Wow that's one hell of a drop ihave5!! Great news! I would just wait the 6 months from the d&c if your levels stay down, which is highly likely!

M2C my levels were not back to normal until the bleeding had fully stopped, with both my post-molar early miscarriages, so don't panic If you still have a little showing on your next beta

It's such a hard choice. Why are there so many different time lines for.different drs. I think.I will go on the pill after the dell wears off on Sept. Then I can see if o nees to get my cycle regulated. It was really off before I got preg. Them get off the pill in Jan and use natural methods. To give time for pill.to wear off. Because if I want to try to be due on semster breaks them I need to.either get preg Oct or nov or march for winter break. I would rather be sue summer break due to the fact I will have an extra.month with baby without worrying about studying. Bit is 4 or 5 months enough vi don't Carr what my Dr says.)

But good question in your opionion knowing I went down so fast do you think 4 or 5 months is enough. What risks am I taking if I try then? Anybody know if there are any?

I agree ihave5boys....I feel so much more informed then my doctor on molar/partial molar pregnancies. When I met her I asked how many patients does she have going through this, and she said 3, including me...so it's not like she's got loads of experience. Then she printed out the 23 page PDF that she is using to "treat" me and a bunch of the research is from 1994...um almost 20 years old!

So It seems to me the most up to date doctors are saying 3 month wait from zero if you get to zero before 8 weeks, at least for partial mole, I don't know about complete moles. But that's what I'm basing my decision off of.

They just like to monitor you for a while after your loss to check that nothing is starting to grow back. Usually if you get back to negative on your own then you won't get PGTD. My hcg started to shoot up again about 16 weeks after my loss (hence why i had treatment) but I never got back to negative in that time.

Honestly, if I'd have been negative right away, I don't think I'd have waited more than a few months. As it turned out I only waited 6 months after the chemo, but it took 15 months trying to conceive after that to get pregnant with my boy anyway!

Vicki since levels are dropping so quickly I agree with Rafferty--3 months of "negative" results should be fine. My Dr. considered under 3 as "negative" and did wish to follow my bloods for a year post d&c--5 months post d&c is when I got my BFP... Not sure what follow up care will be after baby--I'll keep you posted on that after my BFP I did have to do 48 hour bloodwork, and they made me go for a few early scans--everything else has been just like my first pregnancy as far as prenatal care.

Thanks for the responses. I am so excited about this and I am really thinking about trying again in Oct. Nov. Since Dr. Isn't really going to keep testing me that I know of. I will just tell Dr that the hormones bug me and the condom broke or something like that.

I emailed the top specialist in U.S. and he told me 3wks &3 months of neg. Since my Dr isn't going to do another test for a month I decided my levels are low enough to show neg. So I and going to take weekly dollar tests. Then when depo shot wears off I am going to use condoms. (as long as next month it is below 5.) And Sept - Oct. No condoms and I will test monthly by then (will have my time by then.) And if I get preg I will play dumb. We were using condoms and the I have been testing just to make sure it didn't grow back. So I dont know if it did or a new preg.

I guess I am torn between not pissing off the Dr. And the new research. And my age. I am 35. And you are more fertile 3-6 months after miscarriage. I just respect this Dr and I know he is professonal and should not show judgement if it does happen. But he is dead set matter of fact against it Nd I should be on b.c. that messed me up mentally before. Not doing b.c. after this.

If it not happen in Oct. Sept then I wait till march next year not happen then Oct and Sept next year. After that I will not worry about trying to be due around a semester.

Prego ladies - how are you all feeling?

afm - I had my consultants appointment and all went well, she said everything was looking good and measured my tummy which she said was spot on! I've been signed off into the care of my midwife for the rest of the pregnancy which im really pleased about. She also said that after the birth my placenta will be sent of for testing of molar tissue and the results will be sent to Sheffield who will then contact me to monitor my levels go down by weekly urine sample until I hit negative again. Apparently this will happen every time I'm pregnant now - feels good to know I'll always be well looked after.

On a side note - if any of the pregnant ladies are interested I'm part of a great group on facebook if you'd like to join us, they are a fab group of girls some of who I got to know what I was TTC and its a nice easy place to chat and ask questions. Mrs.wag - did you have issues with your numbers going down and that OS why they are testing the sac after every preg? How long did you wait after.

Viki - I didn't have any issues with my numbers dropping, they dropped quickly. They said it was just standard follow up to take my placenta each time. I got pregnant 3 months after my D&C and after 6 weeks of negative results

So I got my blood results back from last friday and they have went from 5 to 43 :/ Im freaking out, its very unlikely this is a new pregnancy as my husband and I have been really careful, I go for my bloods tomorrow and will know more on monday :/ the wait is going to kill me I want answers right now

The nurse said I can try when I want to. It's all appeared to be a early miscarriage and my levels are back down there happy. Fingers crossed its a keeper next time xxx

Glad your levels are going down well hun, just a shame you had to go through that. As you know the same happened to me and I fell pregnant with Sid just a few cycles later, hoping you follow the same path
