Molar and Partial Molar Pregnancy Support Group

Hi everyone, I got my HCG results back and they were normal at 11,622. I had a second scan where it showed that the cystic area hadn't got any bigger and my ovaries are fine and baby has a strong heartbeat. The senior registrar came to see us and said in her opinion its not a PMP as the cystic area would of grown and would be all around the sac and not just a small area. Plus my HCG levels were normal, they took more blood, less than 48 hours after the first test. They phoned me later to tell me that they were only 15,562 and the nurse said that it totally wiped out the chance of it being a PMP and that they are low and now they are worried about that. I have another scan on the 17th booked so fingers crossed it will all be good? here are some of the scan pics I've got and you can see the cystic area they are on about. The registrar said they are tiny? They are on the right had side of the pics next to the sac xxxxx

Jojo, thank goodness it doesnt appear to be pmp! I was wondering about you the last few days. I love seeing the photos, but have no experience with cysts in the uterus. Maybe one of the other ladies will have some info for you. Is you baby measuring the proper size for how far along you are? I look forward to hearing how things develop after your next scan. Good luck on the 17th!

Jamaris and Sarah, thanks so much for the well wishes. I am doing so much better. Luc is going through some strange behavior lately, still vomiting occasionally, but seems to be over the stomach virus. Its so weird, it almost always happens at mealtimes and it seems like he is doing it on purpose (like if he doesn't want to eat), so now I am worrying about him. I just dont know what to think, but I do think a trip to the Dr is in order.

Jamaris, I always felt bloated around ov time. In fact, I was always at my heaviest during the month at that time. I also just remembered that I was STARVING pretty much right away with this pregnancy. And how exciting to have gone looking for wedding dresses! Did you find anything you really like?

Sarah, how scary to have gone through a H1N1 scare, especially during the height of all the hysteria over it! It was (is) so dangerous for a pregnant woman and her baby! Funny how people are still dying of it and we dont really hear about it anymore. At least I don't hear about it in the US anymore. I'm glad this next flu season didnt get as bad again!

I'll update after my appt on Friday. I cant wait to see the baby again! I think if we get good results I will feel comfortable "going public" with the pregnancy. Fingers crossed!

Speak to you ladies soon!

JoJo thats great news, it really all looks so great for you now! Like Amanda I have no experience with the cysts I'm afraid but your little beanie looks very happy in there, so sweet!

Amanda yes it was horrible, I was trying not to worry too much as I didn't want to be stressed but it was awful. I had the anti-viral meds but Its exactly the same over here in that we hardly ever hear about it now. I had my flu jab this year though, I didn't want to risk getting anything like that again and giving it to Oliver!

I can see why you would be worried about Luc, I always worry about Oliver forming bad habits etc. It was awful when he wouldn't eat when he was ill but luckily I'm still breastfeeding and he didn't go off that at all, so that kept his fluids up. I hope the Dr can help :hugs:

Hi ladies! Just wanted to let you all know that today's ultrasound went great! The baby is still measuring a week ahead and we got to actually hear the HB for the first time today! Exciting!

The ultrasound, coupled with the blood tests I had down bring my chances of having a baby with Down's Syndrome to 1 in 4,700 and a baby with Trisomy 18 to 1 in 49,000. I will take those odds any day! It was so great to see the baby moving on the screen. I don't know how to post pictures, but we got a couple of cute pictures. Any advice? Oh and I've finally gone public on Facebook with the news. Even though I was still nervous going in, I am more and more confidant that this baby will be born!

Jojo, I looked at your pictures again (didnt realize I could enlarge them before) and wow, they are so clear! Mine are not anywhere nearly as good as yours! I'm hoping when I do the big 20 week ultrasound we will get some better pics.

Congratulations on your fabulous scan results Jojo1972 & amandaslucsmom!! :yipee: xx

I have another question...did anyone have any change to their cm between the time of conception and finding out you were pregnant? I know with Jamari I did I had tons more, and i currently have 1 week left until I can take a preg test if my period doesnt come on the 21st! I must say I have had a few symptoms..period-like pain down there, nauseuous occassionally and more cm..maybe its wishful thinking or my mind or body 'tricking' me after what happened to my first pregnancy, but Im kinda optimistic that I may have fallen first go..or lets just say Ill be suprised if my monthlys arrive! fingers and toes crossed! I know alot of women say that u dont have symptoms that early on, but we started trying last week or feb...so do you think its possible? love to all xoxo:hugs:

I did have an increase in cm, more like the increase you get with ov didnt go away, but once I got my BFP things have pretty much dried up. I dont really remember what it was like with when I was pregnant with Luc.

I do think its possible for you to get pregnant the first month! I did with Luc. Just be positive, it'll happen!

Good luck tomorrow, Jojo! I pray all goes well for you and sending lots of positive thoughts you way!

Hi everyone, it looks like its not a PMP and that I have a blood clot in the placenta that has formed some tiny cysts. It hasn't grown at all since the first scan and everything else including baby:happydance: is all normal and healthy. They will be keeping an eye on the cystic area throughout the pregnancy, and I feel so relieved. Thank you to you all for being so supportive and welcoming xxxxxx

Jojo, that's fabulous news hun!
I had a cystic area on a pelvic scan once, but it has gone now, hopefully yours will do the same thing :flower:

Good luck for this cycle Jamiris mummy, when will you test? :happydance:

Clo, the same thing is happening to me, I've no idea where the time's going!

xxx

Thankyou ladies!:)
Dan-o my period is due Monday, so if it doesnt come I will test Tuesday morning...Praying I have to test! Few crampy feelings today, not sure if pre period pains or early preg pains! I remember with Jamari, when my period was due, I had no idea I was pregnant, and around the time period was due I took some pain relief for the cramps thinking it was my period coming when in fact it was my pregnancy! Ahhh! OH thinks I am, I sure hope so! We also just got news my OH has been offered a football contract in Western Australia, which is the other side of Aus! We are moving there in 2 weeks! Im excited as we are going for six months and coming back, I just hope my specialist here can refer me to someone on the other side of Australia to take care of me when I am pregnant! I will post on Monday and let you know if the dreaded Af has arrived or not!
Love to all:hugs: Clo I cant believe you are due in 8 weeks!!! Oh my gosh you are such an inspiration girl! xoxo

Hi ladies:)
