Molar and Partial Molar Pregnancy Support Group

Hi all,

Laura - how are you feeling? Decided when your going to test? FX'd for you!

Raff - How are you doing?

Tina - Your looking great, pregnancy obviously suits you! I still feel like I just look chubby :haha:

Jacky - I've gone up a cup size too - my mum has nicknamed me Barbie because of it!

Jk - amazing news from your scan! Congrats!

WTCRN - Sorry you've been through this :hugs: I had my pmp and D&C in Dec last year, my levels hit negative in March and I got my BFP in April, we wern't trying but had a happy accident! All has been fine with this pregnancy, I've just had extra scans early on. From the research I have seen the risk of relapse is very low but you need to do what feels best for you. As long as you feel comfortable with your decision :flower:

AFM - had my follow up anomoly scan yesterday and bubs was finally co-operating so the sonographer managed to check the heart and all is looking perfect! So no more scans now, just normal midwifes appointments. Can't believe I've made it this far - its finally starting to sink in that I'm going to be a mummy.

O Megan I'm so glad your scan went well! Not long till Christmas ;) won't be long until you meet your beautiful rainbow xxx

I'm think I may test sat as I'll be 11dpo so I may have a chance of seeing a line! I think I'm not testing early as the mc has taken the wind out of my sails a little so we shall see over the weekend xxx

Thanks Laura - I'm getting really excited about Christmas now lol!

Good luck for sat if you do test!

Got anything nice planned for the weekend?

It's gonna be a busy Christmas for you guys but what a beautiful gift. We can also use your ticker as a crimbo ticker too! Hehe! Exciting!

Thanks honey! I wish for a bfp but not hopeful xxx

Hi ladies, just popping in to ask a quick question.
Has anyone got a hcg figure for approx 6 weeks?
My urine beta has come back as 106,275 for 6w1d by ovulation or 5w6d by ultrasound.
Seems very high to me??

Yeah all good, next scan on Tuesday, but I can find the hb on the Doppler now, so that's keeping me ticking along quite happily. :flower:

Good luck for your test day hun, it only takes one swimmer!! ;)

Congrats on the scan going well mrswag!

I had my d&c on Sept 21 2011 and my first "negative" blood test was on Dec 28 2011--but in my opinion it could have been "normal" sooner for me but I had been switched to monthly tests. We did a NTNP cycle, then 1 cycle of more serious TTC and the 3rd cycle fell pregnant again, so I had negatives in Dec, Jan, and Feb and then March had an hcg of 2900 as I was pregnant. For us falling pregnant had been difficult in the past so I felt NTNP sooner than the recommended 6 months wait following the PMP probably wouldn't be a bad thing for us...and everything has been just fine so far with this pregnancy.
Thanks for replying,
Yes, I think I know what I want to do. I go in this Friday for another test and if it is 0 I think we may not worry about contraceptive in october, it's only a month away of what my doctor and I originally talked about in the beginning. My level dropped to 4, last wednesday, in 5 weeks. I think I should be fine and don't see how waiting 1 month could really make that much of a difference. Maybe I won't get pregnant but I'm tired of stressing over not. I'm just going try to be laid back and if it happens in October it happens-if not, no big deal. This forum has really helped me espeically with how rare PMP are. It's nice to chat with ladies who have gone, and are going through the same thing.

Laura I can't wait until Saturday (especially since if you post early and I'm up late I could know as soon as Friday night here)!!

Layouura, I hope you have hood news to share too. I can't wait til tomorrow xx

Megan, great news on your scan. I like your mum's nick name for you. I might start hearing if i get any bigger :)

Dano, good luck with your next scan. I haven't had any bloods since 5 weeks but on one of my result reports says that 6-8wks post LMP should be between 4000 - 150000 and 8-12wks 64000 - 210000. There is a huge variation quoted and it drops of by 14wks. Looks on track with those levels. Hope that helps a bit.

WTCRN, the decision is yours based on how comfortable you feel from the information you have available. I had my d and c mid jan and by the start of march my levels were negative. My specialist wanted 3 months of negatives but i really only got in 2 months because by May I was pregnant with a little bit of a surprise and a month early. I have been monitored very closely and with my 20 wk scan a wk ago was glad to see no molar tissue at all in the placenta. Ultimately its your decision and you need to be comfortable with it. Your doctors should still support you.

Raff will you test early?

Starting to get excited now about it all even though my doctor told me that he will be on holidays when i am due - oh well. Its going to be a wonderful start to 2013 i think. Outside the management team, the rest of work have started to find out, lots of talk and rumours from the night shift. Makes the day a little more interesting.

Sorry Laura, dont know what happened when I typed your name - still can't get a hang of touch screens for typing.

Haha! Thanks becky. I have had some low right sides sensations but who knows! Hopefully I'll know tomorrow! Xxx
