Molar and Partial Molar Pregnancy Support Group

So you don't know what the result was? What are the odds! Good luck tomorrow. Fingers crossed for 2 lines!

Had my 8 week scan at my ong appointment this morning. My hubby and i were freaking out and expecting bad news but it was all good. The resolution wasn't good on the picture but we saw a strong heart beat which made me cry tears of joy and it measured about within 2days. (The first measurement was off but he didn't have the right cross section). So very excited. :happydance:

None of my previous pregnancies have had babies get beyond 7.5weeks growth so I am feeling really confident today. Such a relief.

Hoping for great news from you all and baby dust for positive tests Mummy2Corban, Lotte and dano xx

Love to you all xx

So happy for you Jacky!

Lotte, so sorry you didn't get your 4. Maybe 7 will be you negative? Big hugs and thinking of you xx

jacky so pleased for you! I bet it was such a relief. When do you go again? Nope i didnt get to see the result! Im getting nervous about testing tomorrow as i got my molar bfp at 11dpo so ill feel if its bfn ill be out! Feeling crampy still but AF shouldnt be due till Thursday or Friday xxx

Jacky - what a beautiful scan!!! I'm so happy that you heard a nice strong heartbeat. My scan is tomorrow after lunch and I'm so nervous. I hope that I will be lucky enough to hear a heart beat at 6 weeks.

Ladies have you ever had a root canal or filling done while pregnant? I have this throbbing toothache. It only bothers me when I chew, bite down or put pressure on it. If I don't bite then the pain is manageable. I did some research online and I think I need a root canal. Many websites say that I should avoid root canals during pregnancy unless it's an emergency. They also say that any dental work should be done during second trimester. And then.. there's the issue about x-rays. At the same time, not being able to eat what I want when I'm hungry is stressing me out.

Please let me know your thoughts. My dentist isn't open yet to get advice.

Ladies, just got off the phone with the dentist. He's not comfortable with doing any work on me in first trimester. I've read online that some doctors are okay with it. But mine is not - unless it's an absolute emergency.

So I'm seeing him tomorrow and he said he would take a look and see if he could fill it temporarily without any xrays or local freezing.

Jacky b - have just come on quickly to say so glad all was good at your scan - exciting times - so pleased for you! xx

Tung, good luck with your scan and hope you can get some relief for your tooth without major dental work!

Mummy2Corban, good luck testing today. Hope this test doesn't fall down with the other one! xx

I have an appointment with my specialist in 2 weeks and will get another scan then and then my ong at 12 weeks so will scan again then. Bit excited to see the growth after 2 weeks.

Jacky--Yay for the strong heart beat and getting past your previous milestone-- :yipee:

Laura--I agree with Lotte--I would have tried to get to that test!! Can't wait to know how tomorrows goes.

Tung--I work in a dental office and we don't do work until the 2nd trimester in my office either. We have digital x-ray equipment so if we do need to evaluate a specific area our patients get double lead blankets and the digital exposure is suppose to be way less than film x-ray exposure so there is minimal radiation. It sounds to me like you have "cracked tooth syndrome" where there is a crack in the tooth so when you bite or put pressure on it the pieces flex apart on the tooth which is what causes the pain. In my office that is normally treated with a crown on the tooth, and then if the patients pain continues a root canal is done prior to the permanent crown being seated. The crown stabilizes the tooth together and in most cases will keep the pieces from flexing apart. Some times if the fracture in the tooth goes too deep then the tooth can need to be extracted. Yep I'm a dental dork. Hopefully they can do a x-ray to rule out infection--but it sounds like the Dr. may be against a single x-ray even. Good luck!! Can't wait to hear about your scan tomorrow also!!

Laura how did the test go? I hope it went well!

Pretty sure i'm out this month - just waiting for af to show to start again!

Xx

Fab news jacky!!!!
M2C, good luck for your test!!
Lotte, fingers crossed for you too hun!

Blakesmom - thanks for all the information!! it was very helpful! My dentist is 100% against doing any work on me even x-rays. He said when I go in today, he will see if he can put something there or shave it down to ease the pain. Other than that he said I have to wait for 2nd trimester.

Lotte- I'm sorry you feel like you're out! BFP will come very soon!!

Mummy2Corban and Dan-O - how are you ladies feeling?

I will come back on in the evening to update you all on my ultrasound!!!

Looking forward to seeing your scan tung!

Laura - I hope you are OK?

When did you guys get your BFP's - how many dpo were you?
I am 10 dpo today - really hoping for a miracle but need to stay realistic too!

xx

Tung how was your scan?

Lotte you ok?

I tested this morning and BFN :cry::cry: i tested again before i had my bath (got lotsa IC) and there was a extremely faint line so i think it may have been an EVAP :cry::cry: I guess if no AF tomorrow or friday ill test again. Ive been a bit crampy and had some lower right feelings but i dont know if im just hanginh onto being preggo! At this point i wish AF would show up so i can move onto the next month.

xxx

Hi ladies, scan went well. We tried the regular ultrasound and only found a gestational sac at first. Then the tech noticed something that was hiding in the corner but couldn't get a better look. So we tried trans vaginal. We found the Sac, yolk sac AND a heart beat!! it as 150 beats/minute. I didn't get to hear it because it was so small. I saw something very small flickering. I'm exactly 6 weeks. I didn't get a photo to bring home with me because everything was digital.

After the ultrasound I went to the dentist and had a temp filling put in. Hopefully that will last me until 2nd or 3rd trimester... or even after giving birth!

Lotte - I got a very faint positive at 11dpo.

Mummy2Corban - there's still hope! I hope the witch (af) doesn't show her ugly face!

*baby dust*

Lotte I was 11DPO this time--normal LP for me was 15-16days.

Laura: :hugs: I hope that evap was really the start of your BFP---keep us updated on your progress!!

Tung: glad they were able to do something for you to get you by--has the biting pain stopped??

Tung glad you got your tooth sorted. And congratulations on your scan. So exciting that you got to see a heart beat! That is wonderful!

Mummy2Corban, I was 13dpo when got positive but I didn't test before then because apart from being tired I didn't have any signs. Hope its the start of a positive xx

Lotte, hope you get lucky. I didn't have any signs either but around 11dpo I did start feeling very tired. I put it down to the late nights I had been having. Fingers crossed for good things xx

Yes the biting pain has stopped. They shaved it down a little and put a some sort of white soft filling in it.

How is everybody else?

What are the chances of miscarriage after seeing a heartbeat? even at 6 weeks? =S
