I'm getting a new phone asap and going online is so much cheaper. I know that carphone warehouse and phones 4 u are pretty popular but does anyone have any experience with buymobiles.net or affordablemobiles? And others like that sort. The lesser known companies. Any I should avoid?

I just go direct to the networks and see which one has what I want and buy from them direct.

I agree. Although I just got the S3 a couple of months ago and kinda wish I'd renewed my contract through phones 4 u so I could've got the red one lol. But I've always had a better experience dealing with the networks directly xx

I got my current phone from buymobilephones.net with a free iPad - the service is brilliant and I would highly recommend them. I'm going to upgrade through them when my contract is up in February x

I got mine and DH most recent phones through mobiles.co.uk and they were very good & would use again. In the past I have used dial-a-phone and e2save and they have all been good really. :flower:

I would be very careful when upgrading through them. I work for a phone network and nearly all people who take contracts from lesser known companies that are upgraded are given a knew contract and don't know they are paying for two for months.

If upgrade through them, confirm everything they say to you and ensure you read the paperwork/emails within your return time just there is something wrong.

I always go directly to the network, after working for a network, I have seen to many problems arising from taking contracts from other places, including Phones4U.

However, many people do get an excellent service and then there's the free gifts.

All I say is, be VERY careful and check everything is what you agree to before your return time is up.

Oh I definitely will, I want to change my tariff anyway so I know I need to make sure it all goes smoothly. I might even go direct with the network if they have the same deal going - which they should do. We check our bank account daily so if 2 payments go out we will know straight away so they won't get away with it!

seems to be a LOT of bad reviews here :( https://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/www.buymobilephones.net

mobiles.co.uk however is owned by Carphone Warehouse
