7 pound exactly but is only 46.5cm long and doesn't look at all like she weights that much. So strong when my hubby went home, I just want to watch her sleep instead of sleeping myself. Very surreal

Afm, so did another frer this morning and also a digi. Digi said 2-3 which i am happy about since i think i am four weeks today. Test line on frer is also darker than the control. Glad to have got to four weeks with nice strong lines, just wish i hadn't tested so early!

Also girls- when did you start taking prenatals again? I stopped after the diagnosis and wanted to wait until I was negative for 3 weeks, which I am now. I'm nervous that the folic acid will trigger the mole again, has anyone heard this? Or it's more so when you are coming down you shouldn't take prenatals? Also- any recommendations as which ones to take? Thanks!!

I had exactly the same worry about folic acid. I asked Charing X (the specialist hospital) about it and they said it was fine, and that there was no reason to be concerned about it. I started taking them when my hcg was less than 25 (i figured some count <25 as normal) and my hcg never went up after taking them.

I didn't have a mole as such so once my hcg was back to normal i could start trying, which was why i started taking folic acid before i got to less than 5.


I go on friday to get the results from the fetal medicine consultant to find out what happened with Rory. I told him i was expecting again and he said we would maybe do a scan and then go from there. May be too early for a scan though.

Jacky (Becky): Congratulations on your little girl! Love the name and I know you are just over the moon with her.

Angel: I had never heard that about the prenatals. I continued to take mine for a week or so, but quit. I think I'll start back up after my next af (whenever that will be). I'm so glad you don't have to go in weekly anymore. Such a pain (really)!

Lotte: I know what you mean about testing early. My best friend didn't find out she was pregnant until she was 20 weeks and in some ways I think that would be ideal. It is never too early for a scan as they can at least determine how thick your uterine lining is and perhaps see a little gestational sac. I had two early scans with my dd with the first being at 15dpo (I thought I was further along). When she repeated the next week we saw the gestational sac.

Thanks to all for you advice on af. The waiting continues (and to think I usually hate seeing af. Oh, the irony!).

Angel because of the chemo they told me no folic acid while on treatment. I finished chemo in December and started folic acid in march ready to try in June.

Lotte ill be thinking if you lots on Friday. At least your dr is keen to keep an eye on you even if it is early.

Vegas I hope ad turns up soon. I hate af but was waiting and excited when she arrived!!!!!

I was told to start folic acid again after my d and c but before pmp was determined, then once pmp, no-one told me to stop taking them. I hadn't heard about re-growth with it.

Afm no nothing yet dont know when i suppose to start because before the molar i was having a cycle every 2 months. I am hoping the miscarriage reset everythung and will go back to monthlies. My lower back started killing me last night at work. Other then that just waiting. The good news is i cant afford rptest for at least a week so no waisting money on them.

Vicki I was 28 days regular cycle before my molar but had extreme period pains after the molar my cycle varied in length but no real period pain. Hopefully your preggo! Fingers crossed.

Lotte no more scans for me unless something crops up. Got midwife a 28 weeks which seems ages away. Bump is growing and I'm feeling movement so I'm feeling ok.

We are about to take the dogs for a walk then have a roast when we get back! Then an afternoon of cars 2 as corban loves racey cars! Bless him!

Sorry I've not replied, I just returned from our little honeymoon.
Lotte, we got married in Ely, just a little family only day. Loving your news! Hope Friday goes ok.
My cycle was all over the place before my pregnancy and I was told it should help my body to get into a regular cycle. The first two were right on time, this one was 5 days late, so I got a bit excited. Oh well, maybe next month
