving!!! I just put him on his spin and explorer thing for some tummy time and until now he just lay there and didnt do anything, not knowing he has hands he's been unable to move himself lol but his head has got stronger, Anyways, just put him on and he found out if he draws his knees up he can push himself off the spinner!! So that quickly got taken away and I put him on the mat, on his tummy, and he did the same, drawing his knees up and pushing he was able to get off the mat! Arghhhh... still doesnt know what his hands are for though

Go George!!:happydance:

Do you have to do any supplementing for him or just monitoring?

Just made some white choc flapjacks, probably wont be in the dress this week:haha:

I thought I would give a proper update on how the appointment went now that I am back inside and I can see the screen properly.

The doctor said I seem to be a completely different person to how I was after Dylan and says its pretty obvious now that I had PND after I had him.
Bethany has a lip tie and even though it gives her an odd latch, because it doesn't hurt me and she is gaining weight it won't need treating.
The marks on her eyelid, forehead and all over the back of her head are stork marks and will likely never fade 100% (Dylan had one too and its almost invisible now unless he is hot/angry)
She is now 57.5cm long :cloud9:

:hugs: Wiggler, glad you dont have the PND this time, it must be a whole different experience. She's doing so well:happydance:

She is doing great Wiggler :) Glad the lip tie isnt an issue for her, good spot though hun!

Mummy I dont need to suppliment him, Im getting conflicting advice but George is constantly gaining, even if its only small amounts and not on a consistant line. He is very content at home, feeds in a regular pattern and is developing well, so I think its just his size. The Dr was very reassuring and said she thinks his length is throwing off the weight chart as he certainly isnt thin or unhealthily underweight. His dad is only small, 5ft 6", and not a large build, and although I put weight on and have plenty to lose, my frame size is small also 5ft 6" and under the fat only a small frame. I dont expect George to be big and chunky! Joshua is a solid lad, and although he was small as a baby he is solid now but his dad was tall and built like a house.

It is a VERY different experience this time!! With Dylan I never felt like he was mine and felt no bond (even though I BF for 6 weeks) until he was about 6 months, I would cuddle him and do all the "mummy" stuff, but it was all just cos it was what I was meant to do, I just wanted someone to come in and take over. This time it all feels so natural, I love every second and I feel so guilty that I never felt like this from the start with Dylan even though I know its not something that I could control or help.

:hugs: Wiggler, I cant imagine how awful it would feel but remember its not your fault:hugs:

New, Eilidh was always consistantly gaining too, like about 3-4oz a week but she got diagnosed as failing to thrive, guess she had to catch up to:wacko: Lol at build like a house, my grandad used the expression "built like a brick shit house" :haha:

Lol mummy, thats exactly what I was thinking, thats a term we use back at home but didnt think it'd be polite on here rofl, I wasnt sure if it was just a northener thing to say

If she is gaining 3-4oz a week how can that be failure to thrive? Do you think I should give George something extra? How is Elidh doing on the rice?

See I wouldn't have thought it was failure to thrive either as she was gaining some but the charts were just showing her dropping, they also seem to think the 5th centile and lower is ftt too:wacko: On the rice she gained 10oz, that week was just bfing and 2 little bowls of rice and breast milk.Last week they had me doing alternating bfing and ebm with formula added (GI doc got pissed with pediatrician saying he added it too soon, it turned out Eilidhs puking which was the reason rice was started was down to GI doc giving me wrong instructions as to how much formula to add:dohh:) now back to rice as she didnt gain as well. The reason she got severe ftt writen was her height dropped the centiles too. I cant say whether rice would be best for George but I can say how well it worked for us:thumbup:

Joshua was diagnosed with ftt and was put on rice by 9 weeks and boy did he thrive after. Nothing at all has been mentioned this time, ive asked about formula top ups and been told not yet. Maybe its different as his height is still above 50th and gaining well. With Joshua both height and weight dropped to 2nd centile.
